i got a headcanon that the hephaestus cabin invented a cell tower and made it where the camp has a wifi connection that monsters cannot use as a pinpoint you just can’t call , text , or facetime anyone outside of camp because that is going to a source not protected by the camp borders.

now i get wanting a character to look like you cause you like the character

but when people are like

“but technically they were white in the books”

“technically annabeth is described as tan therefore she is not white”

“the movies were so bad i mean they literally made annabeth brunette”

“proof that *whatever character* was *insert race*”

“*hair color/eye color/race* *character* supremacy”

“why *whatever character* having *whatever hair color/eye color/skin color” is key for their character”

also when people are talking abt the books and go

like yeah he’s made some mistakes before but there’s not a reason to act like he’s out to get people

no matter who gets cast y’all can still imagine and draw the characters however you like just don’t get mad about how they look.

yet some of y’all are focusing so much on their skin color though that y’all are making it abt their skin color

be excited abt more rep in media of course and you can express that but SOME of y’all need to find a way to express your excitement about the actors that isn’t just their skin color because that is quite legit “making it about the characters skin color”

i honestly think that they just fit the vibe of the parts so well

like let’s praise them for the talent that ended up getting them the roll that the author of the books himself chose them for

headcanon that some demigods are really bad at things before they get claimed/arrive at camp

•apollo kid not being able to get an arrow even remotely near a target not matter how hard they try then hitting the target the first time once claimed

•an aphrodite kid who sucks at their french class and can barley make a D then just speaking and understanding french fluently once claimed

• demeter kid never being able to get a plant to grow no matter how precisely they follow every instruction yet once claimed plants practically growing when they walk near it
