Once again, Grace @finewallsline28 did that sexy detective shit.

New Pleasing entities have been registered alongside the Emptyleg entities, and the main Emptyleg has been updated.

Summary of entities:

Emptyleg, LP – was registered in Delaware, has the trademarks registered in US and UK, I believe it is now called “The Pleasing Company”

Emptleg Manager, LLC – registered in Delaware on 4/20/21

Emptyleg Manager – registered in Delaware on 11/10/21

New entities:

Pleasing GP I, LLC – registered in Delaware on 11/22/21

Pleasing GP II, LLC – registered in Delaware on 11/22/21

‘The Pleasing Company’ are in some way working with Tru Fragrance to produce, manufacture, distribute and ship these products.

As it stands, Jeffrey Azoff is still the sole owner of the Emptyleg entities. Which is … more than unusual for a celebrity brand. Celebrities tend to both invest in their own ventures (Rih, Selena, Jen Aniston etc etc etc) there’s no evidence Harry Styles is involved beyond a very, very low maintenance ambassador role.

I could talk about how these guys didn’t for a second understand their market, and how they didn’t realise fans didn’t want cosmetic products and instead had to rush to manufacture a 95USD jumper with ‘Pleasing’ printed on it in bubble font last minute, or how Harry didn’t wear Pleasing nail polish between his photoshoot for Dazed, taken in August, and his last show 28/11, the fact that he has still not once talked about Pleasing outside of the Dazed shoot; which was a print interview and … clearly scripted. But I’m enjoying the comedy of Harry lambert and Molly Hawkeye being the only two people promoting or celebrating the launch of Pleasing, with their tiny cake for two people, and going on Instagram live without even painting their nails with the product they are trying to sell.

Pleasing is hella shady; between the ownership, the timelines, the odd promotional choices, it's confusing. These are some of the things I'm stuck on.

On the back end of the business side:

- Pleasing, the trademark, was registered in April 2021 in the US, two days after Jeffrey Azoff's subsidiary Empty Leg, LP was registered in the State of Delaware. Jeffrey also owns the entity Emptyleg Manager, LLC

- Emptyleg Manager II, LLC entity is owned by someone named Osborn Curry; will update as we find more info UPDATE Osborn Curry works under THE AZOFF MUSIC COMPANY LLC. Both entities are confirmed owned by the Azoff family.

-Pleasing, the trademark was registered in the UK in May 2021 by Emptyleg, LP.

- Pleased As Holdings Limited was registered in May 2021 in the UK, by Harry Styles, and lists himself and his assistant Emma as directors. Erksine Records owns all the shares to Pleased As

- Pleasing websites were registered in June 2021

-Note: Pleasing is not an actual company at this point in time. It is solely a trademark registered by Emptyleg, LP in the US and UK. On Pleasing’s website, they call the entity that houses Pleasing, DBA Pleasing. DBA stands for “Doing Business As” which allows a company to operate under an alias.

As far as promotion, I think we've all been confused.

- Pleasing digital billboards dropping after Harry's Arizona show with very little fanfare, and the billboards showing up in London

- Pleasing.com going live at 3 am NY/ midnight LA time with zero promotion which is unusual for a celebrity launching any sort of brand. Guerrilla marketing is common (think about Lights Up promo) but this feels different

- Pleasing Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter accounts go live the day after, each platform sharing different images, mission statements, and information about the brand and products

- The business is listed as a lifestyle brand on Instagram, rather than a cosmetics or retail brand, which is unusual for a brand like this (compare Rihanna or Kim's brands)

- Pleasing has been advertising a taco nail truck in LA with no build-up or fanfare and deleting all previous tweets the day after. At the time I'm posting this, Pleasing has 200k followers, 5 days after launching

- Harry Styles himself has not addressed Pleasing verbally until Pleasing promotion went live with the Dazed cover and Instagram video that he narrated of someone painting his nails

- The Dazed photoshoot. Call me crazy, but if the intention of the shoot was to launch Pleasing ... said, why did we get a high fashion editorial of Harry with his nails only visible (not even on display) for 2 out of the 13 pictures?

- Harry’s face and name aren’t on the Pleasing website, only his hands, which … sure

- I can't even talk about the print interview. As much as I love Harry and believe him when he says wallpaper is an inspiration, so much of that article was an HSHQ advertisement for all his projects. It didn't feel much like a conversation with a human being

- The press packs being sent out are confusing to me, also. I'm surprised no one is commenting on how bizarre it is that Harry Lambert is the driving force behind the promotion and the press packs, and how everyone seems to be thanking him and Molly Hawkins, designer of the horrific 360 HSLOT stage. Many people are also thanking Jeffrey Azoff and the Tommys, both the hot one and the other one

Now, I have a lot of thoughts. Most of them revolve around this being an Azoff driven business venture given the current state of company ownership, lack of clarity of how involved Harry is as an owner/investor comes into play when we consider who is promoting Pleasing.

