Doodlers Daydreams - Tumblr Posts
Anytime someone is like "Haha, imagine liking men" I, as a Bisexual, am always just like:
Hehe... men đđ
And definitely, now I'm always like:
Hehe... my boyfriend đ„°
Okay, but can we all agree that young Bob is kinda đł
I have suddenly come to realize that Gene might have a particular love/appreciation for Asian cuisine!! Sure, he loves basically all food, because that's just who he is (and a natural consequence of being Bob's son), but I've noticed that he's mentioned liking/wanting Asian food a few times.
Of course, there's this line from his song in Mr. Lonely Farts:
Then, there was his subplot in the Some Like It Bot two-parter where he and Louise wanted Tina to take them to get Boba so badly!!

And there was a moment where, I can't remember which episode (but I swear it happened) where Gene wanted to have a Korean barbecue dinner for two with Bob, which is so đ„č
I'll never get over how much I love that Bob and Gene bond over their love of food. I genuinely believe that one day, even though cooking won't be a huge passion for Gene because he prefers eating food rather than making it, he'll become pretty decent at cooking! I like to think Bob will teach him~
Anyway, in conclusion, Gene is an Asian food lover, which makes my Asian heart extremely happy.
Here are a few of the nicknames I can remember that all of the Burger Babies have been given đ„°
Tina: Teeny Tina (By Linda đ„ș), T, T-Bird (By Zeke)
Gene: Geney Weney, Geney Zuchinni, Geney Beany (All by Linda, pfffffft), the âGood Daughterâ (By Louise đ)
Louise: Louisey Peasy Over Easy (By Linda! This one might be my favorite itâs so cute đ), Lou Lou (by Millie), Loosey Goosey (I donât know if this was an actual one or if I gaslit myself, but Iâm pretty sure someoneâs called her this once!)
I just saw the new episode (finally) and am absolutely obsessed with these screenshots of Gene:

Look at him, heâs so silly and cute đđ„ș
Everyone needs to hush up and appreciate my darling baby son for a moment đ
Also, the way Big Bob won a giant gorilla for the kids without hesitation is the cutest and funniest thing ever. And he just carries it with him for the rest of the episode đ
@br1ghtestlight has speculated that Bob is Neurodivergent because of Big Bob and this episode and this moment just confirms it. Heâs very Autistic.

He looks so happy about getting the gorilla, itâs so adorable ;>;
The idea of someone like Jocelyn potentially being the surrogate at least once for Gene and Alexisâ potential future child is just such a sweet thought to me đ„č
I donât talk about Jocelyn enough and this idea just popped into my head out of nowhere~
Do y'all think Bruce the Goose was in this lineup?? đ

So I got some of the most exciting news of my life recently!! My bestie Sam @brinkle-brackle got tickets on January 7 to see Rob Paulsen in the Animaniacs Live show and graciously invited me to go with them.
I am currently shaking and screaming and sobbing with pure joy and excitement. Weâve been talking about seeing Rob Paulsen live together one day, but itâs actually happening now đ„čđ«¶đŒ
Everyone show them as much love as possible for making this happen!!
I'm about to get really sappy, but I genuinely love the Bob's Burgers community/fandom here so much and how tightly knit it is đ«¶đŒ
Y'all are just so supportive and sweet, I can't handle it!! Definitely, the loveliest fandom to be a part of.
11/10, highly recommend.

Iâm definitely going to draw this out someday, but hear me out:
Boblin but a Waitress AU. Specifically for the song Never Ever Gettinâ Rid of Me. Except Bob is Dot and Linda is Ogie.
Itâs my lovely, wonderful, amazing momâs birthday today, so to celebrate, Iâm reposting this super adorable Comm I got from @burgerspeople of my parents in Holiday outfitsâŁïž

who is your favorite bob's burgers character? what's your favorite aspect about them?? what's your LEAST FAVORITE??
