another thing that no one really knows about li siyue and also one of the things that could easily bring her career down is that one of her exes went to jail and she used to promise to wait for him, only to ghost him completely lmao and it was a very messy, toxic but romantic relationship because the chemistry they had was like nothing else but of course he got himself into jail and of course the only thing she will never do is wait so. for what it's worth, the relationship was prob just a year or so. anyway he hates her for leaving him hanging and she still thinks he's hot but that's it. she may or may not hate him for hating her though.

you see, the relationship between lu mengran and her parents is actually more distant than one would think. while they rarely get into any huge arguments -- and that's because they barely stay in contact with each other to start with -- it also means when they do get into one, it's as bad as it gets. i imagine mengmeng would get injured or sick sometimes, maybe during filming or because of something else, and naturally she wouldn't even think about telling anyone because there really isn't any point to, but as she slowly starts getting more public recognition, it gets harder to hide a secret sometimes so it's easier for her parents to find out online. and when they call her to confront her about it, it will not be pretty. her mother's "you never tell us anything, why would you hide this from us?" and her father's "do you even treat us like your parents?" would just sound harsher than expected, especially to a sick person. how do you expect your child to lean on you for support when you've left them alone for the most of their childhood, and even now? and honestly, playing the parent role right now to her is just meaningless because to her, she's past the age of needing parents? at least she managed to survive just fine so far? and maybe, if you think about it, it's smart of her parents to play nice to her now because she (eventually) makes the most money in the family as her career grows so.

i hv seo harim brainrot so hard that i made an entire instagram account from one of my unused ones for her and while trying to populate her following list, it makes me realized that after what happened back then, she eventually would have deactivated her existing account back then and while she had never been an influencer or anything, she certainly had quite a number of followers, say tens of thousands bc she was aiming to go into the modelling and fashion industry after all. anyway so i think her instagram would just be one of those that ppl label as "aesthetic goals" honestly, and was just very "seo harim" type of lively.

and now she still has an instagram account, but it's very private and you would never guess it's her because she barely posts herself and she probably has less than a handful of followers. she still posts from time to time, but it's some sort of a personal digital diary? so expect emo posts and captions, some old pictures of her and her old friends, random things that she sees and thinks about and whatnot.

but the main point why this post is even made is she reposts funny videos on her instagram story lmao. which is a total contrast to how she is as a person now to most people nowadays. a lot of ppl take one look at her and they'll say she's beautiful, has a certain way of carrying herself that makes it hard for people to look away, and with a comment that she looks like she is up to something, which makes it funny because this supposedly beautiful-but-tortured girl spends most of her time on social media aside from reading news just liking and reposting funny videos that she really likes and then back to reading case files like she hasn't been watching the compilation video of j.yp dancing for the n-th time.

also worth mentioning that she's good at dancing tbh, at least good enough for reels-worthy and that's it. she would've made such a good instagram model or whatever if she wasn't obsessed with crime now tbvh.
