no offense but two characters running from the authorities and then one of them pulls the other in a dark, small alley to shake them off and they’re both breathing hard and there’s not much space there and they’re looking at each other while trying to hold back chuckles and one of them brings their finger to their lips playfully in a ‘shhh’ motion while smirking and oh no now they’re looking at one another’s lips and one of them whispers “i think the coast is clear now. we could leave.” and the other says “yeah. we could.” but they’re still looking at the other person’s lips and neither make a move to go and they can feel each other’s breath against their skin and. y eah

wishlist. ‘we’re undercover for a mission pretending to be a newly-wed couple and they’re keeping a close eye on us 24/7. i’m even pretty sure they got cameras in our bedroom, so we need to pretend to cuddle up and have sex at night but i’m actually really liking this, you’re really warm and omg i’m actually getting turned on by your fake moaning, help.’  

lowkey need a criminal x agent plot. muse a is an obsessive killer who does it because all she wants is the agent, muse b, to herself. from harming the women he dates, to sending nudes of herself covered in blood or with the bloody item from trap phones, calling him right after she does it and letting him know that she wouldn’t do this if he was hers. but what happens if she’s been right up under his nose the whole time? what if she’s the cute, innocent neighbor that lives close by that he sees after a long day? the one muse b finds attractive, but never pursues because he’s so busy on this case? i don’t know i feel like this plot would be everything.

i've been listening to a lot of pop punk lately and it's really lit a fire for a band plot?? Think about it: a mumu of 4-5 characters that are in a semi or even a fully successful band. the plot follows their lives off and on tour. obvs they are close, but think of the possibilities for friendship/relationship/angst! and throwing in rando temporary charries that are fans/groupies every now and then?? double points if it's a mixed gender band. am i alone here?? yes?? ok!!

we're working on a movie/show together and we just finished our first kissing scene but when the director said "cut" we kept kissing a little longer because it was so good — and now there's a weird tension between us because you're dating someone else/i'm dating someone else/we're both dating someone else but damn i want to keep kissing you

all i want is a bonnie and clyde inspired plot like say muse a and muse b have been (best) friends for a while and they each have their own issues with friends and family and life itself really and decide to run away together? only problem is that they only have a small amount of money so it all starts out with tiny lil ‘hey let’s steal some food and drinks in order to not starve’ but they get a rush from it and it quickly turns into actual robberies with guns and masks and all that good stuff. their friendship could turn into something more or they could stay brotp; just gimme living in a car, watching the sunset and travelling around the country, smoking w*ed & drinking stolen booze and falling asleep underneath the stars.

we’ve lived in this tiny ass town where everyone knows everyone because no one leaves and when we were young we would sit up at night on your roof and i’d listen to you talk about how you were actually going to do it one day and you did but you never knew i’ve had a crush on you ever since back then so when you send me postcards from all these different cities with bright lights it makes my heart hurt and here we are several years later and i’m finally starting to move on but oh wait you’re back and my heart’s beating like crazy well fuck au

have we talked about plots for musicians before they make it big though? because here’s a few:

you just attended one of my gigs away from home, there were barely any people in the audience and i can’t afford gas to go back home just yet. can i crash at your place so i don’t have to sleep in my car?

i play in the streets and you walk past me every day and i make up little songs about something you’re doing/wearing/carrying every time

you saw me crying after one of my emotional songs and checked up on me afterwards

we’re dating and the distance is hard while i’m touring because we can never afford to see each other and my gigs are always during weird hours

i’m touring, you’re hitchhiking, hop in the van and let’s go

i’m famous, you’re not, i just caught you sneaking into one of my parties to hand someone your demo but i’m amused enough to hear you out

one of my bandmates always hooks up with someone after the shows in the space we share so i’m left to fend for myself and you’re sympathetic to my plight

just give me plots where shit is hard and trying and sometimes they think their careers won’t pan out but there’s also a lot of crazy stories and great memories to carry on ok

we’re exes but everyone’s got someone at this new years party and now that you’re here anyway and the countdown for the new year has begun we might as well be each other’s new years kiss but this means NOTHING and i don’t want you back. do i?

