Tell me about the order in which your characters (in any WIP) will die in a horror movie

Which villain are you proud of making?

Do you have any repetitive tropes or themes in your story?

-Okay can't do Downfall because then they would just gang up on the villain/monster. The Box only has one character so can't do it either. The Assassin from Norm: Jeffery dies first cause he's a kid, then Charles who accidentally sets himself on fire while fighting, Theo then kills the villain/monster, and The Invincible Empire of course would survive regardless cause he's, you know, invincible

-The answer is totally Alius, he's just the worst. Fun fact, when I first started writing the Downfall series, I actually got upset about how monstrously evil he was and had to take a break, now I'm back and just making him way worse. I also really like The Angel of Pains description in The Box

-Not sure I actually entirely understand, but think I do. For The Box I'd say despair, for Downfall I'd say perseverance against something collosal, for The Assassin from Norm I'd say fighting against tyranny

🌸• This question in particular kinda made me do a double take on myself 😂. I myself voice Phoebe (since she’s my self insert oc) and here’s what she sounds like. When she laughs it’s either a low chuckle or a full on hyena laugh. Singing voice well, it mostly depends on the person who’s herd it, she usually sings meme jokes most of the time but there are rare times where she’d sing cliche Tagalog songs.

💜• Music! She’s magic less so swords, and she feels most at home in urban areas.

🌀• In twst she just refers to it as “The Pearl of The Orient Seas” but she’s canonically from the Philippines. She’s lived in the same neighborhood for 16 years before getting isekaid to Twst.

🍋• She’s pretty unfazed by anything trying to get her jealous, but if it’s food than that’s a whole other story entirely!

📙• She adores History and Magic Analysis! It’s actually also her best subject at NRC. PE is also somewhat up there especially when it’s not about flying or swimming (god help this poor kid who can’t even swim-) and I guess she has an interest in Criminology related topics!

🔥• She likes Navy Blue and Dark reds because it isn’t too straining to the eye. She usually wears gloves (due to a weird reason) so she rarely cares for textures. She likes Rap and Songs with really cool beats that would get you dancing in seconds. She prefers cloudy or rainy days over sunny ones. Lastly I guess is that she loves Blueberry flavored snacks and desserts!

🌷• If given the chance and the motivation, she’d want to dye the edges of her hair blue. She doesn’t exactly like wearing make up, it just makes her feel uncomfortable but sometimes helps other people with theirs.

🍒 • This goes for both Platonic and Romantic, She doesn’t really asks for much, all she looks for is Honesty and Trust. As long as she knows that her and her partner love each other honestly and trust each other than she’s already content. That’s why she clicks immediately with blunt and open people, even if it borderlines on rude sometimes.

🌠• (I’m about to pull some serious OC lore here haha-) When she was a kid, she was a very social butterfly, the thing people used to describe her often was that she’s “Charming”. So during her early elementary days she had a lot of friends but only one boy actually became her best friend, they both understood each other and had the same interests so they hit off well right off the bat. But due to his dad’s work the boy had to move to another country and that was the last time she ever had a genuine friend, it wasn’t until sixth grade that she clicked with people again. When he moved she felt weak for realizing how much she relied on him but as she grew, she learned to accept that people no matter how close will come and go.

💖• (server peeps probably already know this but meh-) She...yeah she fell for her seatmate but later found out that he likes her best friend, it crushed her but dismissed her heartbreak and wing-manned him until he and her best friend ended up together. That was the first time she genuinely fell for someone, it took years for her to move on so every time she falls for someone new, she already gives herself reasons why they’d never love her back. Hence why she tends to keep any romantic feelings to herself.

🧡• Contrary to popular belief, her favorite person in Twst is Professor Trein. He just reminds her so much of her own grandfather and despite the popular opinion on him, she’s genuinely interested in his lectures and even catches the subtle hints of passion he has for his work, be it with the way his aged eyes twinkle at a certain topic or the way his hands ever so slightly speeds up when writing on the board, she wholeheartedly appreciates the Professor and the lectures he gives.

As for hate, there was one person she absolutely despised *cough* Tako *cough* but overall she just hates anyone who exploits a person’s dire need or anyone who’d take advantage of the lesser for their own selfish gain. This girl has a subtle sense of moral justice and will not hesitate to throw hands if she sees unfairness at play.

💛• To the majority, she seems so calm and has this air of Authority to her (similar to that of a knight) so they’d think she has no emotional problems whatsoever, but in reality she juggles her emotions and morals at her will because she’s already hurt herself emotionally before. “Oh? I’m sad? Aight so be it” overall she’s composed unless provoked.

