First I wanted to say thank you to everyone who voted I never expected anyone to honestly like my stuff so this means a lot

And and now I'm going to reveal the character that I've been working on for this AU

I love your Trolls Hypnosis Au so far! Floyd is giving me Poison Ivy vibes! I'm guessing that Brozone in this au is evil as well of the rest of the trolls. How does Branch react to his brothers in this au?

In the beginning (because of a few spoiler things that I won't say just now) he looks up to his big brothers and will believe anything they tell him. He sees them as heroes and trusts them more than anybody else (at least for now)

But as the story progresses he starts to slowly realize that something was definitely off about his brother's behavior

And while he tries to give his brothers the benefit of the doubt he will inevitably find out their true nature, their true intentions… and what they've really been doing with their powers when he's not looking.

He'll essentially go through an internal conflict having to choose between believing in the brothers who could be lying to him or believe in his friends who might be hiding the truth

But I'll say it right now his brothers aren't the only ones Branch needs to be wary of

And as for his brothers they're Not entirely good but they're Not entirely evil either. They're possessive, crazy and very Very manipulative, but they do care about the trolls around them… just to a lesser extent (but at the same time it could be a lie)

But to be honest after everything they went through… can you really blame them

Any questions about Floyd or any of the other brothers I'll be willing to answer but it's not just them there's a boatload of characters that I cannot wait to get into so if you guys have any questions I'd be more than happy to see what you guys can come up with

I love this idea it's just too believable and too much fun

My favorite thing is how lowkey uncomfortable Branch's brothers look when they find out Branch highkey replaced them with a new band/found family after they left LOLOL

JD and Clay being quick to crack incredibly forced jokes to cover up the awkwardness of the situation ooo And you KNOW the Kismet trolls probably think so fucking lowly of all of them too if Branch confided in them over everything that happened throughout the years rrrrr I think the brothers would definitely take personal issue with particular members too uh ohh the girls are fightingg

and they know they have no right to be mad cause they are the ones who walked out and never came back but they're gonna be bitter anyway <333 i love troll drama

Who says the fun one can't be serious? He might look dazzling with all his crystals but do not get on his bad side… if you don't want him to learn your secrets that is… better keep your thoughts in check if you don't want them rummaged through… One Way or another and when he does so you're screwed

Even a heartthrob knows how to be in control. From making his fans swoon, to his fantastic dancing this handsome devil will always find a way to play with your heartstrings… resist him all you like but he'll ensnare your heart faster than you realize. Just don't say anything rude about his cooking or you're…dead meat

I did finish Clay's first that's why it's in this order

The scars on his face will actually be explained in the story but I wouldn't mind answering the question if anyone has it

Just like Floyd's The highlighted parts of their quotes (or my descriptions) give you hints as to what their powers are

But this time it also gives you hints of to their skills

Bruce was the first character I ever designed with partially closed eyes

(once I finish John Dory I plan on making a post explaining the brother's skills, and the skills are vitally important to why their powers have become the way they are and I'll actually reveal the names of their powers as well if you couldn't guess based off the photos)

I'm willing to answer any questions about the characters I've already posted about but if you have questions about other characters and I'm more than happy to answer those too. Also I don't think I made this clear my last character post but, these are basically like Posters. Their character designs will come after I finish Branches poster where you actually get a good shot of what they're wearing, rather than giving hints of their powers, (cuz that was the whole point of these posters just to have some fun with them). Design-wise I do have different outfits in mind for them

This is perfectly accurate not just to these brothers but to families in general no matter how many siblings they have a lot of families will find themselves in this kind of dynamic…

Alternate versions of Creek are fine but cannon Creek can die in a fire

So... I didn't think I'd be engaging in Trolls discourse, but I crave violence so here we go. I recently saw a claim that what Brozone did was worse than what Creek did and I??

Listen. What John Dory, Bruce, Clay, and Floyd was shitty. Undoubtedly. No one is ever going to refute that.

But Creek?? Let's recap for a minute. Creek:

Sacrificed his entire village to be eaten alive (didn't just sell them out either, he actively lured and deceived the entire village out of hiding)

Knew and took advantage of the fact that Poppy would try to rescue him

Refused to take accountability or show any remorse or guilt

Taunted Poppy and added insult to injury

Brozone walking out on Branch is literally nothing compared to that.

(And again, yes this was shitty but they a) were his brothers- and kids themselves- not his parents and b) didn't leave him alone, they left him with a guardian. And John Dory also went back for him, he couldn't have known they had escaped. He thought Branch was dead. JD at the very least didn't abandon him, he was always going to go back)

If Creek had shown remorse or guilt for his actions, that would be different. That would make what he did understandable (not okay, but understandable). But he not only doubled down, he went out of his way to be callous about it. He's not terrible because he did a bad thing, he's terrible because of his attitude towards the bad thing he did.

