Art Summary 2019 - Tumblr Posts

My summary of art for 2019. In general, I drew less this year than last year, which is probably understandable due to my classes, internship, and moving (again). I think I got a little better, though it’s a bit hard to tell.

I didn't get to make one last year since I was sick, so I did this in advance! Am I summing up the year ahead of time? And actually why not. I start collecting this collection already in early January, and only then at the end of the year I edit it, replacing it with something more decent.

In 2021, there were more good moments than something terrible. Especially in the second half of the year. By the way, there should be another sammari dedicated to my redraws here, but it's not ready. For now.

Surprisingly, I didn't catch a cringe from my drawings this year, ahah. Maybe I gained self-confidence, got a hand on a more decent style, or the fact that I switched from cheap notebooks to paper suitable for markers? Who knows, who knows. Anyway, I'm very happy about it.

Comparison with previous years

‘Tis the season for artist summaries! I didn’t draw as much as I have this year as I have in the past (I had to hunt for a couple of these), but I’m really happy with pretty much all of these still! I did a lot of drawing for myself instead of for the approval of others this year, which might be why I like it more than previous years. That or I’ve just gotten better at art, who knows? I look forward for what developments we’ll see in the new decade!
