Day 20 of #inktober2022 is #bluff Title: “You Can’t Stop the Unbluffable” This just funny story idea of a scary city owner named benlado he’s kinda like a dictator but as a greedy businessman he seem to try to buff his way to a boss(sharp hat protagonist) to make his family coworkers work for him but the boss know he’s just bluff even with all his goons and now he have to find a to get his coworker from benlado. Hope anyone enjoy the story I thought for this artwork. Is it just me or does the Corbomite Manouver (1966) episode contain that underlying fear and message of the Cold War? Considering it was produced at the time when tensions nearly peaked and spilled over in 1962. I watched it last night and it reminded me of the exchange of bluff between the two superpowers from 1949 onwards. 'Poker' is essentially the tactic used in the Cold War too
Just like this ep, The Doomsday Machine places more emphasis on MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) and the potential for a weapon deadly enough to destroy a planet.