(Even in TBGO where he was "redeemed," he never really shows remorse and is forgiven anyway. He did nothing to change and still got everything he wanted)

Creek was always a manipulative, condescending, and narcissistic jerk, he just didn't need to show it until then. And in a movie where the whole theme is "true colors," I'm pretty sure the implication is that that's his true self. It wasn't just because his life was in danger, he was always a nasty person.

(You can even see it during his actions earlier in the movie. Where the Snack Pack were genuinely just frustrated/annoyed with Branch, Creek was the only one who went out of his way to taunt him. Where Cooper asks if Poppy's sure she wants to invite Branch, Creek tells her to ignore him. Even when the SP is kidnapped, Creek grabs Poppy's hair where Branch intertwines his hair and Poppy's later in the movie)

Listen, if you like Creek, good for you. You're allowed to. And the stuff you guys do with him is creative and interesting. Keep at it.

But please, don't ever lie to my face like that again

Love this Au. I found it after I started working on mine, but man is it creepy and somehow the fans know how to make it creepier

Basically, Branch was turned into a Pop Zombie a few weeks after the trolls escaped Bergen Town "in hopes of helping him regain his colors and love for music" as a certain Monarch would suggest...

Bonus:

First things first I love this story possessive brozone Au is one of my favorite stories to read, it's one of the things I gave me inspiration to write my story

I love this idea so much especially since in my story his brothers have been treating him like this from the very beginning and he never questions it.

How far are Branch's bros gonna baby him, or make him act like a child? Are they gonna make him be forced fed like a toddler? Or make him drink from a bottle? Just curious.

I think the term I'm looking for is Infantilization?, but yes, although I don't think it would go to an extreme like I don't know (force him to eat in a bottle again, although it depends I guess)

They would start small (before they managed to isolate him), like if Branch gets hurt in the kitchen or with one of his machines one of the brothers (Floyd or John Dory who are always watching) would take charge of healing his wound, whether it was just a small cut or something bigger, and subtly begin to comfort him, and little by little that comfort would become more of a talk to calm a child, something like "Hey bro, you need to be more careful" or "You need to pay more attention Branch" to turn to something else "Aw what happened little friend?, did you get hurt?, is it okay your big brother is going to cure that bubu" or "it's okay your big brother is here and he will make you feel better"

It would get scary for Branch at some point because, well, they cut off his food and when he refuses to eat JD always sits next to him and force-feeds him, and it's humiliating for Branch even though it's just him and his brothers, Floyd always tries to feed him, which only annoys Branch more since he also does it a little bit in public.

Something I'm sure they would do would be to comb it (or trolls groom themselves??, they have fur so they do that?) and I understand a bit that a Troll is in charge of keeping their hair taken care of themselves because it is something private, only the children ask for help from their parents or high trust adukto to take care of their hair and that the brothers do it without leaving Branch any option is (traumatic?) hurtful and the Scares.

Because it makes him realize that his siblings only see him as a baby who can't take care of himself.

Branch being put back on the pacifier train huh I think I just found a new fan art idea

YES!!!

You know, clearly Branch apparently had an addiction to pacifiers, a very big one, and after the "relapse" during the chase, so maybe not so fast, they could leave pacifiers in the bunker until temptation gets the better of Branch and he ends up using one of the pacifiers.

I can see the brothers put one on him while he sleeps just so that when he's awake he has that need to have the pacifier again, because even though he's asleep (drugged to sleep) he uses it and it helps him sleep more.

And they do have pictures, but Branch will never find them (and a silly thing is that they bought a pacifier of each other's color, and they use them to see who is the favorite, I know that Branch never uses them and prefers a blue one)

Looks like our darling leader couldn't wait any longer to introduce himself

John Dory

Whether it's the leader of brozone, or the sole proprietor of his family, John Dory will do anything in his power to protect the ones he loves. His songs are quite lovely don't you think as soon as they come out of his mouth it almost feels like you'd be willing to do ANYTHING he asks nobody ever questions it… not even his own family but why… why is it that when he asks you… or demands something of you you can't seem to remember after you're done… how strange

Trivia time

Take a guess on what that mask in front of his face represents

He's going to be one of the more dangerous characters of my story

Just like his brothers he's not completely good but he's not completely evil either

Has a massive rivalry with hype from kensit mainly because they're both leaders of their bands and they have different opinions on how they should take care of branch

I can't wait to start writing about his power it's one of the more difficult to pin down

Does Branch live his brothers or does he live in his bunker in your au? Or maybe they all live in the bunker?

