Hey! Not sure how many times I can request, so I’ll just make my appearance as small as I can (no promises though 😉)

B u t.

I was able to think of something else, because I was inspired by the story of Pallas and Athena (she was a daughter of Triton and friends with Athena before accidentally getting killed by her during a competition). So, how does a relationship between a child of Triton (a.k.a the reader) and Annabeth sound?

Maybe things were rocky at first, since Annabeth was a hard-to-get gal, but the more the reader protected her and went out of their way to use every drop of their power JUST for her the more Annabeth started to love them. Does that sound good?

(P.S. I don’t know why, but I can see the reader accidentally splashing Annabeth with water at one point when they tried to woo her, which ended up with her reeking of salt water for days. Also, I think you did a good job with Hecate!reader! Oh, and sorry for how long this is.)

I REALLY like this one because we all know how Annabeth is with stories of the gods and heros

She’s studied and remembers all of the ancient stories of Greek mythology, so it only made sense for her to avoid you after finding out your father was Triton

So while both of you know the story of Pallas and Athena, you don’t think much of it while Annabeth fully believes that history can and will repeat itself

Which is why she avoids reader to the MAX when they first meet

As much as she gravitated towards your easygoing and friendly personality, Annabeth feared that your guys’ friendship would lead to your demise one way or another

You wanting to prove her wrong on her theory, made it a point to try and be her friend, no matter what😍😍

Small talks turn into full conversations, with you mostly speaking while Annabeth tries not to give in to the temptation of continuing the interesting subjects you bring up

Imagine you standing up for her whenever Clarrise and her siblings start talking smack about her :0

“Back off Clarrise, why don’t you actually do something productive for once instead of obsessing over Annabeth.”

Cue some insults thrown your way while said girl walks away

“I had that covered Y/N, I didn’t need your help. But… thanks, anyway.”

SHES SO FLUSTERED AS SHE WALKS AWAY WHILE YOU CHUCKLE AHH

Your smile when you to bump into the girl around camp slowly breaks her resolve too

You always manage to see how her eyes light up whenever you’re around which makes your heart FLUTTER UGH

Lingering eyes on each other definitely makes Annabeth rethink her original plan on keeping her distance from you

Ok maybe it’s just me but I can see the reader being kind of a show off BUT IN A GOOD WAY

Like you’re always trying to get Annabeth’s attention one way or another, meaning that some of those ways aren’t the smartest ones

Like one time you wanted to put up a water show for the girl which ended up with her and anyone in a 100 foot vicinity to be soaked in sea water after a miscalculation on how much water you needed to complete your show💀💀

She pretended to be upset with how you made her and countless other campers smell like salt water but would bust out laughing whenever she saw you around camp for the entirety of the week

Secretly loved it though because the water smelt similar to you

Annabeth would slowly forget about Pallas and her mothers story especially after seeing you risk your life countless times for her during battles and secret attacks near the camp

Like that one time you forced her to stay within the camp grounds once you saw how she was knocked down by an angry hellhound

She can still remember being held back by some of her siblings as she watched you get ganged up by more hellhounds, watching from the side as your chest heaved in exhaustion

Remembering how she rushed to your side, gently holding your face as fear coursed through her body, watching as you took shallow breathes

It was then that she knew she grew to care about you too much to just stand by while you protected her from the monsters of the world

Her eyes still trace over the scars left behind from that battle, guilt planting itself in her heart whenever you catch her eye when she’s caught staring at you

Definitely gets frustrated at you when you don’t understand why she was so upset when you took her place in the battlefield

She cares for you too much and she would let out her confession to you in the moment

Then you would confess to her as well and basically explain why you protected her the way you did and everything would easily fall into place

Now she isn’t afraid to hold long conversations with you, but she does tend to hide her face in your shoulder when her siblings tease her about her new partner

You would definitely join in on their teasing too💀

Annabeth enjoys taking long walks beside the shore with you

Sometimes you even take her below into the cool abyss and just take her to your favorite spots in the ocean

She also enjoys being able to hug you whenever, loving how the fresh scent of the sea tends to linger on your skin URGHHH😭💔💔💔💔

