Work in progress- might continue on the horses and get them finished
Think I just finished this Highland Minis Questing knight, first of the bunch. I’m feeling pretty good about it!
I’m using Zandri dust as a primer, and as the only paint on the knights tunics (coats? Tabards?). I think that’s how it’s done for 40k imperial guard, that’s kinda where I got the idea for it.
Agrax Earthshade wash over everything to make them look all dirty like they spend all their time traveling around doing fetch quests.
Tonight’s Questing knights, a GW one this time. Think I’m happy with this one. Used some green stuff to stick the equipment to the horse, hope it holds. Didn’t have green stuff when I first painted him back in 2004, think I used gorilla glue. It did some unfortunate damage to this and a few other models.
2nd Questing Knight tonight! This one’s a Highland Minis model, maybe that’s why it got done faster. I find them generally easier to paint than the old games workshop models. Also the red and white i felt didn’t need anymore extra layers, not so for the last blue and black model.
One of my Stormcast Eternals for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. I never made enough for a large force, but plenty for some Warcry, which I've still never played. Used the old Bretonnian Knight head swap trick, now that I'm into 3D printing I'd probably just print heads tbh
Another Stormcast Knight, no crazy headpiece for this one. I'd love to paint more Stormcast but my painting queue is so long and I don't have a local group, feels almost like a waste