I've been thinking about this question for a while so it's about time I answered

I've been wanting to draw this idea for a good long time. Branch does indeed have a bunker but it's actually two bunkers: one for his brothers and him and the other is for his other band Kimset, they didn't know that Brozone had already made a bunker because they only saw them in a treehouse a home that they made separate from the PODS of Pop village

This sounds like the worst case scenario and a horrifying idea and I love it just the mere idea of Branch slowly giving in and he doesn't even realize it or he does but doesn't know what to do about it there's just so many cool ideas you could come up with with this

What if Branch just, gives in. Like he just accepts his brothers antics and manipulation. He also starts to distance between him and the Snack Pack, especially Poppy.

What would they think? What would they think that Branch wouldn’t even talk to them, I especially wanna know what would Poppy think

They are confused at first, but later believe that he is doing it to make up for time with his brothers, but when Branch ignores them and they stay away, they become worried.

Poppy tries to talk to him, but one of the brothers is always around, so they never get anywhere, and when John Dory tells them to stay away from Branch, they realize that they probably made a mistake by ignoring Branch's concerns and Creek.

So when they ask others for help, there's not much to do, Brozone disappeared, and not even Branch and Creek are in Pop Vigalle.

I came up with a similar head Cannon for shadow house if Shirley ever did this to Rum, but it sounds scarier coming from this perspective… I love it

(I mean who wouldn't want to be treated like a dress up doll)

I don't know why I think the brothers would mess with Branch's clothes, how they look at his wardrobe and say no, no, no.

I feel like they would try to make Branch wear something like their styles of dress or slightly embarrassing things just to treat him like a child they could disguise to their liking.

(In the case of Possessive Brozone, in case we manage to isolate him from the others I imagine I would almost turn him into a living doll, just to dress him up and treat him like a baby)

I have a lot more ideas for the troll strings and the world building of this world I just wish more people would ask questions cuz I can't answer those questions if you never ask

When it comes to my trolls hypnosis AU (or mind manipulation whatever you want to call it) I'd love to talk about it some more and while it is been a bit tricky to write my fan think about it cuz you know School I'd love to hear more people ask questions I'm always excited to answer them

Yes, I am I've just been busy with school it's hard to write one you have a lot of school work to do

God I love this breakdown I didn't even know about the holiday special until I saw this post I didn't know that happened in the holiday special where he thought poppy was going to say something like that this explains way too much

So, I experienced some deju vu during this scene in Trolls Band Together:

John Dory grabs his backpack, says he's leaving (I'm done, YOLO, etc.), and then the last thing he says is "Goodbye Forever!", followed by Branch's distraught face, and the next thing Branch knows, all his brothers have left him and he never sees them again.

I was trying to figure out why that little snippet stuck with me, then it hit me:

Trolls Holiday in Harmony, when Branch is trying to figure out a gift for Poppy. He's worried about doing the wrong thing, disappointing her or freaking her out, and says "I CAN'T let that happen". He illustrates his point with Poppy packing a suitcase, and what does she say right before she runs off?

Really brings his abandonment issues into the light😢

I've seen a few comments of people being annoyed when Branch said to Poppy "aren't you going to leave me anyway", but they clearly don't understand how trauma affects people's mental and emotional state.

He knows Poppy loves him and doesn't actually believe she'd leave, but after a lifetime of being alone, even though he's happy and loved now, there's still that subconscious fear that he'll end up alone again. Poppy means everything to him, and he can't bear the thought of losing her too, especially as a result of something he's done (his grandma died to save him, and he believed his brothers leaving was his fault because he 'ruined everything' at the concert).

Sometimes this results in Branch trying to push Poppy away, which seems conflicting, yes, but again: trauma messes with your mind. He was already heartbroken and angry at his brothers, so he wasn't thinking clearly and blurted out his hidden main fear.

And when he says "everyone else [leaves me]" I hear "everyone in my life has left me so I must deserve to be alone, so you might as well leave me too."

And that's probably why Branch was so hesitant to be open with Poppy - 1. I might scare her away, and 2. why bother expressing my feelings to someone when I'll likely just lose them anyway. Plus he's still getting used to having someone to confide to in his life. Keeping emotions bottled up for years is a hard habit to get out of.

I found it quite interesting when Viva referred brozone as that family. Will it play a significant part in ur au lore? And will branch begin to take notice how the trolls respond or interact with his big brothers?

Or how viva and peppy observe how poppy introduces herself to branch?

Or how branch's brothers actually take notice of how he's is "immune" to their gifts?

Or how exactly does Au Lore truly begin?