Last week I said to some people that it seemed like this seemed like a Lambert/Azoff collaborative effort more than a Harry Styles passion project. Harry's lack of involvement with the promotion, let alone him not verbally talking about Pleasing.

Given Harry Lambert and Molly, along with Jeffrey and his Full Stop Management business partners, are being thanked in all the promotional messages from people receiving the press packages who, oddly enough, are all Full Stop or Lambert connected, are interesting to me.

Throw in Harry Lambert going live on Instagram and talking about "our" launch, and now Live Nation, another Azoff business venture, sending out promotional emails for Pleasing, this is unusual.

I have a lot of thoughts about how Harry seems to be in an ambassador role for Pleasing, much like he is with Gucci, seeing as he's only really shown up in the merch and the ads, and hasn't spoken about this as a passion.

If anything, I am wondering if this idea started with Full Stop Management, and they registered Pleased As as a way of connecting Harry to Pleasing, without explicitly having him state this was something he wanted to do. It seems like they have let the fandom do what we do best, which is fill in the gaps and make our own assumptions. Harry wears nail polish = Harry registers and company to make and sell them; except, he's never actually said this.

The mission statement, talking about 'community' is quite vague. It looks like they are alluding to the LGBTQIA+ community, but in true Full Stop Management style, they don't want to acknowledge us outright. I personally find the timing of Harry posting a rainbow on his Instagram for the first time in three years right before the Pleasing launch a little off ...

I'm sure I'm missing heaps, but these are my current thoughts. I'll add more as people smarter than I help me realize things, and realize stuff.

The rumours Ben and James have fallen out are at least 2-3 years old, but considering the partnership seems to be legally changing, and considering no member of 1D sent James a message for his 1000th show last week ...

Talk to me again about how Pleasing is Harry's brand when Harry Lambert and Molly whatshername are doing all the work, and no one is mentioning Harry, tagging Harry in the PR boxes, and now the Pleasing pop up staff aren't even allowed to say his name??

HS3 being buried by Sony bc I love crack theories and I cbf doing work right now

Lauren and I accidentally stumbled onto another crack theory instead of working, you're welcome.

I have a whole thing about Sony and Harry having a handshake deal to bury HS3 and get rid of the Azoffs and he will do another album or two for Sony to ensure he's made back the 80m album deal and how this ties into Louis being let go from Sony as a show of good faith and LTHQ is finally in charge of bg and HS4 and LT2 will be their underdog comeback albums blah blah blah.

But Lauren had a truly wonderful brainwave and you guys need to hear what we have now because we can't stop fucking laughing this might be funnier than Liam's new accent.

Lauren and I were talking about how HS3 at best appears to be a concept album about quarantine, most likely not all about Harry himself, and this is why 2021 was so focused on Harry either trapped in LA with his friends in a share mansion, or his road trip/all the times he illegally broke quarantine because he is rich, and other media stories that everyone worked real hard on circulating at the time.

Which lead us to Nicole Branch. Fish girl. She lives in my heart, with her fresh lip fillers that look like sausages about to burst, pec muscle tensed so hard to make sure her tit implant is so prominently displayed. But Lauren mentioned that she thinks this entire one night stand/fish feeding bullshit story was seeded as a stunt song for HS3 and we can't stop talking about it because a collection of stories from quarantine year F***lore style about maybe Harry but definitely his friends makes more sense (and better business wise/saves him having to lie, or costing him his credibility when stunts end) than Harry lying about not breaking quarantine regularly and being trapped in his mansion. A collection of short stories in song form that he can rebuff as not about him would be easier to write off in the long run, too.

So, this whole thing was set up, syndicated and publicised for HS3 maybe? Nicole Branch being connected to Sony via Michelle since she was signed with them is a fun twist, I personally would love to see Stringer undermining anything HSHQ could come up with from 15 steps ago, just because the Azoffs are demons equivalent to disgruntled government employees who are pissy they peaked at 17 and seem determined to spend the rest of their lives proving they are smort.

I'm not saying the 'Harry is my friend' hats being implemented as tour merch after HSHQ desperately tried to use hats to link Holivia and overwrite the fish girl story, maybe to take control of that potential stunt line and link it back to Holivia which, credit to Jeff, is the funniest thing he has ever done, but I'm not not saying that.

