Contest art, because when your stress levels and self-esteem are in the shitter you can always just give someone something and let them figure out how much they like it. (or, a sentence where if you fill in what isn't being said you can figure out why I don't offer commissions anymore except on a blue moon for five minutes)
Not lying I just wanted the soothing action of painting a pretty face and manchest and the ability to give up halfway through if I actually couldn't produce a whole picture at the moment.

because this is following my usual pattern

oh damn I hate this thing it's not my normal jam
proceed to ahve the next 3-6 paintings be that thing
even after cussing it out on the first attempt
this is actually how I stopped working with lines
hating it the whole way