Thank you so much @br1ghtestlight for giving me this ask!! đâŁïž Just for the future, though, if anyone wants to give me an ask, itâll have to be through this account, because any ask given through my main account disappears because Iâm still Shadowbanned and Tumblr is mean đ
But onto the actual question!! Well, Light, you already know my absolute favorite is 1,000% our precious baby boy, Gene. I think my favorite aspect about him is that he has some of the best lines in the show humor-wise, but he has a great deal of depth hidden underneath the surface. Heâs genuinely an incredibly talented musician (even though he and show claims he only knows a few chords, come on, heâs actually super talented) and heâs such a sweet person. He doesnât enjoy pranking people simply because it makes them confused and uncomfortable. He just wants people to be happy!! đ„ș
He also has a bigger body type which is rarely commented on and he has a love of food which is super relatable to me (I just love food, pffffft). And the headcanons of him being Genderfluid gives me an insane amount of Serotonin. It just makes me insanely happy. As a Genderfluid person, it makes me feel seen and represented, even though heâs not canonically Genderfluid. Just seeing him be unapologetically himself is incredibly lovely.
Now, because there are just so many characters I love, I must list a second favorite. And that would be Bob!! Previously, Iâve said Linda, and donât get me wrong, I still love her. Sheâs hilarious and amazing and truly the best wife (đ¶ Best of Wives and Best of Women đ¶) but thereâs just something about Bob thatâs so relatable to me. Heâs always tired but always tries his best. Not to mention that his passion for cooking and feeding people is just so sweet đ„č He loves making food for people and having food bring people together!! Itâs so lovely.
Bob is also super Introverted which I relate to very hard. He has a hard time making connections with other people, and has a tight-knit circle (AKA his family) that he prefers spending his time with. And he sometimes has difficulty talking to people without coming across as weird, which I also relate to. Plus, his little quirks are so endearing, like talking to inanimate objects and pretending theyâre alive. And getting so hilariously excited about Thanksgiving đ€Ł
And Bob and Gene together brings one of the most underrated and sweetest relationships in the Belcher family. Their Father/Son relationship is always so adorable to see. The Laser-Inth will forever be my favorite Bob and Gene episode, and probably solidified these two as my favorites.
As for my least favorite, at first I was going to say thatâs difficult, because I love almost every character in the show for one reason or another. But then I realized what the obvious choices are: Gloria and Al. They are the absolute worst. Linda deserves good, doting parents, and these two are the complete opposite of that in every way. Sure, maybe they were slightly better when Linda and Gayle were younger, but definitely not now. The Terminilator II: Terminals of Endearment really solidified just how awful they truly are.
Linda dropped everything to help them at the airport, even forcing Bob to close the restaurant for the rest of the day. Then the entire family went on a wild goose chase trying to track down both Gloria and Al, who somehow kept escaping from their line of sight. Only to find out that these two couldâve bought Alâs cream at the airport themselves the whole time. Not to mention the fact that they found out that Gloria just stole Bobâs charger and refuses to admit it. They keep making excuses for their horrible parenting and Linda just has to deal with it, which is wildly unfair.
Plus, Gloria once told Linda that they arenât the type of people who build things?? Who says that to their daughter?? These two frustrate me to no end. Definitely the worst characters in the show, no contest.
Tina gets an honorable mention simply because of how relatable she is and how sweet she is. She just has such a kind heart like Gene (except when it comes to Tammy â ïž). But thatâs okay, because Jimmy Jr. loves it when sheâs mean đ
As a treat for asking me this, hereâs an image I found of the Burger Babies in Disney dresses!! Credit goes to whoever on Pinterest made this lovely image:

Also, because I need to be a gremlin every time I mention Gene, Iâm going to promote Geneuary again, which begins on January 8!! Hype hype hype hype hypeâ
Okay, this is very random, but because Geneuary is coming up soon (just two more weeks, guys) and itâs Christmas, Iâve decided to (finally) share my real name!! I already did it on the Louigan Discord, but wanted to do it here. ItâsâŠ
Lyntara!!
