Analyzing The Abilities of Characters From The Boys Pt. IV

From the fastest man alive to one of Americaâs most wanted, A-Train/Reggie has known nothing but stress and urgency his entire life. Despite his relatively laid back demeanor he leads with most of the time, under the surface of his douchey jock persona is a vulnerable and terrified individual. Him being a speedster seems to be the result of the Compound V (acting as a form of instant evolution for most patients) giving him the ability to escape gunfire by outrunning the bullets when he was younger. This story foreshadows his future, with the issues heâs constantly outrunning increasing in severity until the shift from internal struggles of addiction and balancing his public persona with his personal love of Popclaw, to external survival issues like Homelander and the rest of Vought.
His redemption arc plays itself out to juxtapose The Deep. While both characters harmed Hughie/Annie deeply in the first episode alone, A-Train goes on to feel remorse and even tries to make up for it. He risks his life by being the leak in order to make amends for everything heâs done. The fact that he saw Ashley as someone worth saving meant something remarkably significant to me about how their characters both feel trapped at Vought despite the tremendous power they both wield. Ashleyâs quite literally the CEO of one of the most influential corporations on the planet, and yet she behaves like a cockroach, even at times being reduced to crawling on the floor to appease Homelander when attempting to leave the room. A-Train is the fastest man alive, and yet he feels powerless to put an end to Voughtâs tyranny up until the end of S4. When he finally strikes The Deep and makes it evident that they are two opposite sides of what once was the same coin, he revealed to the audience that regardless of having Blue Hawkâs heart beating in his chest, his heartâs still in the right place. Ultimately, itâs this desperation to right his wrongs and âescapeâ his still potentially deadly fate that make me view his speed as being a fitting ability for his character to inherit.

So far my planned / intended The Boys fics for my Omegaverse canon are:
- Lore doc explaining in depth how Omegaverse works with Compound V and canon Dynamic assignments (PLEASE lmk which folks you want to know about, maybe I'll do a master post here too for funsies with all my thoughts)
- Transatlantic (Alpha!Translucent x Omega!The Deep) through preS1 - S2 May do an optional fic where Translucent dies to weave it in with the Deep-Train fic, but there will be a version where he lives. Stay tuned to see how I finagle that. ;D
- Deep-Train through S4 (Alpha!A-Train x Omega!The Deep) (likely to take place in the canon where Translucent still dies in S1.)
- Maeve + Starlight + Hughie + Butcher (Alpha!Maeve + Alpha!Starlight + Beta!Hughie + Alpha!Butcher) (hear me OUT) (likely a series of oneshots with no super defined canon, we'll see)
Open to questions / suggestions / requests! These will slowly make their way to AO3 as I write them, getting back into the fanfic saddle is gonna take some time.
Got The Boys Omegaverse canon doc up as well! Lots of characters listed aren't fully filled out yet but I've got a good baseline going for fics. Now I finally get to start drafting. Iâm such a sucker for one-sided rivals to lovers. When Character A has overwhelming contempt or jealously towards Character B until over time they get to know each other better and Character A has a better understanding of what Character B is really like so the negative feelings are gone but oops! the obsessive fixation is still there and they canât pretend itâs hatred anymore.

I read and write sooooo much that it is hard to shock me. Harder still to surprise me with plot. The Boys has done both lol. It is such a wild, insane ride!! So glad I decided to watch it. ***Definitely not for anyone easily triggered***
The moment his tongue slid across your folds, shivers ran down your spine, leaving you utterly pliant and completely at his mercy. His earlier hesitation was gone, replaced by a primal hunger as he eagerly explored every inch of your glistening slit.