HS3 (I can't call it by it's name it's too ridiculous this is the Halloween thing all over again) is actively being sidelined by Miley Cyrus' fan chosen album and Lizzo's new single, both of which are dropping April 1st. This is a truly bizarre move by both Columbia (Miley) and HSHQ (Lizzo) to have two artists release competing works on the same day, but everyone getting an April Fool's release is exactly what they all deserve, messy af.

I also am pretty interested in Harry's lack of involvement with anything happening, the absolutely nondescript way his announcements are totally factual with no fun comments or punctuation, and how he doesn't really seem to have a promo plan outside of performing at Coachella which ... that's interesting and oh so Pleasing-esque. Plus, Lizzo getting the promo spot on SNL over Harry is fucking hilarious and just wouldn't happen unless they're going to surprise perform their duet about being sexy hot pals who like to do sexy things if we get a new fruit motif with the grapes I hope Lizzo outright references anal beads idc just move past cherries so I can wear my cute jeans with the cherry patches I have again

I've talked a bunch about how I think Stringer is a clever businessman and won't risk losing money when he can make money, as evidenced by Lil Nas X and other artists on the payroll, and how he squeezed all that money out of fans early in the game for Adele before she fell to pieces and fans turned on her. I do think the lack of promo for HS3 and all the recycled HS2 stuff happening is on purpose, and it HSHQ driven rather than Sony driven (mostly because there doesn't seem to be a lot of money or creativity behind it and it screams Jeff)

I'm not saying the 'Harry is my friend' hats being implemented as tour merch after HSHQ desperately tried to use hats to link Holivia and overwrite the fish girl story, maybe to take control of that potential stunt line and link it back to Holivia which, credit to Jeff, is the funniest thing he has ever done, but I'm not not saying that.

HS3 (I can't call it by it's name it's too ridiculous this is the Halloween thing all over again) is actively being sidelined by Miley Cyrus' fan chosen album and Lizzo's new single, both of which are dropping April 1st. This is a truly bizarre move by both Columbia (Miley) and HSHQ (Lizzo) to have two artists release competing works on the same day, but everyone getting an April Fool's release is exactly what they all deserve, messy af.

I also am pretty interested in Harry's lack of involvement with anything happening, the absolutely nondescript way his announcements are totally factual with no fun comments or punctuation, and how he doesn't really seem to have a promo plan outside of performing at Coachella which ... that's interesting and oh so Pleasing-esque. Plus, Lizzo getting the promo spot on SNL over Harry is fucking hilarious and just wouldn't happen unless they're going to surprise perform their duet about being sexy hot pals who like to do sexy things if we get a new fruit motif with the grapes I hope Lizzo outright references anal beads idc just move past cherries so I can wear my cute jeans with the cherry patches I have again

I've talked a bunch about how I think Stringer is a clever businessman and won't risk losing money when he can make money, as evidenced by Lil Nas X and other artists on the payroll, and how he squeezed all that money out of fans early in the game for Adele before she fell to pieces and fans turned on her. I do think the lack of promo for HS3 and all the recycled HS2 stuff happening is on purpose, and it HSHQ driven rather than Sony driven (mostly because there doesn't seem to be a lot of money or creativity behind it and it screams Jeff)

I think Jeff Azoff sold Harry Styles.

I've been talking about this since 2018 but my friends @sockgate @alwaysyousunflower @fortunatelyshynerd @finewallsline28 @thatumbroshirt really put the pieces together and solved it.

Theory

Harry and Jeff have been on the outs since 2019 at least.

Harry making remarks about not liking LA, and selling property in 2018-2019.

Harry filmed all of the Fine Line music videos aside from Adore You without Jeff present.

Harry conducted most of his promotional interviews without Jeff present.

Jeff was present at Harry’s One Night Only shows, at the arena Jeff’s family invests in.

Harry making remarks about not liking Halloween – the Harryween shows were announced by his team a week later.

Harry not being seen with Jeff outside of work functions for at least two years.

Jeff’s wedding to Glenne was obviously fake. Their extended families weren’t there and girlfriend wore an off the rack dress with loose hems and didn’t wash her hair.

The wedding PR stunt was done to promote the Holivia fauxmance.

Theory

Olivia Wilde was seeding Shia LaBeouf as her boyfriend for DWD promo

Given that she was seeding a break up from Jason as early as April 2020, she most likely cast Shia with the intention of a PR romance to keep this movie promo run interesting.

When Shia’s behaviour led to the studio firing him Olivia went on a public campaign regarding appropriate workplace behaviour and feminism. I believe this was all intentional as a defence against her soon to be realized PR stunt.

It’s clear Jeff and Olivia have been connected through business since at least 2018.

I believe Jeff gave Harry to Olivia for DWD promo.