She doesn’t care about how you don’t think your actions through, she’s just supporting you all the way no matter how weird and silly they are

Like trying to balance the hilt of a sword on your forehead (homegirl was literally biting her nails in fear that the sword would fall over and stab you💀)

BUT…

Do beware, everything may seem perfect in the moment but Annabeth was correct about one thing

History does repeat itself in the end

Being the clingiest one out of the three of you, its really hard to unstick yourself to the other two

No matter what, reader is always seen with AT LEAST Percy or Annabeth

You feel at your best when your with both of them, so it’s not uncommon for other campers to see you hanging out with either Percy or Annabeth, or even both!

You love spending your day with them, spending as much time with them before dinner by accompanying them to their activities or chores

Since you’re the most open about your affections, you’re always somehow touching them

Whether it be a lingering hand on their back or an arm wrapped around their waist, you’re always clinging onto any part of them

Hand holding is a MUST for you

Annabeth takes your right while Percy takes your left😩

The one who would let you fully indulge in your clingy antics is Percy because,,

I headcanon Percy as super clingy and affectionate too💀💀

He would let you latch on to him whenever you want bro, he’s all yours

He loves when you just randomly jump on him and hug the living life out of him

Now, with two extremely affectionate people, Annabeth has to be the one to balance y’all out

As much as she loves being bombarded with your love attacks, she’s more calmer with her advances with you

So while your energy is bought all the way up with Percy, you’re able to just calm down and settle next to Annabeth when around her

Percy is more high energy and Annabeth is more soothing

She loves the more quieter moments between you two since she thinks they’re more intimate

Like during the campfire while Percy is somewhere in the dark night, you’d rest your head on her shoulder

She’d gently lay her own on top of yours and just

Sit there

She relishes in the moment you share, allowing you to take her hand and hold it, looking down at the serene look on your face while smiling

In private, you’re 100% more clingy

If you’re bunking in Percy’s cabin, you’ll cling onto your boyfriend and girlfriend, loving the way you’re sandwiched between them despite the bed offering so much space

You’d play with both of their hands while you slowly fall asleep, Annabeth’s warm and Percy’s cool hand comforting you as you close your hands

Now about what you said about reader not being affectionate with others, it would be more about how comfortable you’ve grown with Percy and Annabeth

Yeah you’ll hug your sibling every now and then, but for the most part, you’re just not as close to anyone to be as affectionate as you are with your partners

And people find that fine tbh, whatever your more comfortable with is better🔥🔥

Spending so much time with Annabeth and Percy have made you all grow closer

Sure there have been some problems sprinkled in here and there, buts nothing that a good talking can’t fix

Ok so i did a bit of reading on these gods and the POTENTIAL I SAW FOR THIS ASK WAS SO AAAAHH

I feel like this relationship would be an enemies to lovers kinda thing

OK SO

Imagine reader is the kid of Phobos cuz why not

Phobos is the god of fear, panic, all that good stuff, so obviously those traits would be passed down to his children

And a special power of Phobos is allowing those he makes eye contact with see their deepest fears,, lets say that that’s an ability that children of Phobos can do to an extent!!

So the first time you and Annabeth meet, it is NOT on good terms💀

Sent out by your father, Phobos, to mess up some quest Percy was sent on, an order from Ares himself, there's a face-off between you and Annabeth

Like, Annabeth is so ready to take you down the second you show up to disrupt their quest but she just can't seem to shake off the shivers and chills going down her body once you appear

And you already know how Percy cares for his friends so targeting someone whose close to him (Annabeth) was an open option

Cold sweat rolls down Annabeth's face at point, her heart slowly speeding up as you look toward her

The second you make eye contact with her BOOM

She immediately goes into panic mode when she feels something crawling down her hands

She can only start screaming in absolute FEAR when she sees hundreds of spiders crawling on her body, dropping her dagger to the ground and trying to swat them off her to no avail

And the worst part is that literally no one can help her because they can't even SEE what she's seeing and feeling, except you!

Yeah your meeting is the worst memory Annabeth has of you💀

Fast forwarding to after your meeting, you get caught in some trouble with a dangerous monster and dun duunn!!

