ugly post but here's some bit about my new girl lu mengran 陆梦然 (lu yu.xiao fc) while i work on her more

c-list actress who is just a bit unlucky and doesn't have much resources to back her and her career up, does a lot of low budget web productions, occasionally in some bigger productions as side leads

came from some small small town where everyone knows everyone, and while the people there are nice(tm), they (especially her grandmother that she grew up with) seem to think she's some big movie star while in fact she's ... just not

does a lot of random photoshoots and modelling instead, also works several part time jobs too like at the amusement park etc

probably the closest friend of shu anruo, and probably the first celebrity(?) that anruo's worked with, and end up getting closer over time

ambitious and easy-going, a bit dramatic (and loud)

has a younger brother and he grew up with her parents, they get along good enough (but only when her parents are not around)

was signed to an agency before, but she got scammed by said company instead and now she's just trying to get some bigger roles so she could pay off her debt, and maybe also grow her career

usually buys her fans snacks and drinks if she happens to see them, or if they visit her near her filming set, but luckily(?) there aren't many of them most of the times

i have also been thinking about how the only time (or the very first few times) she went viral is because she was seen to be too close with the male lead of this one drama that she landed a side role for, and nothing is weird or shouldn't be between them, they're just friends because same age range and she is probably recommending him the best hidden spots of the amusement park she works at, but it's due to their vast differences in terms of popularity and all, people are not exactly liking it.

especially with how happy-go-lucky she appears to be sometimes, so people think she's doing it on purpose??? and for her, she hates to know that she's going viral for things like this, but after all for someone who barely gets any attention, 黑红也是红 T_T

i keep thinking and now i'm fairly certain that lu mengran has a lot of random skills that she picked up for her roles and those things just stick. like she has to learn french for one role and while she's never been to france herself (the scenes of her in france for that drama was, unfortunately, in front of a green screen) she probably speaks it better than she does english now oof. she can hold her breath underwater for three minutes straight bc she learnt how to for a drama that was about swimming, divers and mermaids and it took her quite a long time to learn, as she was afraid of water, but at least it makes shooting any future underwater scenes easier. makes pretty and steady latte art and a little random fact is that the coffees she makes are usually a bit sweeter than necessary. has a tractor license that she got because she used to help out in her village's farm work and she also knows how to milk cows and goats and -- how to butcher a chicken. and also so many more that one day i will update more hopefully sldjsdf

this is also making me realized she'd be the best suit for those life in countryside variety shows fr she's got everything covered

for the c ent muses, there's almost none of them who is having a good holiday somehow but we vibing with it

shu anruo is back to her hometown and family home, while she misses her mother's cooking, being back home and surrounded by relatives and friends is also doing things to her mental health? girlie wishes she could be sick or dead or busy tbh, at least her eleven year old cousins that she used to find annoying are asking her which celebrity she's worked with is the most handsome, and not asking her if she earns enough to support herself in the first tier cities or if she plans on moving back or pick up her career again as if her work right now is unspeakable. would purposely eat the wrong flavor of mooncake that she's allergic to just so she could lie sick in bed for two days tbh.

li siyue doesn't really oppose to the idea of family gatherings; it's a chance for her to brag about herself one way or another. this year, she's been requested personally by her parents (what an unusual thing!) to perform at one of the private, invitation-only 京圈 vips exclusive gala along with them. this would be a great opportunity, however word got out to fans and netizens that her performance(s) would be unseen and unheard of, and that has angered them quite a bit, for obvious reasons. hence, this zhongqiu is lowkey bittersweet for her, but at least people are talking about her performance(s) through secretly blurry videos and her parents may or may not be mildly satisfied, and no one has noticed that she hasn't properly slept in a week, so that's good enough for her. (also this gotta be a plot someone give me some rich kid x hot celebrity pairing pls let me make her life worse)

lu mengran is probably the only one who hasn't suffered as much, even though she is working and probably has always been so whenever she's not filming. going home is simply not an option, but her younger brother moran did have a brief phone call with her and that's enough for her, she's not looking to talking to anyone else in the family just yet. luckily, this time she's doing her favorite job ever (second favorite to be exact, her first is always acting) which is those dancers/performers-like job at amusement parks like d.isneyland. she's determined to make sure everyone could be in a good mood, so she makes sure to always smile whenever she meets eyes with someone, even when she's tired. but hey, she gets to interact with her comfort cartoon characters too, it's really not that bad. a few fans may recognize her, and if they come and say hi to her, they'll definitely not only leave with photos, but also exclusive stickers and vouchers for the restaurants and gift shops. now, isn't she a true kind princess on this wonderful day?

you see, the relationship between lu mengran and her parents is actually more distant than one would think. while they rarely get into any huge arguments -- and that's because they barely stay in contact with each other to start with -- it also means when they do get into one, it's as bad as it gets. i imagine mengmeng would get injured or sick sometimes, maybe during filming or because of something else, and naturally she wouldn't even think about telling anyone because there really isn't any point to, but as she slowly starts getting more public recognition, it gets harder to hide a secret sometimes so it's easier for her parents to find out online. and when they call her to confront her about it, it will not be pretty. her mother's "you never tell us anything, why would you hide this from us?" and her father's "do you even treat us like your parents?" would just sound harsher than expected, especially to a sick person. how do you expect your child to lean on you for support when you've left them alone for the most of their childhood, and even now? and honestly, playing the parent role right now to her is just meaningless because to her, she's past the age of needing parents? at least she managed to survive just fine so far? and maybe, if you think about it, it's smart of her parents to play nice to her now because she (eventually) makes the most money in the family as her career grows so.