Itâs nothing crazy, pffffft. But I actually really enjoy the story behind it. I got my name because my parents couldnât decide what my name should be when I was born. My Mom really wanted to name me Lyn, and my Dad really wanted to name me Tara. Then a thought occurred to them:
What if we didnât choose? What if we combined the two names into one?
And lo and behold, my name was born. Itâs such a fun story to talk about, and I actually really enjoy my name now. I used to be a bit embarrassed by now unique it is, but now I embrace it wholeheartedly. I love how Iâve never met anyone with my name before. I love how it sounds. I just canât imagine being called anything else now.
Also, if you type my name in a search engine, one of the first options is this book called The Beast Of Lyntara, and honestly, thatâs hilarious to me:
4, 10, 11, 27!! (took you this long to reblog the thing >:/ but hell yessss â„ïž)
Yesss!! Thank you so much for invading my ask box, DT!!âŁïž
4.) How many different styles/mediums (e.g., digital art, traditional art, comics, sculptures, paper craft, etc.) did you try this year?
Actually, quite a bit!! At least, more than I initially thought I did. I, of course, did mostly digital art near the end of this year, and ended up producing a lot more pieces than I've done before!! It was honestly kind of crazy how much art I began producing at the end of this year. It was like I was a driver in a race, pffffffft. But, at the beginning of this year, I dabbled a lot in traditional art, because I enjoy the feeling of putting a pencil to paper, and whilst it takes more time, sometimes it can give you more freedom to experiment with designs or expressions. I also began making a long-form Bob's Burgers comic for the first time, which was inspired by @bluebirbbs and their long-form Bob's Burgers comic, which everyone should read if they haven't already. When I was younger and in art class, I actually used even more mediums for creating art, like sewing an actual Christmas ornament, and sketching stuff using a lightbox, which is super fun. But I haven't done those two things in years. I kind of want to try doing them again someday.
10.) What inspired/motivated you this year?
DT, you know I'm going to say you as my first (and biggest :3) inspiration. I mean, come on, you're the reason I have this blog in the first place. I know I've said it before, but seeing your amazing, lovely BB art inspired me to begin making my own and get back into drawing, and it caused me to create my blog and expand it into territories I didn't even think were possible. And now I'm running Geneuary, an event celebrating my favorite baby boy, and that would never have happened if it hadn't been for you, and that initial Boblin ask I somehow worked up the courage to give you (and am so glad I did)! It doesn't show it anymore, but do you remember how I didn't even have an image for my account?? đ

Yes, I'm getting super sappy, but all of this is true!! Now, of course, you weren't my only inspiration. There are too many blogs to name, but @br1ghtestlight has been super sweet and my Gene Belcher buddy!! He's the one person who loves the baby boy as much as I do. We may or may not do a collab for Geneuary based on an idea she had about Gene and Tina working on a lil' puzzle together, which is just too adorable đ
I also must shout out @babsvibes too. She was also, in a way, the reason I even have this blog. I used to be content enjoying this silly Burger show on my own, watching the episodes and having fun, and reading the occasional fanfic (@thisaliennerd and their Boblin fanfic Falling For You is Easy [Like Sunday Morning]) was one of my first forays into the BB fanfic community, and it wonderful) when I suddenly stumbled upon this Tinimmy fic by Babs one fateful day called Honeycombed Hair, I believe: https://archiveofourown.org/works/44413795
This fic led me to you, DT, and your amazing art!! And I joined this incredible Muppet community, and nothing's been the same for me ever since. Now I don't have to enjoy this show alone!! Of course, I have my BF @cryptidchrome now, who watches the show, but I digress. Babs also invited me to the Louigan server, which has been an absolute blast. And she's just an excellent writer in general, which is very inspiring as someone who also writes.