Annabeth saves you because she knows its the right thing to do

And you're so touched by her action despite the literal hell you put her through after showing her worst fears that you just

Join their quest and decide to become her friend (or at least try to)

Annabeth would be super awkward and nervous around a child Phobos solely because of her first encounter with one

Whenever you try to talk to her, she just awkwardly looks at you

You see her somewhere at camp and brightly wave to her, she's doing a quick wave and speedwalking away

But it's low-key not her fault😭😭 Whenever she's around you she can't stop the way her hands get clammy and her heartbeat speeds up

It's something you can't control but you have this aura that ignites fear in anyone near you

I don't think a friendship could come from this unless you were to apologize for what happened

It could be the worst apology known to existence because you don't know how to properly express your feelings, but Annabeth appreciates the thought behind it!

After that, everything is a little smooth sailing

She would slowly get used to your presence, getting used to your aura and knowing that you most likely won't use your power to cause her harm (again)

It would take some time for you two to become close enough for her to see you in a romantic light, but you still manage to break down her walls

Your constant figure in her life makes you a part of her routine

She’d give you a nickname, something dumb like panic pants

(when Percy first heard Annabeth call you that, he made it his mission to just refer to you as ‘PP’ to ‘shorten it’💀)

Annabeth would see you as friend while on the other hand, you be quick to catch feelings for the grey eyed girl because of her witty personality

I think the small things would really matter to her if you’re wanting to up your game with her

You give her a small flower while walking to lunch because it reminded you of her

She appreciates the way you give her your undivided it attention whenever she takes about architecture

Sometimes Annabeth fees like she’s talking to much about it but seeing you listen to her with interested eyes allows her to keep talking about what she loves

She feels seen and heard when she’s around you😭

Oh my gosh if you weave her something, no matter how bad the pattern is, she’s gonna treasure it FOREVER

Having something made just for her will make her all giddy inside UGH

Annabeth is so used to being grouped with her siblings so having someone pay special attention to her makes her feel important and well, special!

This is when the game shifts, she’ll begin giving you small gifts too!!

Whether it be a small weaving of her own or a clay bowl she made herself, Annabeth wants to show that she truly appreciates as a person!!

She’s all blushy while gently giving it to you and you’re face is just RED cuz oMGGG

Let’s talk about when the relationship becomes official >:)

It could be anytime but the one I see happening is if you save her after she’s attacked while outside of camp

Inside running to get away from the threat, you stay behind and protect her while she recovers herself

Like you get BRUTALLY beat, limping towards her when she just runs to you and pulls you in a crashing cuz!!! You literally!! Risked your life to save her!!😭

“Annabeth are you alri- hmph!”

“What we’re you thinking ?! Thank the gods you’re ok! I thought- ugh don’t scare me like that again!”

Everything is HISTORY

Like you guys just naturally click after getting together

Ok so since Annabeth like REALLY trusts reader at this point she would let them like see what her greatest fear is, you know to solidify that trust bond😁

And what if!! What if!!!!!!!

Instead of seeing the spiders, this time you only sees glimpse of what her now current fear is, which is losing you😭😭😭

Hugging session is a must after seeing that cuz damn😭

And imagine like if your abilities were really strong you’d be able to show your own fear to someone else

Moving on! During battles, you both are back to back fighting together. Annabeth had full confidence in reader, like she knows she’s in good hands

No one goes near her because all the enemies are too busy panicking with what you’re doing. With a lot of concentration, you’re able to instill fear to all the monster, with the exception of your girlfriend teehee

The dating life with Annabeth wouldn’t be too different tbh

You guys still bucket with each other, throwing lighthearted, sarcastic comments but theres a more sweeter vibe

I think Annabeth still gets a little blushy with you cuz cmon! She still has a MAJOR crush on you even if you’re dating🤭

You provide her with so much confidence and happiness. You help her face her fears, calm her down when she begins panicking when something goes wrong

Despite being a child of Phobos and having such a scary ability to make people see their greatest fears, Annabeth knows that even the ‘scariest’ people have kind and gentle side
