Chapter 4 - The Aftermath

Everything happens so fast.

Levi and Eren are pushing each other, both of them look pissed.

“Levi! Eren! Please stop!”, You scream at them and put yourself in between them. “Let’s talk outside!”, You yell because the music is so loud.

You drag them both outside and stand beside Eren. You face Levi with your arms crossed.

Eren tenses up and you put your hand on his arm to calm him down.

Eren looks at you, “Who the hell is this guy anyway?”

Eren stares down Levi, not convinced.

You face Eren, “Look, maybe we should all just go home? We’ve all had a lot of alcohol, and it’s getting late.”

Eren’s face relaxes, “Yeah you’re right. I can call us a ca-”

“That won’t be necessary”, Levi interrupts. “Our car is here. Let’s go, Y/n”

Your head snaps to Levi, anger starts boiling in your chest.

“Our? Do you two live together?”, Eren asks quietly.

You look at Eren apologetically. You start to respond, but Levi puts his arm around your shoulder with a smug look.

“Yeah we do. Not that it’s any of your fucking business”, Levi responds coldly.

Your eyes widen and you shove Levi’s arm off of you, “What the hell is wrong with you, Levi?”

You rub your temples and sigh, “Eren, I’m sorry. I lied. Levi is actually my bodyguard. I normally keep that a secret because it’s safer that way. I didn’t want you to get the wrong idea since Levi has decided to be an asshole tonight.”

Eren responds, “Bodyguard? Why do you need a bodyguard? So he’s not a jealous old boyfriend?”

You laugh harder than you expect, “Trust me. He’s not my boyfriend, he’s my bodyguard.”

You look at Levi and he is glaring at you.

“Listen, I can explain everything another time. I’m exhausted, but I promise you Levi is just an employee of my father’s. That’s why he pulled you off of me. He is here to protect me”, You look at Levi, “But clearly he made a mistake.”

You walk over to Eren and smile, “I’m really sorry, but I promise I’ll make it up to you.”

Eren smiles and pulls you in for a hug, “I’m going to hold you to that.”

What you don’t see is the way Eren and Levi are glaring at each other.

You pull away and kiss Eren on the cheek, “See you on Monday.”

Levi follows you to the car and you both get in. Your driver immediately puts up the partition after seeing what was going on outside. You text your friends that you’re safe but that you’re going home.

You turn to Levi who is looking out the window. He honestly looks bored.

“Care to explain?”, You ask annoyed.

Levi doesn’t even look at you. He just says, “Tch.”

You roll your eyes, “Eren is my friend and he was no danger to me. I’m pretty sure I made that obvious by the way I was kissing him.”

Levi scoffs, “I don’t think your father would like how much he was grabbing your ass.”

Your face becomes red and you can feel your blood start to boil. You have had it.

You don’t respond, but immediately regret your immature decision when you see Eren’s response that he’s on his way.

Your car pulls up to your building, and you both exit and head to the elevator inside.

Once in the elevator Levi smirks, “Maybe I’ll invite that little red-head over sometime.”

You stomp out of the elevator and into your home. Maybe inviting Eren over wasn’t such a bad idea after all.

You devise a plan, and text Eren to see if he was interested.

The doorbell rings a 3rd time.

You sigh and put on your robe that was hanging in the closet by the door. You open the door and see Eren smiling.

“Hey! I came as soon as I could”, He responds shyly.

You push through your disappointment and say, “I’m glad you could make it! Come in.”

Eren comes in and takes off his shoes and jacket. You lead him to your bedroom, Levi’s bedroom door is closed but the light is still on. You both walk into your bedroom and you sit on your bed.

“Listen, I’m sorry but I was pretty drunk when I texted you. It was stupid and immature, I’m sorry if I’ve wasted your time”, You say while looking at the floor.

Eren walks over and sits beside you, “Spending time with you is never wasted time for me. We can just hang out and watch movies if that makes you more comfortable.”

You look up at him and smile, “Yeah I’d like that.”

You walk to the bathroom and change into your pajamas. You come back out and see Eren take off his shirt. You notice that he’s only in his underwear.

He jumps at the sight of you, “I’m sorry! I only sleep in my underwear, I was going to get under the blankets before you came back.”

You smile and walk towards the other side of your bed, “It’s okay, you just surprised me.”

You both get under your blankets, and you turn on Netflix.