I believe Harry knew there would be some sort of stunting involved, but we have no way of knowing if he knew the details. A one year contract is most common in Hollywood – Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas are a good example.

Harry wearing the Umbro shirt in September 2020, one week after signing onto DWD, indicates that he knew what was coming and tried to reassure the fandom in advance.

Jeff is still financially invested in a number of revenue streams, including CAA, Warner Brothers, New Line Cinema, and various other institutions where he would benefit selling Harry to CAA/Olivia for DWD.

Wow you really just put into words how I'm feeling. I think the biggest reason I feel like Harry's team is failing is not commercially-- bc from a commercial standpoint he's skyrocketing. It's the fact that he basically has no personality anymore. He reminds me of this:

It's like he's a racecar without a driver, just an empty shell with brand stickers all over the outside and someone in a tower is controlling the turns of the car, over and over again in circles while Harry is in the control room but without his hands on the controls, instead just giving suggestions. It feels like all we see of harry is this mannequin with brand stickers plastered all over him to the point that little of his real self shows through. In fact, whenever I watch videos of his concerts I'm always pleasantly surprised to find that he has a personality, as if i'm realizing it for the first time. 

Like you said, the fact that the same circle of people and brands keep revolving around him like he's dragging them on chains feels so off to me because it's not really who he his. His outfits, although fun, are getting predictable to the point where it almost feels like he's doing an impersonation of himself or dressing up in a costume of Harry Styles (tm). His social media posts are almost a parody of themselves ("GRAMMYS MARCH 2021" ?? ). And even when he speaks, it feels so distant and unrelatable because I almost can't believe it's really him.

His team is doing a fantastic job of promoting a BRAND. If Harry was a clothing line or a candle, it would be selling out like crazy and be on the front cover of Forbes. I get that celebrities have to have a brand, but at this point it feels like Harry has been reduced to nothing BUT a brand and I hate it.

I find it funny that nowadays your one of the few people who still think they do a shit job with Harry or don’t know how to handle him right. All I read are the same essays how perfect they are for him

They have never have been, they have big connections because Irving Azoff is a legend, so they get big gigs because of that and because Harry has a lot of star power and everyone wants him to do stuff. They are lucky he is on high demand and people want him because he is harry styles(tm) but at the same time they are incapable of get all these opportunity and use his potential in the right way. If he was an indie artist, he’d be ruined with a team like that to be honest. I think the interests here lie on how much Harry can make them earn with his famous persona, he is now the big name they can flaunt around the industry and that’s all they care about. He works with a too small group of people who are always the same and say the same things over and over again, no attention is placed on his persona ever, it’s always either gossip and stunts or associations with people who have the same team or no association at all. He doesn’t do anything mainstream because they want to show him as ‘too good for this and that’, he doesn’t wear any clothes that are not gucci because of this one deal (which considering how handsome he is and how much people want to work with him, its kinda stupid he’s that tied to one brand at this point of his career but alas), he doesn’t collaborate with other artists that are not lizzo or stevie nicks ( i mean, great names but....we got it the first 20 times, thanks) his social media presence does not exist and when it does is super fake (except for a few glimpse of real harry here and there, see the 1D anniversary post). Probably the act like this so they have more control on him, or because they can’t do better than this or they don’t care as long as he earns money and power for them and their firm, i am not sure. They turned him into this walking advertisement for anyone but himself and everything he does is just publicity for this and that but never himself  and his art (see the grammys, where everyone and their dogs posted about it BUT him basically) and i get this is show business and everyone is an advertisement but it comes to a point when there HAS to be more than that on the table. I did read an interesting post a few years ago, saying his team does this with all the artists and especially harry (which is one of the 3 that actively works in their roster) because the deeper the connection is, the harder it is for him to leave cause he’d find himself ‘alone’ if everyone he had ever worked with is connected to his ‘old’ team. Someone as dynamic and eclectic as Harry is kind of wasted with these limited options his team offers, in my opinion and having a Vogue cover and a Grammy is good but it is not enough in 2021 especially if these amazing gigs are followed by shitty stunts and poor actions that reflects bad on him and his persona all the time. He describes himself as someone that never stays put, that always likes to venture into new fields and try new things and experiment with new stuff so I find it hard to believe he only wants to work with James Corden, Ben Winston and Gucci over and over again, something doesn’t add up here. Another bad thing that makes me fuming is that they want to make him an ‘American’ star so bad they forget harry is not even American. Bottom line is that he has a lot of opportunities and stuff thanks to his multiple talents and it’s infuriating to see it wasted because his team doesn’t know how to handle them and always turns them into sloppy jobs and bad stunts.
