I made a Christmas Sick Fic surrounding my OC, Alexis, and my baby boy, Gene❣️🎄

I just came up with an angsty headcanon that when Alexis was fairly young (like around early elementary school), they had a crush on this boy. Their parents had indirectly expressed disapproval of LGBTQ+ people, so they weren’t going to go through with doing anything to express their crush. At least at first. And then they decided that they should take a chance and make a note on Valentine’s Day. So they did, and came up with a fake name that sounded vaguely feminine to cover their tracks.

The boy found out, and instead of getting excited as Alexis had hoped, the boy is disgusted and confused, and makes fun of the note, never finding out that Alexis was the sender. It’s not completely the boy’s fault, as they’re young and at that age where they say other people have “cooties” and all of that. And young kids just tend to be immature. He probably also just didn’t have the emotional intelligence to react properly (maybe he was even on the Spectrum, making this even harder for him, but I don’t want to inadvertently stereotype people on the Spectrum as being insensitive, even without meaning to).

But Alexis is devastated, and is hesitant to take that sort of chance with anyone again. So when they eventually work up the courage to give Gene secret notes (which takes a long time because they need to try to get past their own mental block and how they’ve been rejected in the past and how they don’t want to bother anyone, even though this isn’t really bothering anyone), they immediately expect Gene to reject them. They’ve been burned before and want to get the pain over with. But imagine their surprise when Gene doesn’t reject them, and things eventually end happily for the two. They kept having to ask Gene if he meant it when he said he enjoyed the notes. Gene doesn’t mind saying he did multiple times, though ☺️

I had this idea yesterday out of nowhere to give Alexis an older cousin named Ashwiyaa (Ash for short :3) mainly because the idea of giving them a cousin was very sweet. She's an Intersex Queen (She/Her pronouns) and probably won't appear that much because she lives pretty far away and can't visit Alexis that much. The main time they see her is during the major holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.

She's definitely based on my sister a ton, and giving Alexis an older sister-like cousin in his life seemed like a very nice idea. Her favorite thing is to tease Alexis, just like my sister's favorite thing is to tease me 😆

I recently requested a Commission from @nonbinary-hatter to draw my precious baby dorks, Gene, and my OC, Alexis. I keep being super obsessed about them, it's becoming an issue.

Anyway, they were kind enough to indulge me and draw me this absolutely adorable piece of them eating ice cream on the beach!! And in a stroke of absolute genius, they gave Gene a Minnie Mouse swimsuit to match Alexis' Mickey Mouse swimsuit, which is just so 🥺

Thank you so much Hatter!! This came out so flipping adorable.

Woohoo!! I finally have the next part of my comic ready (finally).

I can't even remember how long it's been since my last update (too long, I think).

I changed up Gene and Alexis' designs because I think it was high time for an update in their look. I'll always kind of be nostalgic for the original, digital designs, but I feel as if I've improved a lot as an artist since then.

Tumblr didn't feel like cooperating with me today, so I had to use a Google Drive link to show this off.

They think you're a good mystery solver." The next panel shows a note to back up Gene's claim, and it says: I hope you keep playing your music more than anything. ~Your Secret Admirer. The note is also adorned with music notes, and there's a heart after the words Your Secret Admirer. The next panel shows Gene and Alexis together in a side view, and Alexis says while blushing, "Wow, it could really be anyone." They are thinking at the same time: Oh my God. We're so close right now. Gene responds, "I know, right? That's why we need your help. Are you in?" The next panel shows just Alexis, still in a side view, and looking very nervous. They're thinking: Don't say yes, oh God, I can't go to his house yet. But at the same time, they say, "I... uh... I'd love to." Then they think: Dang it.

As a belated birthday present, @ratguy-nico was kind enough to make this amazing and adorable and perfect mini-comic about Gene and my OC, Alexis which I just saw, and it just, ahhhhhhh 😭❣️

It's so adorable!!

For some context, it's based on the idea that Alexis first falls for Gene after watching Gene's performance of My Butt Has A Fever for the first time after being nervous about moving to a different town. I already drew the idea with my long-form comic (which I finally updated yesterday).

I love this line from Hazbin Hotel so much, because it's so funny and cute, that I got the idea to draw it, but with Tina and my OC, Alexis.

Tina is such a sweetheart 🥹 She tries her best, and that's all that really matters.

Tina calling Alexis "Alex" by mistake is kind of a reference to the fact that my OC's name is very close to Alex Papasian's, and without realizing it, I decided their voice claim would be Thomas Middleditch, who also voices Alex. That was a very funny coincidence.