“What do you feel like watching?”, You ask.

Eren thinks for a moment, “How about Zootopia?”

You start laughing and search for the name. Once you find it your press play, you both are just awkwardly sitting in your bed.

You scoot closer to him, “Do you mind if I make myself comfortable?”

When you walk into the living room you see Levi sitting at the table with a cup of tea. He looks pissed and is scrolling through his phone.

“Good morning”, You whisper and walk to the kitchen.

Eren sits at the couch and starts going through his phone.

“It was pretty quiet last night”, Levi says to Eren.

Eren looks up from his phone, “What of it? Are you some kind of a pervert?”

Levi rolls his eyes, “No I’m not a fucking pervert. What did you two do last night?”

Eren smirks, “Do you really want me to spell it out for you? I think you already know.”

You walk in and say, “Enough! Nothing happened. We cuddled and watched Zootopia until we fell asleep. Now stop glaring at each other.”

“Okay! This conversation is done. Neither of you are my boyfriend, so both of you need to stop being so possessive. I’m my own person and I can do whatever the hell I want. Eren, last night was honestly amazing and I can’t wait to hang out again. I made you some breakfast on the counter, you can let yourself out when you’re done.” You smile and start walking to your room. “I’ve got a date with my bed and Netflix so I’ll talk to you guys later!”

You walk into your bedroom and close the door. You can hear the confusion by your sudden outburst and you giggle. You jump into bed with your breakfast and turn on your favorite show. You spent the rest of the day doing what you do best, absolutely nothing.

Chapter 12 - Not My Day

Your alarm clock starts blaring and it scares the hell out of you. You quickly shut it off and turn over, checking the time on your phone. It’s 9am, today is the last day of the conference and you need to be there in an hour.

You just desperately want someone to want you longer than an evening. Is your body really the only thing people are drawn to? You start to realize why last night is having such a heavy effect on you.

The closing ceremony was after lunch. You sat with Erwin for the rest of the day, you were honestly shocked at how normal you felt with him after last night.

Chapter 13 - Night Out

The plane ride home wasn’t terrible. You took a few sleeping pills before getting on, so once you got to your seat you passed out. You woke to Levi shaking your shoulder. You spent the car ride from the airport to your apartment extremely disoriented and half asleep. Once you are finally home you crawl into your warm bed and immediately fall into a deep sleep.

The sun is what finally brings you out of your deep slumber. You forgot to close your curtains the night before, so the sun is shining in your face. You groggily grab your phone and check the time. It’s almost 10am on Saturday. Damn you slept for a long time, but you definitely needed it.

You check your missed messages and see that your friends are planning to meet around 8:30 that evening at a popular bar near campus.

Campus. You let out a groan. You nearly forgot that you were still in college. That week off of homework and tests was amazing.

Your phone rings and you pick it up.

“Hello?”, You ask.

“Don’t tell me you only just woke up!”, Sasha shouts into the phone.

You smirk, “Yeah I was super tired after the week I had.”

Sasha replies, “I suppose I’ll allow it. Anyway, can Mikasa and I come over? We thought it would be fun to catch up and then get ready together!”

Your eyes brighten, “Yeah that would be great! I can order us some food too.”

Sasha squeals, “YAAAAAY!!!!! We’ll be over in an hour!”

You laugh and then hang up the phone. You schedule your food to be delivered in a few hours from now and you finally drag yourself out of bed. You’re starving so you walk to the kitchen and make yourself some breakfast. You’re sitting at the table when you notice Levi walking out of his room. He’s completely dressed for the day and looks like he’s been up for a while.

“Decide to finally get your ass out of bed?”, He says as he walks to the couch.

You roll your eyes but don’t respond to him. You continue eating your breakfast.

Levi glares at you, “Now you’re ignoring me? Damn you really are a child.”

Your head snaps in his direction and you look him in the eyes, “I’m not a fucking child.”

He snaps back, “Could’ve fooled me.”

The next few minutes you finish your breakfast in silence. Levi is annoying the shit out of you and you really need time away from him.

You stand up and take your dishes to the sink. You walk over to where Levi is reading a book and stand in front of him.

“Just so you know, I’m going to a party tonight. I’m going to have you switch places with my dad’s bodyguard until tomorrow”, You begin to walk away.

“Like hell you are. I’m not leaving your side”, Levi says.

You turn around clearly angry, “And why the fuck not?”

