If there was a way I could watch my favorite sports in English (F1 and Football) without encountering commentary by the British I'd pay the subscription in a second. The British Bias is very prevalent in those two sports and it's grating and disgusting. I watched the England vs Switzerland game with commentary by British people and by God it was as if we were watching the game beside a beer guzzling local drunkard and not professional journalists. Bias seeped through their tone throughout the game. Same thing with Skysports F1 commentary. They were very quick to stoke the Max hate train fire in Austria for an incident where both pilots were to blame.

I can't dislike a driver for being disrespectful to my favorite driver because I'D be picking favorites or because "They're literally friends IRL" ? Mate, first of,are you new to the internet? Second,these people are CO-WORKERS in competition against each other!! I don't incite people to chant my name when my friend wins,I don't throw a fit when people say my best friend is my best friend, I don't act like a brat in public just because something did not go my way and it favoured my friend. It's okay to dislike a driver's behavior, we're in parasocial relationships with these people whether we like it or not. What is not okay is spreading vitriol or death threats at drivers you don't like. What is not okay is harassing a driver's fans because their favorite driver was in an altercation with your favorite driver.
I disliked Lando's attitude in the past few races but you don't find me telling his fans to go off themselves or even tagging him in vitriolic threats thrown at him.
This is more of a rant than anything but my point is you can express your dislike for a driver's actions but inciting hate in person to their fans is disgusting,also Lando ,calm down, you've been way too bratty and entitled in the past few races.
