Alice X Ellie - Tumblr Posts
It had been three month’s since Alice had started hanging around the diner and it sure as shit wasn’t for the food or people that frequented it, no it was the cute little waitress Ellie that worked the graveyard shift that kept her coming back for more. Though they hardly spoke sans polite chitchat and customer service bullshit, Alice was addicted and had to visit at least 2 to 3 times a week, sometimes she’d pass by and peek through the windows just to catch a glimpse of the girl.
That night started off like every other before it, Alice took a seat in her preferred booth, nodded at Ellie in greeting and looked over the menu even though she knew she would order the same thing she had every night.
Wondering what was taking the girl so long to take her order, Alice’s eyes drifted over to the counter catching Ellie’s before wandering down to where a guy had his hands on her. She took note that their conversation didn’t seem to be going the way he wanted and the girl was definitely uncomfortable before she stood and made her way over to them.
She leaned sideways against the counter next to the guy and put her hand over his. “I’m going to say this as nicely as i can” She smirked and harshly yanked his hand back at an awkward angle. “Get your fucking hands off her” She let him go and grabbed his hair, pushing his face down into the counter and holding him there as she looked up at Ellie. “You okay?” Her tone softer.

Ellie had worked at Donna’s Diner for nearly a year now. Working mostly the graveyard shifts she didn’t have many regulars, except her. Alice, the fiery woman that seemed to visit at least three times a week. She was quiet but she was always kind to El, even tipping generously. It had been three months since Alice began to visit, ordering the same meal every time, and every time the brunette found herself growing more and more excited to see her. Tonight wasn’t any different, it was your typical Wednesday. At least it was, up until Ellie’s ex showed up, the guy never been good to her and now was no exception. He came in to try and manipulate her back into the relationship but she knew better. He’d burned her too many times now for her to even think about going back. “I don’t want to go with you, Ronnie. First of all I’m at work, secondly? Do you not remember why I left you? I still have the scars to show for it.” The day she had left didn’t end well for her, the drug addict went berserk. They were in his car and he’d started freaking out, because she said she didn’t wanna se him anymore, and ultimately the he ran a light and the car was totaled. The pair barely made it out and she had no intentions of going back anytime soon. She made eye contact with Alice as Ronnie seemed to reach over the counter to grab Ellie’s hand. Maybe she’d call the cops, though she seems the type to handle it herself.

Ellie knew that nothing good would come from Ronnie showing up at her job. Nothing good ever came from him. So as he grabbed her hand, the tears had begun to sting her eyes, but they didn’t have a chance to spill because soon Alice had him pinned to the counter. As soon as his hands were no longer near her the girl let out a breath of relief. If Alice wasn’t here she would be in his passenger seat as he would’ve given her no choice.
The brunette nodded at the question, eyes moving between Alice and her ex. “I don’t want to see you here again, Ronnie. If you come back I will call the cops.” Her voice was tired and soft, hoping then that he’d finally get the picture. Of course he probably wouldn’t, if he was anything he was persistent.
The man was clearly in pain as he decided to answer the girl, “Yeah, Yeah…whatever you want.” And so at that, Ellie looked back to her favorite customer, “Let him go, he won’t be back.” With a gentle hand in her shoulder to show she was okay, the girl gave Alice a smile.

El wasn’t sure what she did to deserve Alice’s protection but she was happy that she had it. Her heart was racing as she watched the scene unfold before her. As she heard the threats being made to her ex she couldn’t help but realize that it’s the first time she’s felt safe since the end of it. Her heart hurt, but it was the closure she needed. She needed to have someone step between them in the way that Alice did.
As she was watched her ex leave the diner her tears finally began to fall. It didn’t seem like any time had passed since he walked in the door but it was damn near the end of her shift already. “Thank you, Alice. Never would’ve gotten him out of here if it weren’t for you.” Her voice was soft as she looked around, “Your visit is on me tonight. Anything you want, it’s yours.”

Ellie smiled as her tears were wiped away, eyes scanning Alice. How could she be so kind without any questions? “I think I can manage that. Though in the meantime, you want your usual?” She was still shaken up by what happened, and she very clearly still had questions for Alice. But now wasn’t the time. She would take the assist and happily move on from the situation at hand.

Soon Ellie’s shift had ended and she found herself locking up with Alice standing beside her. It definitely put her at ease to have the other there. Mostly because she was sure if not, Ronnie would be lurking in the shadows. “So you haven’t been coming for our delicious food?” She spoke up as they moved away from the door. The young girl had he bag thrown over her shoulder and a hoodie in her arms. The simple uniform she was wearing didn’t do much to cover her up but she felt safe with Alice, so she didn’t feel the urge to slip the fabric over her head.

El laughed a little bit as Alice subtly complimented her. It was nice to not have to worry about anything or anyone when she was around. The other seemed keen on protecting her now, which she had been very grateful for. “Well good to know I haven’t been letting the late nights get to me.”
The young waitress nodded at her question, “Yeah. It’s not too bad though.” She noticed that Alice seemed a little preoccupied with looking around for something or someone, so she hesitantly slipped her hand into hers. “You’re gonna miss my street if you keep that up.” Was the only thing she said as she gently pulled the girl along to her apartment.