Levi responds, “I don’t trust anyone else to do my job.”

“My dad’s bodyguard is very capable and will take great care of me. Enjoy your boring evening with my dad”, You say curtly, thinking that is the end of your conversation.

Levi looks at you, “No. I refuse to go.”

You snap, “What the hell is wrong with you!? You don’t have a choice, you are not going with me tonight. As a matter of fact, how about you just take the damn night off. We both have had a very long week and I need at least an evening away from you.”

You stomp away and slam your door before Levi is able to argue with you. You immediately open your phone and call your dad.

Your dad answers, “Hello Y/n! How are you feeling after the week in California?”

You respond impatiently, “I’m fine, dad. I just really need a night away from Levi. He’s also exhausted after this last week, so I know he could use the  evening off.” You knew that was a lie.

Your dad responds with concern, “Oh I’m sorry to hear that. I will call Levi and let him know he is not to stay with you tonight. Are you planning to just stay home tonight?”

“Yeah I was just going to have the girls come over”, You feel bad lying. It wasn’t a complete lie though since they were coming over.

“Okay then there’s no need for you to have security tonight. I’ll even send a car over now to pick up Levi and take him to a hotel for the evening”, Your dad replied.

You breathe a sigh of relief, “Thank you, dad. I’m sorry for being snippy, I just really need some girl time tonight.”

Your dad smiles, “Of course, honey. I have some paperwork to attend to, but I hope you have a great night!”

The call ends and you feel relieved. You decide to take a quick shower to prepare for your evening. In the middle of your shower you can hear the front door slam. You smirk, knowing that Levi was forced to leave for the evening.

A few hours have passed since your shower. Sasha and Mikasa have been here for a while, and you all have been catching up and devouring the food you ordered.

You have an hour until you are meeting the guys so you decide to get ready. You’re looking through your closet, trying to find the right outfit. You pull out a simple dress, and Sasha gives you a dirty look.

“Oh hell no. We are all dressing slutty tonight”, Sasha says with her arms crossed.

You look at her confused, “What? Why?”

Sasha comes over and grabs your shoulders, “Oh come on, Y/n. I know you’ve been super bummed ever since you came home. Especially after filling us in about your wild threesome. Which was super hot by the way.” The three of you giggle. Sasha continues, “I think you need a night out where you look and feel sexy. And if you want, maybe you can get some dick tonight.”

You laugh, “Did you forget that I just had a threesome a few days ago? Besides, I don’t really want to hookup with a random person tonight.”

Sasha smiles like she has a secret, “Oh it won’t be a random person.”

You look at her with concern, “What did you plan?”

Sasha replies calmly, “Oh nothing big. I may have invited a certain someone from your business classes to party with us tonight.”

You gasp, “Eren!? Shit. I’m going to be honest, I kind of forgot about him.”

Sasha laughs, “That’s okay. I mean you only met him a few weeks ago. But I heard that he’s very excited to see you tonight.”

You blush, you can’t deny that a small part of you is also excited to see him.

Mikasa speaks up, “If Sasha had to pick out my outfit, she also has to pick out yours.”

You giggle, “Fine. Go ahead, Sasha.”

Before Sasha reveals what she picked out for you, she and Mikasa get dressed. When you see then your eyes widen.

“Damn you guys look amazing!”, You squeal. You quickly realize the theme and cringe at the thought of you wearing something similar.

They both have lingerie on the top with denim on the bottom. It’s sexy but tasteful, they totally pull it off. You on the other hand, don’t think this look will work for you. Sasha holds out one of your favorite lingerie pieces. It’s black and the boob area is completely covered, but the rest of the top is only covered by lace. So a lot of skin will be showing.

You sigh, “Do I have to wear this? I don’t think it’ll look very good.”

Sasha rolls her eyes, “I know you workout with Mikasa fairly regularly. I promise it’ll look good.”

You grab the outfit and get changed in the bathroom. You look in the mirror and a burst of confidence rushes through you. You h/c hair is straightened and you put on some deep red lipstick. You walk out and Sasha immediately starts howling.

“See! I told you! You look hot!”, Sasha yells.

Mikasa smiles, “Don’t worry, Y/n. You really do look amazing.”

You smile and say, “Okay okay! Let’s get going, I need a drink!”

Sasha drives you three because you can’t let your driver know you’re leaving for obvious reasons. You do feel bad for lying to your dad, but it was for the best. You and Levi needed a night away from each other.