💚• ⚠️Trigger warning for framing and bruises! Fortunately she doesn’t have any major traumas, but there was one event back in elementary where a group of boys purposely provoked her and it ended up with her punching an innocent bystander over and over again. Since it was mostly the group of boys that were there during the incident, the staff believed it was genuinely her fault for almost bruising a kid into oblivion, thankfully the grandmother of the victim didn’t pressed charges and just made her promise to never ever turn her fists to the innocent. This is basically what started her moral sense of justice to unfairness.

💙• She’s always dreamed of being a Freelance artist! But as she slowly grew up she’s starting to get second thoughts and is currently eyeing criminology related jobs.

🍓 -> I got into writing by... reading fanfiction or reading in general (if I remember correctly.) And then I started getting OC and my own book ideas and well, here we are! During high school I didn't write as much, only one time with a group of (former) friends. But we stopped as I got into my senior years and hung out with other friends more. (It's the german schoolsystem so it's hard to translate to english how we were in different stages. Those former friends were two to more yeasr younger then me) I started to irregularly write again during my last two years in school on my own book and through the encouragement of my mutuals on here it became a relativly regular thing!

🕯-> Actually, maybe a 6! I do love to go through it, read what I have written (It actually gets my inspiration and creativity going)... but only after like a few days. I just can't bring myself to deleate stuff I have written down. But that is a universal writer experience, I guess. (Can't have one original thing here!)

☁️ -> ...Tumblr... I originally wanted to change it later but I grew to love it! And I mean it's tumblr... our usernames are wanky like that haha. So I also used it on AO3 as well so my beloved mutuals can find me easier on there! Normally I use the origin of my actual name as a username or straight up just my nickname.

3 - unrealistic dream role

this one is a hard one because most of my dream roles nowadays in comparison to my previous ones are pretty realistic and believable now that i know my vocal range and ability, so out of all of my sensible dream roles i’d say katherine plumber from newsies, purely because i do not have any stamina or flexibility for whatever the hell she’s doing in king of new york

8 - least favourite song from your favourite musical

i love all groundhog day the musical songs almost equally but if i had to i would probably choose either philandering or philanthropy purely because they’re just instrumentals, really. i LOVE them musically and in the context of the scene, but when i’m looking to listen to groundhog day i want something i can sing along to. that, or day three?

20 - favourite musical villain

i don’t usually think about musical villains i like so before i think about it too hard and change my mind: plankton from the spongebob musical. he’s ridiculous & as a spongebob autismer i am OBSESSED with his character design!

For the ask game, Acting Out - F and T and U!

F: What do you need to write? Is there anything special you need to do/have to help your creative flow?

Ohh, this is a hard one haha. Time, mainly, I guess. My inspiration typically shows up in short bursts, at which point I need a few uninterrupted hours to sit down and hyperfocus on writing out everything that's in my head at the time. Then I'll need a while to sit with it, poke at it, and slowly edit it into shape.

At least, I need that extra time if it's something more recent like Acting Out! I used to just do the short bursts of inspiration and then, if it was a complete enough story at that point, post whatever came out of that with whatever editing I could make myself do over a day or two.

(Though as I think about this one, having fun conversations with other people about the characters helps that inspiration a lot, too! :) )

T: What is something you wish more people noticed about this fic?

It is probably silly, but - the title! I always struggle with titles, and I'd gone through a slew of different ideas that didn't feel quite right for this one. Initially, "acting out" was only part of a phrase that just barely made the list of titles under consideration.

I almost tossed the phrase away, until I realized how great "acting out" worked on its own. Zuko's memories in the fic are triggered by watching strangers act out something very similar to his own trauma - trauma that occurred, according to Ozai, because Zuko was "acting out" in the sense of displaying bad behavior by yelling at a general during the war meeting.

Then I noticed a few other ways that people could be considered to be acting out poor behavior and/or acting out aspects of Zuko's traumatizing story in the fic. And me loving wordplay as I do, I immediately knew I'd found my perfect title!

U: What is something you didn’t expect people to notice or gravitate towards in this fic?

I expected people to notice Toph's crying, I think, but I was surprised (and pleased!) by how many people specifically pointed it out!

Mostly I'd included it because I think it can be easy to forget that Toph does have a softer/less secure side and does cry in canon, and I think hearing about Zuko's trauma at the hands of a parent would really hit Toph hard. Zuko's story is very different on the surface from the ways that her parents stifled her and tried to control her for her "protection," but underneath the surface level reason it was still ultimately about a parent wanting to control their kid. It was a story about a parent who didn't like the person their child was, so they tried to force that kid into compliance through cruel means that made the kid feel hurt and unvalued for themselves. I think that would really resonate with Toph!

