Debo confesar que amo la moda femenina del siglo XVIII, especialmente la robe à la française, también conocido como robe à paniers (vestido con tontillo).
El motivo de me gusto es lo elaborado del diseño, con los pliegues a la Watteau, los volantes e cintas, mas los numerosos bordados y encajes que podían llevar. Es verdaderamente una obra de arte aunque debió ser incomodo de llevar puesto por algo las modas imperio francés o regencia inglesa para los aficionados a la historia/ u para los amantes de la literatura piensen en la ropa de las novelas de Jane Austen, eran mucho mas sencilla pero sin perder su elegancia.
I must confess that I love 18th century women's fashion, especially the robe à la française, also known as robe à paniers (dressed in a tontillo). The reason I liked is the elaborate design, with the pleats à la Watteau, the ruffles and ribbons, plus the numerous embroidery and lace that they could wear. It is truly a work of art although it must have been uncomfortable to wear the French Empire or English Regency fashions for history fans / or for literature lovers think of the clothes of the Jane Austen novels, they were much more simple but without losing its elegance.

This is a ruffle robe or robe battante, this dress was supposedly invented by Madame de Montespan, one of Louis XIV's favorite lovers also known as the sun king, to hide her pregnancies.
This dress would be modified, until it became the robe à la fraicase. I like it very much because it gives an "innocent" image to its wearer
Adoro la moda regencia inglesa/imperio francés, le da un aire etéreo y elegante a su usuaria, gracias a su sencillez. Este vestido nació como una especie de espejo inverso de las modas mas extravagantes antes de la revolucion francesa.
Se supone que se basa en las ropas grecorromanas, pero a mi me recuerdan mas a las del renacimiento italiano.

I adore English regency / French empire fashion, it gives an ethereal and elegant air to its user, thanks to its simplicity. This dress was born as a kind of reverse mirror of the most extravagant fashions before the French revolution.
It is supposed to be based on Greco-Roman clothes, but they remind me more of the Italian Renaissance.

El chemise de la reine o vestido de muselina, mas conocido por ser usado por la reina María Antonieta, fue un vestido bastante controvertido por su parecido con la ropa interior de la época, aun así muchas mujeres lo vistieron y fueron retratadas con el.
Me gusta este traje, es muy bonito y a la vez tierno, sin dudan me lo pondría pasando por alto su indecencia.

I like this suit, it is very beautiful and at the same time cute, without a doubt I would wear it ignoring its indecency.

The fullest merger of old and new is represented in this dress. The form of the surrounding robe is open, and even the neckline could seem to be decades earlier. But the textile design has been subdued, and the lighter taffeta robe is paired with a white petticoat for an effect that resembles neoclassicism emerging from the chrysalis of the ancien régime.

18th Century Women’s Fashion
Women’s Clothing in the 18th Century is often renown for its Extravagance, for good reason. Unlike in prior Centuries, the Fashion Standards for Women became intensely ornamented, hence why it is one of my favorite Eras.
This Post goes through the 1750s-1790s, so it is quite long, but women’s Clothing is always more varied than the Men’s it seems.