The three of you walk up to the club, there’s a short line so you get in the back.

“The boys saved us a table on the second floor”, Sasha says.

You and Mikasa nod, for some reason you start to get butterflies. You haven’t seen Eren in a few weeks, but the last time you did you guys made out and then he snuggled with you all night.

You turn to your friends, “So are you two officially dating Connie and Jean yet?”

Sasha giggles, “Connie and I aren’t official yet, but I think that’s coming soon.”

You smile at Sasha and then look at Mikasa.

Mikasa becomes shy, “Honestly I don’t know if I want a relationship with Jean. He’s just been a fun fling.”

A huge smile is on your face, “I’m so happy for you! There’s no need for labels if you two are just having fun.”

The line is moving quickly, the bouncer takes one look at the three of you and lets you in for free.

Sasha whispers to you, “We still got it!”

The three of you are giggling as you walk in. The bar on the first floor seems pretty empty so you walk up and order your first round of shots. You all were feeling nervous, so shots would definitely help with that. After downing your first drink you order a vodka redbull that you can sip on. The three of you pick up your drinks and head to the stairs. The music was loud and the lights were dim. The alcohol was providing a small buzz that helps boost your confidence.

Sasha leads you to the corner of the large room where the guys are all sitting in a booth. They were all laughing about something, but the moment the three of you approach the booth they stop laughing. They are all gawking at you and your friends.

You cross your arms, “I missed you guys too.” You roll your eyes and the guys start saying their hellos and asking how you were.

The booth was a U shape, Eren was sitting in the middle and Jean and Connie were on the sides. Jean steps out momentarily so you can sit beside Eren. Once Jean sits back down he puts his arm around you.

“Hey let me know if you want to hang out with me instead of that blockhead tonight”, Jean says with a smirk.

You playfully push Jean off of you, “Shut up you pig.”

You both laugh and you ask the group, “Where’s Armin?”

Connie responds casually, “He wanted to skip tonight since we would all be coupled up.”

You try to hide your surprise, “Oh, right.”

You feel butterflies when you think of you and Eren being coupled up. This is ridiculous, you haven’t even spoken to him. You take a big swig of your drink and then turn to him.

“Did you miss me?”, You say with a smile.

He leans down to be eye level with you, “More than you know.”

Your heart starts racing. He has his hair up in a messy bun, a few pieces are down and framing his face. You forgot how piercing his green eyes were. You’re practically drooling over him.

You clear your throat, “Uh, so how was class while I was gone?”

Eren fills you in on what you missed from the last week. You begin to feel a lot more relaxed with him. You and Eren are clearly flirting and you are definitely enjoying it.

“Hey I really like your hair. It’s cute when it’s in a bun like that”, You say with a smile.

Eren looks mischievous, “Well I really like the top you’re wearing. You look sexy, Y/n.”

You can’t help but blush, “Thank you. I was really nervous about wearing it, but I’m glad you like it.” The two of you begin to scoot closer, Eren rests his hand on your thigh.

Sasha interrupts, “Uh, Y/n. Isn’t that Levi over there?”

Your heart stops and you whip your head to where she’s looking.

“Oh for fucks sake”, You say.

Wait. Who the hell is that? Levi has his arm resting on the chair beside him, sitting in the chair is that same red head he was flirting with last time. He pulls her close and whispers something in her ear. She’s blushing so you can only assume he’s said something sexual. Your blood begins to boil and you chug the rest of your drink. The bar on this floor was right behind their table.

“I’m going to go get another drink and see why the fuck he’s stalking me on his night off”, You say clearly annoyed.

Eren asks, “Do you want me to come with you?”

You smile, “No it’s okay. This shouldn’t take too long.”

Jean lets you out of the booth and you are feeling pretty buzzed at this point. You decide to sneak past their table and get some more liquid courage first. You walk up to the bar and take a shot of vodka before asking for another mixed drink. You discreetly check your phone camera and make sure your hair and makeup look perfect.

Levi and this mystery girl are sitting on the same side of the table. You walk with confidence and grab the empty chair across from Levi and sit down. The moment you do, both of them look at you.

“Why the fuck are you here?”, You ask Levi.

He smirks, “I can’t have a little fun on my night off?”

You roll your eyes, “Did you follow me?”

He pretends to act confused, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. This is a very popular club in the city.”