I must also shoutout @theangrypomeranian for being so sweet and Commissioning me, and also being an excellent writer (she called me the #1 Gene person in this fandom and that made me so đ„ș). And @devilh0rnsinc for having such lovely art that it makes me squee every time. And @jimmypesto for making the best Boblin fics and just being the ultimate Boblin connoisseur. Shoutout to her new nephew for being the most adorable bambino on the entire planet. Welcome to the world, lil' bean!! @jimmyjrsmusoems is another fantastic writer and is hilarious, and is the other Tinimmy connoisseur in this fandom, besides you, DT, of course. Also, @koko-raccoon has some of the cutest art ever and listened to me ramble about my OCs, which I definitely want to thank them for. Their art is very inspiring to me. But the person whose art is the most inspiring to me, besides yours, DT, is probably @dianadeadwing. Her art is wonderful, and I'll never get enough of it. I also get so excited whenever I see it.
Okay, now for more of a speed round so I can mention more people!! @ratguy-nico has adorable art as well, and I love his style so much. It's wonderful. And @ltwharfy is such a good writer and I didn't even know until I read his Roudise Week fic about Bob and Rudy getting Louise a new hat when she outgrows her bunny ears. @keepyourhornson-spyro is another fantastic writer and is the certified Tedmort Monarch. There are just so many more people I want to name, but I'll just mention one more person: @carnivaldemon, who gave me the most adorable art of Gene and my OC, Alexis. His art is truly inspiring to me.
11.) What pairing/character/subject did you create the most for this year?
You probably already know the answer to this â ïž
It's definitely a tie between Boblin and Gene/Alexis, which is definitely my newest ship and obsession. But I have to give Boblin a special shoutout because I began work on an entire Pre-Canon Boblin series (which I'm still working on to this day) and a "Linda is Deaf" AU, both of which are super close to my heart now. Thank you for giving me the push I needed to work on my "Linda is Deaf" AU when I sent that ask about it to you, pfffffft.
Gene is definitely the character I've created the most for in terms of just singular characters. I could talk about him all day. I love this lil' guy so much. Hopefully, y'all don't get bored of hearing me ramble about him, because I'll certainly never get bored of rambling about him.
27.) Biggest surprise while creating art this year?
Honestly, the biggest surprise was just how sweet, supportive, and welcoming the Bob's Burgers community ended up being. Y'all welcomed me with open arms and supported all of my creative endeavors (and long analyses about Gene) and for that, I'll always be grateful. This community really does feel like one big family, and it's so lovely to see. Everyone is just so nice to each other, it warms my heart đ„č And one of my biggest surprises was learning about the Ship Weeks/Character Events, and how fun they are. They're truly a testament to how sweet and talented this community is. I'm definitely looking forward to them all next year if they happen again.
I just came up with an angsty headcanon that when Alexis was fairly young (like around early elementary school), they had a crush on this boy. Their parents had indirectly expressed disapproval of LGBTQ+ people, so they werenât going to go through with doing anything to express their crush. At least at first. And then they decided that they should take a chance and make a note on Valentineâs Day. So they did, and came up with a fake name that sounded vaguely feminine to cover their tracks.
The boy found out, and instead of getting excited as Alexis had hoped, the boy is disgusted and confused, and makes fun of the note, never finding out that Alexis was the sender. Itâs not completely the boyâs fault, as theyâre young and at that age where they say other people have âcootiesâ and all of that. And young kids just tend to be immature. He probably also just didnât have the emotional intelligence to react properly (maybe he was even on the Spectrum, making this even harder for him, but I donât want to inadvertently stereotype people on the Spectrum as being insensitive, even without meaning to).
But Alexis is devastated, and is hesitant to take that sort of chance with anyone again. So when they eventually work up the courage to give Gene secret notes (which takes a long time because they need to try to get past their own mental block and how theyâve been rejected in the past and how they donât want to bother anyone, even though this isnât really bothering anyone), they immediately expect Gene to reject them. Theyâve been burned before and want to get the pain over with. But imagine their surprise when Gene doesnât reject them, and things eventually end happily for the two. They kept having to ask Gene if he meant it when he said he enjoyed the notes. Gene doesnât mind saying he did multiple times, though âșïž
Do you have tutorial videos on how to draw like you do ?