#8: If you had to write an entire story without either action or dialogue, which would you choose and how would it go?

I write dialogue-only ficlets sometimes to help me get into character's heads without distracting myself by trying to describe scenery/actions/etc. So clearly a story without action!

Right now, it would probably involve the Staryk King from Spinning Silver engaging in some solid clown-to-clown communication with Miryem, in which they blithely talk past each other while assuming the other person definitely knows exactly what is going on (So, the book, but a missing scene? haha).

#26: How do you get into your character’s head? How do you get out? Do you ever regret going in there in the first place?

I can say with complete honesty that I had not read ahead to see what this question was when I answered the first one!

The dialogue-only ficlets also help me with quickly switching between character PoVs, as does writing out character meta. Other than that, I've never really thought of, "Getting out of a character's head," as something specific I do!

Do I ever regret going into their heads in the first place, though? ...define "regret"...

#32: What is a line from a poem/novel/fanfic etc that you return to from time and time again? How did you find it? What does it mean to you?

Now this one I knew right away. As I'm sure you will be shocked to hear, it is a quote from Lord of the Rings :p

(Possibly more surprising, it is not the quote I've already shared on tumblr!)

It's Sam's line to Frodo, from the third book, when Sam is encouraging Frodo to keep up hope:

Sam: I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something. Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam? Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.

"How I found it" is probably obvious - while reading LotR the first time.

What it means to me: The definition of a narrative hero - the person who doesn't turn back, who keeps going, even when things seem at their most bleak and hopeless and cruel, because there is still good in their world even when they can't see it themselves, and it is worth fighting for even if they won't be the ones who get to enjoy it afterwards.

It's also just generally a very hopeful message. A new day will come, so long as there are people willing to keep going through the night to reach it.

#38: What is something about your writing process YOU think is Really Weird? If you are comfortable, please share. If you’re not comfortable, what do you think cats say about us?

All of it? Honestly, I have no idea what counts as Extra Weird vs. Normal Weird. I do have a tendency to pick out unusual things to focus on. Also, I convert all my writing to plain text and use html tags before copying it over to ao3, if it wasn't already in a plain text file to start, so that I can use html tags for formatting and not futz around with ao3's messy rich text formatter.

Infinitely easier to come up with fake fic titles, I can do that all day. How about "I'll be your best kept secret and your biggest mistake" or "thunder and lightning (very very frightening)" lol

I am jealous of this skill! I even trip myself up coming up with fake titles, lol. But onto the fake fics for the fake titles!

Angst! Angst seems like the obvious answer, here, haha.

There's lots of potential for a fic with this title in AtLA.... Zukka could go either way (or both ways :p). I could see a Tyzula option with lots of Ty Lee secretly pining for Azula and knowing it's a mistake every time she finds little ways to feed her crush and hope it won't end in the inevitable heartbreak that she knows is coming.

But the one I'm leaning towards most is an Iroh-introspective piece in which Iroh (one who is absolutely, 100% just as Dramatic as the rest of his family, even if he pretends to be quieter about it) finds all new ways to blame himself for both Lu Ten's death and Zuko's burning immediately after the Agni Kai with Ozai, all while desperately trying to keep up a mask of hope and cheer every time Zuko wakes up long enough to look his way.

The mistakes were too numerous to count, and every one is an impossible weight he must learn to bear anyway. The secret is that he's dying inside even when he's smiling.

"Thunder and lightning (very very frightening)"

This one immediately inspired, "lighthearted and cute," lol.

For AtLA: maybe a Zukka fic in which Sokka experiences his first thunderstorm in the Fire Nation's rainy season, after starting his new position as Ambassador for the SWT.

Sokka is merely trying to hunker down in his warm and cozy ambassador room with some warm and cozy stew, when who should appear, between one lightning flash and another, on a nearby hilltop visible from his window - outside, in the rain - but Mr. Crazy-Fire-Guy Zuko... who is, apparently, practicing getting hit by lightning in the middle of the storm.

Who does that?

Zuko. Of course, Zuko does that, because Zuko is a crazy Fire Nation royal - Fire Nation Fire Lord, even - who would stand around in a lightning storm, shirtless, redirecting giant bolts of energy from the sky with his bare hands, with no concern whatsoever for either getting fried or for frying poor Sokka's nerves. First with, "Oh no!" and then with, "Oh, no."