“Cut the bullshit, I know you followed me”, You say bluntly.

The girl interrupts your heated conversation, “I’m sorry, but who are you?”

You look at her, she actually seems sweet and looks genuinely confused by the situation.

You sigh, “I’m sorry, I should’ve introduced myself. I’m Y/n, Levi is my bodyguard and is supposed to have the night off. So imagine my surprise when I see that he followed me here.”

She looks surprised, “Oh I had no idea.” She looks at Levi, “Is that true? Did you really follow her?”

Levi looks annoyed, “Of course not, Petra. I frequent this club, it’s just a coincidence.”

You knew that was a lie. You stand and put your hands on the table and lean forward, now you’re closer to Levi. You’re feeling ballsy having your cleavage right in front of his face.

“I guess we’ll find out the truth once I leave this place”, You say with confidence.

Levi looks caught off guard with you being so close, “W-Well aren’t you just going home? That’s where your father thinks you are anyway.”

You look at him and giggle, “See you later, Levi.” You look at Petra, “It was nice meeting you.” You push off the table and walk away, unable to wipe off the smirk on your face. You know that you’re driving Levi crazy and you have to admit, you fucking love it.

Once you get back to the table it’s only Eren. He points to the dance floor, and you spot the rest of your friends dancing. You motion for Eren to follow you and you both go over to where your friends are. You chug the rest of your drink and now you know that you’re drunk. A smile appears on your face.

Sasha shouts, “Oh no!! Drunk Y/n has arrived! If you don’t want grinded on you better run now!”

You’re known for becoming very touchy with everyone when you’re drunk. Your friend group is laughing, and you spot your first victim. You walk to Mikasa and you grab her hand. You dip in front of her and start shaking your ass on her. You and Mikasa laugh while you dance together. A few minutes later you walk over to Jean.

He smirks, “You sure you can handle this?”

You roll your eyes and start dancing with Jean. You look to see Sasha and Connie making out instead of dancing. Gross. Then you see Mikasa and Eren dancing together, it’s only friendly of course but you can’t help but think they look good together.

Jean whines, “I don’t like the way Mikasa is looking at Eren.”

You complain, “Ugh you’re such a buzzkill. I’m trying to dance.”

Jean surprises you and grabs your hips and pulls you back to him. You both spend the next few minutes dancing and grinding on each other. You step on Jean’s foot by accident and you start laughing when he grabs it in pain.

“Jean! I’m sorry!”, You shout in between laughing.

You feel someone hold your hand. You turn to see Eren smiling at you.

“My turn yet?”, Eren asks.

You smile, “I was saving you for last.”

You aren’t sure if it’s the alcohol or the adrenaline, but you’re feeling extremely ballsy. You grab the collar of Eren’s shirt and bring him in for a kiss. You two are kissing in between dancing. Your body is starting to feel like it’s on fire. You need more.

Eren leans to your ear, “Wanna go back to my place?”

You shake your head yes, “Let me tell everyone else.”

You grab your friends, “Eren and I are leaving! Have fun, but not too much fun.” You wink and everyone laughs.

Eren grabs your hand and you walk to the stairs. You look back and see Levi with your friends, he looks frantic. They point to where you are across the room, he looks at you and starts walking quickly to where you are.

You yell to Eren, “Hurry we have to run! Levi is coming!”

Eren turns and sees Levi pushing through the crowd. You both start running down the stairs. Thank god for Eren or else you would’ve fallen down the stairs. You weren’t drunk anymore because of the dancing earlier, but you were definitely still buzzed.

Eren does a good job at finding openings through the hoards of people. You look back and see Levi barreling down the stairs.

“Go go go! He’s catching up!”, You shout.

You and Eren finally make it to the door and once you’re outside you cross the street. Eren jumps on the back of a motorcycle and turns it on. You stop right beside it, you’re surprised that this is his ride.

“Are you sure you’re okay to drive this?”, You ask.

He looks at you, “I had one beer when we first got here. I’m totally sober.”

You both hear the front entrance door slam open. You see Levi looking around and he spots you.

You squeal, “Fuck!” You jump on the back of Eren’s bike, “Hurry!”

Eren revs his engine and he pulls out of the parking spot. You look to your side and you see Levi running across the street. But it’s too late. You stick your tongue out and give Levi the middle finger. His reaction shocks you, Levi laughs.
