Henry looked at his family in the living room, and finally spoke the thought that had been on his mind for quite some time.

“Perhaps we should start child-proofing the house?” Mabel put the purse she was sequinning down on her stomach (her stomach already big enough to use as a table.)

“Do we have to right now? I mean, it’s going to be like, at least a year before we even have to worry about that!” 

Stan nodded, then swore and got up to fix the TV; the TV being one of seven things plugged into a socket dated from 1965 meant for at most two things. 

Dipper popped in, covered in blood which then immediately puddled around him. “Childproofing? With me around? That’s like, a box of twinkies level deal.”

Henry folded his arms. “There’s some twinkies in the pantry; why don’t I go get them?” “But I mean, like, the triplets aren’t going to be here for a while, so what’s the rush?”

Henry decided to let it go.

The problem with Henry, Dipper thought as he frantically dulled a fingernail before sticking it into Hank’s mouth to fish out a sequin, was that he never said, “I told you so.”

He didn’t even act smug or make snide remark- oh god Acacia was going for the plug with a knitting needle.

Nope he did not say a word or even act differently; Dipper could see it in his aura and how did Willow get a hold of one of Stan’s cigar butts? He threw those in the outside trash!

No, Henry didn’t say anything like that all, and the lack of saying anything stung far far worse.

(for a human, Henry played a remarkably good long game.)

I said it once and I'll say it again

Humans are the literal definition of persistence

Imagine a group of unatural looking creatures start hunting you, you run and you think your safe, but they don't stop, they always are just walking along, while you start to get tired, and eventually are to tired to continue running, all while the stange creatures are ever behind you, and no matter how fast you run, will always find you.

I just described how humans hunted before we started creating our own weapons

lore question for my fic: do people in the future know that mabel was the first mizar? does alcor volunteer that information or keep it close?

Possibly not, though you could have theorists floating the idea depending on what drifts through historical record to the point in the future you're wondering about.

In more detail: Alcor is unlikely to widely share that information with people not already close to him due to both its personal emotional impact and its potential to reveal his true name and original identity as Dipper Pines (it would be a major leap in logic to go from "demon who may or may not predate the Transcendence" to "preteen boy who died around the time of the Transcendence" to be fair, but it's still a connection point and a powerful demon can never be too careful with their true name).

As for historical record, it's entirely possible for people to become unclear as to whether Alcor (and therefore, perhaps, Mizar?) might have predated the Transcendence, especially the further into the future we go from that point. In addition, this mod at least doesn't explicitly recall any lore suggesting that Mabel Pines and Mizar the Gleeful were openly and widely known to be the same person, but if I'm wrong on that point anyone who's read something to the contrary can chime in via the notes here.
