Are we going to get a new The Rise and The Fall chapter any time soon?

Chapter 12 is in the works! It's massive in comparison to some of the others, and is super lore heavy! I've been plucking through it as I can, but had to take a break a few times for various reasons ^^;; including taking a vacation with my boyfriend as well as recovering from a bite wound I sustained to my hand ;;>.>

I don't have an exact idea of when it's rolling out, but it's being actively worked on!!

Cade is such a fun character and she feels like she was written about me!! Its nice to see awkward female characters who are super confident in theory but nervous and awkward in practice

I am curious whats going to happen with her? Is she going to get a partner or is she doomed to be awkward forever?

Ha, yeah I'm fine! I live with housemates and we have cats. There was an incident when we were changing rooms (one housemate was moving out, one in, so we swapped rooms for optimal space) and my cat ended up getting scared and lashed out after the kitten of the house jumped on her while things were being moved. I stuck my hand between them and got bit to keep them from attacking eachother. Sustained five puncture wounds, including one that went through my thumbnail ^^;; that one sucked!

Hand is fine now, no infection and scaring well ^^

She's got PTSD, I don't hold it against her. She's a stinky baby and I love her.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy my work!! I try hard to write from what I know, and what I've experienced and felt, then transferring those experiences into a fictional (and exaggerated) space so it feels more real and cohesive!

YES YES YES its devastating that there are so few pieces with amab or post transition male bodies! And I'm so excited to be filling a void in the Fandom with my stuff ^^

Oh gosh.. Well in truth, she's slightly based on my egg doner (mother) and some toxic people I've known in my life. She's an excellent villain and antagonistic, and I'm delighted to hear you enjoy how I write her.

So, Uranis IS a purposeful misspelling. It mainly boils down to me wanting to avoid the jokes about his name, along with him being gay.

No huge thing! Just wanted him to have a fair run as a character while not being made into a joke for his name ^^

I may be forgetting some, but yes there are characters who are strictly straight. I do my best to write the relationships as healthy as possible!

Hey yeah that's correct!

Saturn is trans, Uranis is trans, and Neptune is trans.

Additionally, Mercury is Fem Nonbinary (she/they) and Sun is Masc Nonbinary (he/they). Not trans but under the same umbrella ^^

I have a master post for this stuff in the works, it's just MASSIVE and will take some more time ^^;;

Thank youuuuuu!!! Technically speaking, we're just engaged now ^^;; but we have been referring to eachother as husbands for a lil bit now ^^ as @solunest and I are just very gay and soft and mushy

I am very excited to spend my life with this dork. He is sweet, kind, funny, handsome as all get out, and we genuinely just sink into eachother and are cozy together in a way I've not experienced with anyone else before. Like I'm usually EXTREMELY touch repulsed, but we are glued to eachother when possible and I am constantly thinking about holding his hands and giving them kisses.

We're both just obsessed with eachother and constantly encouraging eachother and caring and teaching eachother. Never have I met a more patient man who doesn't just listen to me ramble because it's what he's "supposed to do" but because he's genuinely interested in what I'm rambling about. Never have I met a more compassionate man who is gentle and kind around old mental wounds and my traumatic past.

He's the Sun and the Moon and the Stars. He's the gentle hands of the gardener tending the wild thorns that ensnare the garden of my soul. He's the bright expanding force of the cosmos above that holds the secrets of gentle love and tender kisses. He's the soft warmth of a sunset sinking below a valley full of flowers. He's the warm cinnamon and caramelized honey of his eyes, gazing at me as if I'm the only thing in the room that matters. He's every iota and every gargantuan feeling of inspiration and tenderness that burns in my heart and head. He is tenderness, after having not known much of it in my life. He is brave and kind and strong and sweet.

I carry his love next to my heart, as if to hold his very own heart in my chest, keeping it safe and shielded from all that may maim or harm it.

What's your process? The style you use is unique and is like cartoon-y while not at the same time. Also what software do you use?

Oh! Uhm well it's often chaotic! Usually I'll make a sticky note doodle while I'm at work, throw it in my sketch book in my bag, then snap a picture of it and use that as a base to do my digital stuff on when I get home! Here, I have a WIP of Serpent and Eon that I'm working on for my boy's ceremony. ^^

So I'll pull my past stuff in for reference and to make sure I'm staying on model, then I build off of basic sketches and stuff! Typically, I chunk things like you can see here. Like Serpent's hand and face are mostly drawn in, but his arm is still the pencil sketch at the moment.

My process is chaos ^^;;

And as far as the software... I actually just use an app called Sketch!

It's free to use and has a decent amount of tools at its disposal ^^ I do all my art on my phone! Tiny screen be damned, I'm gonna draw any way I can ò^ó (it would seem I may be getting an upgrade come December, as my boy has decreed that I'm getting a tablet haha)
