okay, i’m loving the theories I’m seeing, so i want to build on them:

Buck on an infiltration mission yes ✅ the firefighter puppet is a spycam yes ✅

Buck intentionally drops the “boyfriend” bomb trying to get Gerrard to say some out of pocket shit

But Gerrard already knows. “Oh right,” he grumbles as he lines up his drive, “Kinard, right? Well, let me tell you all about your boyfriend.”

And then tells Buck about how Tommy used to be, in ways that Chim and Hen always step around and Tommy alludes to, but none of them have ever said the kind of hazing rituals that Tommy didn’t just allow but participated in, the cruel things he’s done and said

This leaves Buck totally off-center and he gets no good intel and he goes home that night to Tommy and is like, is what he said true? It’s not real, right?

And Tommy sucks in a big breath and is like, no, he got it in one.

And Buck is horrified and conflicted and so, so, so sad. Tommy asks Buck if he wants Tommy to leave. Buck says, “Yeah, that might be for the best,” and Tommy does

They do work it out. Hen or Chimney are maybe like, hey, we forgave him a long time ago. Because he put in the work. We get more Tommy backstory. About what he’s done and how he’s changed.

Buck and Tommy still have to talk it out. Tommy is like, I’m sorry if you thought i was being dishonest with you, I’m sorry if you think i was hiding it, and maybe I was. Like I said, my history with the 118 is complicated, and I didn’t like who I was back then. I’m trying to become someone I like now.

And Buck, who likes him so much now tells him so, and they have one of those nights where they stay up til sunrise exposing themselves raw, showing each other their ugly bits, the things they’re ashamed of

“Do you think you could love me anyway?” Tommy asks in a moment of frightening vulnerability

Buck’s eyes are red and wet from crying but he nods, chin tucked, says, “Yeah, I think I could.”

eddie finding comfort in church and faith is seeming more and more real. i don’t think he’ll become a devout catholic by any means, but i do think he’ll find some healing through faith or people of faith — especially if you consider bobby giving him the bible last season and him praying by bobby’s bed side.

I have a solid theory about the second part of the 9-1-1 season 8 opening disaster. We already know about beenado, but Tim Minear referred to a second disaster taking up the bulk of episodes 2 & 3, and shared that it's based on another classic 1970's disaster flick.

We know Athena is doing something involving going on an airplane (transporting a prisoner though I don't know if that was confirmed). Enter the classic b movie, Airport 1975.

Now, what happens in this movie you ask? After the pilot becomes incapacitated, a woman with no flying experience (*cough* Athena *cough*) is forced to try and land it. BUT THEN.

A helicopter pilot (who happens to be the woman's boyfriend in the film) DANGLES DOWN ON A ROPE FROM A MOVING HELICOPTER AND CLIMBS IN THE SIDE OF THE PLANE TO LAND IT SAFELY.

Guys. This has to be it. Action hero Tommy swooping in to take over in the cockpit? It's so ridiculous it has to happen.

Okay real talk do you think Buck’s guilt over Gerrard could make him feel like he needs to make it up to him, therefore he goes on outings with him etc. and when Tommy finds out he’s like oh… oh no. and they end up arguing because Tommy doesn’t think Buck owes Gerrard a thing (even though he does understand Buck’s guilt) and recognizes that Gerrard is actually playing him like a fiddle, but Buck refuses to believe it and thinks he could possibly change the man for the better.

Vaguely inspired by another post I saw but, what if we get the return of Felisa Valdez through Hotshots. I think we're all in agreement that she and Eddie had way more chemistry than Eddie and Marisol. Now Eddie's in no place for a relationship/possibly on the edge of a gay crisis, but when they inevitably cross paths again she takes one look at his moustache and is like 'you helped me through a major crisis, now its my turn' and thus Eddie-Felisa bestieism is born.
