As a fellow ace I completely agree, like, asexuality is a spectrum. There's sooo many goddamn ways to be ace besides just the far end of the spectrum, and I love seeing other people's interpretations of Jon's asexuality (and in my experience, a lott of the other interpretations are written *by other ace people*, like let us have this character that we can project our varying aceness on to lol)
confession that could probably get me executed by the tma fandom:
as someone on the asexual spectrum (please keep this part in mind), i enjoy seeing all the different interpretations of jon's asexuality, instead of acting like he can only be asexual in one specific way like a lot of this fandom does.

so many people take being asexual and assume that it means you're completely on the far end of the spectrum and feel no sexual attraction
and it's just so much more complex than that for a lot of people
there are definitely people that feel that way
that are completely asexual
but there's also a lot of people who aren't
interpeting jon's asexuality enables more asexual people to see themselves in the character