Awww!! Omg, Iâm actually so honored that you want a tutorial from lilâ olâ me!! Iâve mentioned this before, but art wasnât my first medium of creativity, writing was, so Iâve always been a bit insecure about my art. Iâm definitely more confident in it now that Iâve had a lot of practice, but I still need to break out of that mindset of comparing myself to other artists, pffffffft.
I actually have a tutorial that I made for @babsvibes on how I do my coloring and lighting and shading that you can read here:
https://www.tumblr.com/goldendoodlerlockerlove/734849537728004096/all-right-because-babsvibes-asked-me-how-i?source=share
I donât have any tutorial videos, but I can also offer a bit of extra advice here. Just putting a pencil to paper can help a lot, especially if one is in art block. It can really help with pushing through that tough spot of feeling like you canât draw anything. Just getting anything sketched can really make a difference. Using actual paper to draw some things can really help you improve, thereâs just something about using a physical medium once in awhile that really gets the creative juices flowing.
Looking at other artistsâ work and supporting them can also go a long way for inspiration. I know for a fact that Iâm as good an artist as I am today because of all of the incredible artists Iâve gotten inspired from.
A couple other things I can say is that coloring your lineart, if you do lineart, can make a huge difference in making your art look nicer. And turning on stabilization was an absolute game-changer for me. It made making lineart so much faster and nicer.
I hope you found at least some of this helpful đ«¶đŒ Iâm not great at giving art advice, but I tried!! đ
Thank you all for an absolutely fantastic start to Geneuary yesterday!! All of the work was lovely and amazing, and I couldnât have asked for a better reception. I canât wait to see what yâall cook up nextâŁïž
The next day is Thursday, so keep an eye out for that!!
Doodler, youâre an artist who does Art Commissions, why do you keep getting Art Commissions from other peopleâ
Because it supports my fellow artists, who are some of my favorite people, and itâs so lovely seeing some of my OCs or just other characters be drawn in a style different from my own. Itâs such a joy to see.
I just canât help myself, I have a problem every time I see a new Comm sheet đ My brain is just like LET ME LOVE YOU, YOU AMAZING ARTIST.
I know I already said this, but ahhhhhhh, thank you all so much for making Geneuary so incredible so far!! I truly have no words to describe my happiness. The participation has been amazing!! I am so in awe right now of everyone in this fandom and their talent.
Shoutout to @dianadeadwing and @ratguy-nico for making my favorite Geneuary art so far (@ratguy-nico's art yesterday was too cute, omg), and @br1ghtestlight for making my favorite fic so far!! It was so cuteâŁïž(Psssst, the two of us are collaborating on a lil' something for the Robot/Jingle prompt, so look out for that đ)
Yesterday's prompt might have been my favorite so far, because of my gigantic love of mermaids. Yes, I had an actual mermaid phase when I was younger, and it was a huge one. I would actually take baths just so I could pretend to be a mermaid. It got to the point where my parents got me a doll that could go underwater and you could put either a bathing suit or a mermaid tail on her. It was so magical to my lil' child bambino brain đ„°
But I really just wanted to emphasize how impressed I am about the participation Geneuary has had. The journey to get here was difficult, especially with it being my first time running any sort of BB event, and Tumblr being an ass. But we got there!! And it's been so wonderful!! There have been so many people I didn't expect to participate who have, and it's just warmed my heart so very much <3
The next day is Sunday (Fashion/Secret!!) and I can't wait to see everyone's creativity come out again.
Currently thinking about how I wish the new cast of Hazbin Hotel made a song that was a companion to Thank You and Goodnight, except instead of saying goodbye, they were saying "Hello", and talking about how excited they were to take on the roles of these characters. I think that would be really cute.
I just saw the Mean Girls movie musical, and Reneé Rapp is so attractive, I was sweating.
I know this isn't footage from the movie musical, but there's no footage available for it yet because it's technically still in theaters. This is still Reneé Rapp, though, because she was briefly Regina George on Broadway before her run got cut short because of COVID.
