I figured out how to animate fabric! I started by waving around and observing some scraps of fabric ( while no one else was around ) Then i went on to drawing guide lines and squigglies(like the tracks of a roller coaster) to get the flapping effect. Used PAP4, Movie Maker, and an online converter.
The doctor is in the house :D

Phantom Limb is now available as a stand alone on vimeo! I’ve also finally got around to writing up a making of post, right here.
Big props to everybody who helped make this bad boy. And also to all my friends at Late Night Work Club!

Eran Hilleli Smooth shapes resolving to friendly forms, plays of light revealing characters that seem sprite-like, spectral and almost storybook ethereal—animation entrancing, character design engaging, Eran Hilleli’s gifs are comfortingly mesmerizing, leaving one in wonder.
Nina Paley’s This Land is Mine A lushly animated, affecting, and ultimately terribly sad look at human waste in the name of divine mandate, Nina Paley’s condensed history of the Holy Land may streamline things, but in doing so, only cuts more directly to the melancholy, hypocritical, bloody heart of our martial nature.
chromaticwatch:
Antfood, Buck, String Theory, and Good Books: Metamorphosis The best commercial I’ve seen in months, with clean narrative and mellifluously slick imagery; high-minded and lowbrow and rollicking like a rum diary. Plus, it’s persuasive too—Antfood, Buck, String Theory, and Good Books have something brilliant here.

Saturnist Adventures – an animated short film on the subject of depression and identity.
The production process for this film was deliberately very different from my earlier works. I wanted to tell a fragmented and dreamlike story, so most scenes were made with little to no planning and then stitched together as best I could. No script, no storyboard, just a very clear idea about the themes/mood I was aiming for.
This wasn’t an easy film to make. While I’m still not sure how I feel about the final result, I’m ultimately glad for the experience.