A small gasp left her lips as she was pulled away from the walkway and into the wall. Alice caged her in, hand moving up to tuck some of the girls fallen ponytail back behind her ear. It caused that same blush to creep up from her neck to the tips of her ears. “Do you want to come in for a, for a drink?” She hesitated some but only because she was worried she was seeing something that Alice wasn’t.

Ellie shivered as she felt the warmth from Alice’s fingers on her collarbone, breath hitching in her throat as she leaned in. Her eyes were bouncing between Alice’s lips and her eyes as she spoke, unsure of how she should feel about the words. “You’re good enough for me.” She murmured before closing the distance between them, eyes slowly closing as her hands wrapped around the taller woman’s shoulders.

It was perfect. The way Alice seemed to know exactly what Ellie liked as she deepened the kiss shocked the younger girl. A small whine left her lips as she felt the hand around her neck. Alice was perfect, this kiss was perfect. The brunette pulled away slowly, simply because she deemed it time to go inside. “Let’s take it inside, yeah?” A shy smile adorning her lips as she spoke.
Ellie slipped out of Alice’s hood and moved to unlock her door for the two of them. She turned back to the woman, reach for her hand to drag her inside the apartment. She hadn’t had anyone over since Ronnie, so she was definitely nervous. After closing the door behind her, she stood to the side nervously. “Did you want something to drink?” Their actions outside had nearly made her forget the whole point of her coming inside.

The apartment screamed Ellie if you knew the girl. It was very obvious that she enjoyed the softer things in life. The color scheme was very light with notes of pinks of all shades. Pictures on the walls with her friends, some of them from back home, sentimental memories that she’d hold onto forever.
Ellie’s eyes met Alice’s, her own filled with adoration. Her eyes scanned the kitchen, trying to remember what exactly she does have put up in here. “What are you looking for? I’ve got a ton of wine, but you seem like you’d want something stronger.” She looked back at the girl with a mischievous grin.

Ellie laughed softly as she was pulled closer to Alice, her arms easily wrapping around her shoulders. It was strange how easily they’d been able to fall into the same rhythm, but El was happy with it. Her eyes widened a little bit at Alice’s words but she quickly pulled herself together. “I’d say we have plenty of time for that.” Her voice was soft as she spoke but shortly after her lips were on Alice’s and the kiss was needy, rushed even.

“You’re jealous.” (muses of your choice)
@worstbehaviourmuses
Ellie shrugged, hoping her true feelings weren’t obvious to the woman standing in front of her. Her eyes scanned Alice’s face as they stood in silence. “I’m not allowed to be? That girl was flirting with you and you happily went along with it.” Technically they hadn’t spoken on the boundaries they’d like for each other, no labels have been decided. That meant that technically Alice was free to do whatever she pleased.
God Alice could be so infuriating sometimes. Ellie rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms over her chest, hoping her girlfriend could see that she wasn’t a fan of it either way. Boundaries were good but it seemed they’re still lacking in that department.
“I shouldn’t have to fight someone for my girl. You should just make it clear that you’re taken.” The attitude was ever present as she leaned back against her kitchen counter.

Ellie’s eyes widened at Alice’s sudden change in attitude, her heart racing as she listened to what she was saying. “You’re in my bed every night. Just assumed that meant you were my girl.” Her tone was soft, not nearly as argumentative as she had been just a few minutes ago. Her eyes avoided Alice’s, knowing she’d fold as soon as she sees her face.

The younger girl nodded, “Yeah you were a dick.” She mumbled but quickly nodded at Alice’s words. That’s all she needed to hear. Yes it was petty, and probably a little stupid of her to catch an attitude about that but she couldn’t help it. She sat and watched her ex flirting with girls in front of her with no care, and she’s since learned to confront these things. Alice brought that side of her out whether she realized it or not.
“Thank you. That’s all I needed to hear.”

Ellie smiled softly as the words slipped from Alice’s lips, pulling her back as soon as she let her go. It was crazy to think that she would be willing to try the whole relationship thing, because from the beginning she’d been adamant about it. But El would never complain.
“Can’t have you runnin’ wild out there.” Her eyes moved from Alice’s own to her lips, silently asking for the one thing she knows will solve all of her problems.

Ellie nearly whined as her girlfriend kissed her nose, even more so when she moved to her cheek. “I always want to kiss you.” She admitted before Alice’s lips were on hers. It was always the one thing that could make her forget why she was mad or even annoyed at the woman. Her lips moved in time with Alice’s, a soft hum of approval vibrating between the two. “Yeah well I can whip you into shape, don’t worry.”

Ellie was shocked to hear Alice’s words, “Well I’m glad to be the one to take that title.” She whispered, pulling her girl impossibly close. Their lips clashed together in a searing kiss, the feeling like no other Ellie had had before. It was full of love and passion, probably even more jealousy from the thought of another kissing the same lips. Whatever it was, it had Ellie willing to bend to Ali’s every want or need.

❛ do you wish i was different? ❜ (muses of your choosing)

After leaving home to be with Alice, arguing seemed to become their norm. Ellie was stubborn and would never back down, Alice the same. This time was no different. It was the same argument as always, except this one didn’t seem to have an ending.
As the words slipped between Alice’s lips, Ellie froze. Did she wish her girlfriend was different? God no…right? “Alice, I’m not with you to change you.”