I knew for the OC day of @seemoreseymoursbayweek, I just had to draw Alexis, my precious baby child. I ended up having the incredible opportunity to Commission @jae-is-drawing for the occasion, and god, they completely knocked it out of the park!!

I actually just asked for one drawing, but they came up with the amazing idea to make my Commission into a mini comic, and it came out so adorable. I can't get over the Lady and the Tramp reference 🥺❣️

So in the episode 'Bad Tina' Zeke mentions that his dads girlfriend just had a baby, assuming that the dads gf he talks about in early seasons is Cheryl his step mom and that the father of that baby is Zekes dad we can also assume that Zeke has a very young half sibling. And I did go ahead and assume all those things so this is Zekes baby sister Cherish (Cherry for short).

Interestingly she's the only oc i have that's part of a different piece of media rather than one of my own projects.

She's a spunky little toddler for sure she's always got tons of energy, she's extremely confident and fearless constantly running off when she sees something that excites her or to ask strangers questions. She has a big sweet tooth but also loves spicy foods, off the top of my head I don't think its been discussed in canon where Zeke is from originally but recently I've been thinking of him and his bio mom as being from louisiana (projection on my part my mom is from louisiana and bc I like Zeke as a chef and the food there is soo good) I love the idea that his mom taught him to cook the local dishes and that he makes them for Cherry. She dresses in a chaotic mix of her own love of bright, clashing rainbow colors and dingey hand-me-downs from Zekes childhood and from their other cousins. I definitely think Zeke has adhd and Cherry does as well.

I tend to draw her/think of her around age 2 1/2- 3 (so when zeke is 16ish) but in canon time she'd still be a newborn. I love the idea of Zeke with a young sibling he's portrayed in the show as being super caring, protective of and loyal to the people be cares about, and good with younger kids all of which read as big brother qualities to me and he's also mentioned wanting siblings hes closer too. (He mentioned having a 44 year old brother in Presto Tina-o but also has said his bio mom was pregnant with him at her prom which is probably just a continuity error with his throway lines but taken at face value makes his dad out to be a gross old creep which is my personal headcanon idk if there's anyone out there who are big fans of Zeke's dad and step mom but my headcanons do not paint them in a nice light so beware of that)

Based on pretty much everything Zeke has ever said about his family I get the impression that the adults in his life are pretty neglectful and irresponsible and definitely not super present (he rarely ever speaks about his dad I hc him having a job that keeps him away from the family most of the time probably something like trucking and Zeke has mentioned Cheryl being an alcoholic I also hc her as much younger than the dad maybe she's a bartender? I definitely see her having a nightlife kind of job also for reference picture her as a redhead with blue eyes and a lot of tattoos that's where cherry gets her eyes and freckles)

I believe with Cherry a lot of parenting responsibilities would be placed on Zeke and while i think he has qualities that are really well suited to that the parentification of an older sibling is not ok and would negatively impact him, I like the idea of him applying for a job at Bob's Burgers bc he needs a more stable way to provide financially than doing odd jobs around town and not only getting a job but also getting a support system and adults who care about him and his sister and their wellbeing. I think Bob would take Zeke under his wing and help him make himself and his education a priority (the belchers helping out with Cherry when they can so he can focus more on school and extra curriculars) and help him get into a culinary school after graduation. Linda would fall completely in love with her (we know how much she loves babies) and basically treat Cherry like she's her own grandbaby. They all babysit her when needed but Louise is her favorite babysitter and maybe person also she really looks up to Louise and likes to imitate her fashion style and the way she speaks, Louise would pretend that this annoys her but not so secretly finds it adorable.

Anyways clearly i could go on and on but ill just cut myself off there hope y'all like her!

Of course, because it's the "Free Space" day for the last day of @seemoreseymoursbay week, I knew I just had to draw my precious baby child, Alexis. Because I had to. It was inevitable, and very necessary.

I decided to draw them wearing a cape with the Nonbinary flag on it, because yay for Nonbinary Pride!! I will always love them dearly.

Also, huge thank you to @babsvibes for running this week. You're amazing, it was so much fun to participate in!!

I was in a Galexis (Gene x my OC, Alexis) mood last night, so I ended up drawing them bowling together, inspired by the recent episode The Big Stieblitzski because the thought of Gene and Alexis bowling was just too cute to me.

Yes, I know, Galexis sounds so much like Galex, but I haven’t been able to think of a better ship name, so Galexis it is. Also, to differentiate Alexis a bit more from Alex, I have officially changed their voice claim to Josh Brener, who’s a great voice actor. Anyway, I hope y’all enjoy this piece!! I loved drawing this a ton.