ok but a plot where one character is like “lalalala i need a summer job, lalala i’ll just flip burgers, it’ll be fun!! lalalalalalala–it appears i am now employed by a restaurant that is a front for the local money laundering operation” and the other character’s family runs said operation???

i really need a plot with two actors who are on a brand new tv show and it’s kinda awkward at first so all they do is try to make each other laugh during takes and goof off together and pretty soon it’s becoming obvious that they’re falling for each other but there isn’t any pressure from the media yet because the show hasn’t aired yet, but then the premier date hits and the show is a huge success and they have to deal with both of them suddenly being thrust into the spotlight

where one person is actually famous and sets up a dating account with their real picture and the other sees it and is like, oh dude you are not fooling anyone with that picture (because srsly trying to catfish someone with a really famous person is hilarious and cute because the profile also had some really dorky info about liking model trains and farmers’ markets) cue an online romance and when they actually meet the other is pissed because DUDE YOU’RE THAT FAMOUS PERSON and the other is like, yeah, i mean, i thought you knew…

TWIN AU.   an au where the muses are twins. plenty of options here. they could have grown up together, or they could have gotten separated at birth. maybe one is the “good twin” and the other is the “evil twin”.

TIME TRAVEL AU.   if both muses are the same character, maybe muse A travels back in time to ensure their past selves, muse B, don’t make the same mistake that muse A made in the future. if the two muses are not the same character, maybe muse A travels back in time and meets their ancestor, muse B, who looks a lot like themselves. or alternatively, muse A travels into the future, making muse A the ancestor to muse B.

CLONE AU.   where muse A was cloned, be it willingly or against their will, resulting in muse B. what happens from here has endless possibilities, really!

SHAPESHIFTER AU.   muse A is a shapeshifter and shapeshifts into muse B.

MIRROR WORLD AU.   muse A and muse B come from two worlds that are each other’s mirror worlds. one day, while muse A looks into the mirror, they notice that their reflection suddenly starts moving on their own as the two worlds begin to collide with one another.

DOPPELGÄNGER AU.   muse A is the doppelgänger of muse B. bonus points, sometimes doppelgänger are seen as ghostly or paranormal phenomenon and bringers of bad luck, so perhaps muse B is some supernatural being and/or bringer of bad luck to muse A.

MULTIVERSE AU.   the multiverse exists and muse B and muse A are the same person, but from different universes, and at some point in their life stories, their paths took different directions. doesn’t necessarily have to be that one ended up becoming good and the other evil, could be something smaller such as one ended up working as one thing as their job, and the other got another occupation or something small like that. or maybe one was born as some supernatural being or with powers or was turned into a supernatural being / gained powers, etc. there’s really endless possibilities here as well.

plots based off (a few) of my favorite indie romance-drama movies which you should totally watch if you haven't already:

before we go (2014): muse a misses their train home and is stranded in the city with no money or phone. muse b, who works at the train station or maybe just finished dropping someone off at the train, takes it upon themselves to help muse a get home.

the giant mechanical man (2012): muse a works a dead-end job as a costumed street performer and has never really had a sense of identity. muse b has never been able to keep a job, but starts working at a park where muse a often performs.

not another happy ending (2013): muse a is a writer for muse b's publishing business, and muse a has been pushing off their deadline due to writer's block. muse b realizes writer's block only occurs when muse a is happy, so they sneakily try to find ways to ruin muse a's happiness.

like crazy (2011): muse a and muse b attended the same college, but muse a is an international student who has to go back to their home country after school ends. they proceed with a long-distance relationship that is on and off.

one day (2011): covering the span of 10-20 years, muse a and muse b are long-distance college friends who meet once a year and love each other at different times until it's too late... or it isn't.

blue valentine (2010): muse a and muse b's relationship was full of sparks when they were younger and they loved each other recklessly. but muse a gets accidentally pregnant and the two start a family before they're ready. as time goes by, muse a and muse b grow apart.

comet (2014): muse a and muse b met while watching a meteor shower and start a whirlwind romance that, after a few years, is reaching its end. muse a makes a wish wanting to go back to the day they met muse b and enters a parallel universe with the opportunity to change the course of events.