I'm so happy I make one chapter just for fun I didn't expect to get a question so I'm so happy you're asking all this and don't worry I ramble too

And let's just say there's always going to be lore hidden somewhere within each of these chapters you just got to find it, some of them will be a bit more lore heavy than others but I will always try my hardest to put small clues into each chapter when it comes to the lore

Anyway here are the answers to some of these questions

When it comes to Viva referring to Branch's family as "that family" that is going to be important because of the dynamic between her and Poppy vs branch and his brothers, (specifically for her Arc) She finds their relationship very sweet because she fails to notice the toxicity of her relationship with Poppy and the relationship between the brozone Bros. (I mean why would she notice it she's friends with Clay after all they have very similar mindsets)

Branch doesn't notice how people react to his brothers just yet because we're still in his childhood phase but he will notice it as he gets older and reminisces about the past

Ask for how trolls interact with the brozone Bros let's just say I have a few fun ideas for how brozone uses their power on the tribe before they leave (cuz currently they're still inside the troll tree)

Viva and Pepe will be there when Poppy finally gets a chance to talk to branch but that doesn't mean that she won't feel uncomfortable with having her family watching them (one cares about Branch, the other one obsessively thinks he's adorable, and Poppy just wants a friend)

As for Branch being immune to viva's power that's actually a point in the story that I want to dive into a little more, because Poppy and Viva have very similar powers however the way that they use them will be different thanks to branches influence. Viva's power is specifically to Make Trolls Happy which can be a good thing but at the same time can be seen as a toxic trait similar to toxic positivity, Poppy's power on the other hand is a bit different but I'm going to keep it a secret for now

At first Brozone genuinely don't even realize when branch is being immune to their powers because their baby brother is so innocent and sweethearted how could they notice, it's only when other trolls Powers don't work on him do they realize something's up (on the other hand, trolls who are better at observing others like their grandma, Poppy, and Creek for example do notice something up with Branch whenever it comes to their powers they just choose not to say anything because it's not hurting anyone, and because of their own personal curiosity)

Here's a little bit of my own info dump

So when brozone does find out about branches little immunity to other powers at first they're shocked and genuinely don't believe Viva when she tells them at first but when it starts to affect their lives that's when they see this as a problem, but rather than blaming Viva for it they actually ask her how in the world did it happen did they trigger this, to figure out how they can work around it not realizing that they can't

Branch being immune to other people's powers isn't a superpower that he has (remember branch is the only one born without powers even those that negate other trolls Powers he doesn't have that), it's just Branch showing his true colors in his own way without even realizing it. I plan on explaining it in a future post and in the story

I plan on explaining viva's power a bit more in the story itself alongside the bro zone Powers and a few other characters who play an important role in Branch's story

Ask for King Pepe well he's not a terrible father I'm just going to make this clear now but he does have his moments of being not the best, for clarification when he tries his hardest to be a good dad he ends up failing one of his kingly duties but when he tries to be a good King he ends up failing as a father and unfortunately he can't seem to find a good work around and it's not exactly his fault I mean anyone would struggle to be a good dad and a good King in his position

This is too believable to the cannon movies… I love it

So sorry I made you think I was a hacker (even though I only left a comment on a post.) I have no information on you except the fact that you writing this fic. As I asked in the comments before, how would brozone react if branch went toe to toe with a dangerous wild animal and killed it in front of them? I REALLY NEED TO KNOW HOW THIS WOULD GO.

I'm sorry if I can't reply to your comment on another post, for some reason Tumblr won't let me, I try and it tells me I can't, so yes, if you have something to say, I can read you in the comments, but maybe you can write it in the questions or in some private message, because I can't answer.

It's just that your comment took me by surprise, because it was planned in a future chapter to make Branch violent, because you can't tell me that for two those years Branch didn't kill at least 1 creature 5 times his size or more, he's a survivor, at least I think he carries a hunter's knife just for protection.

But I'll gladly answer your question!

Ok this isn't part of the story, but it's (haha) canon in it.

So the brothers go camping, John Dory's idea, as a signature to get Branch away from his friends and spend more time among brothers, of course it ends with Branch sitting bored all the time while his brothers do the rest at camp.

Branch wants to check the area and see that everything is safe, nope, that's Clay's job; Branch wants to make the food for everything, double not, that's Bruce's job; Branch wants to see if there's no predator around, don't even think about it, that's John Dory's job.

Floyd's job is to keep Branch entertained and happily minded sitting on a log, waiting for the others to finish so they can all have fun together (and if JD took photograph instead of guarding the place, it's a secret that the others will take to the grave).

So he was having lunch or dinner, it was already dark and JD thought it would be funny vs. horror story to scare Branch (but Floyd and Clay ended up scared because Branch has nerves of steel and refused to scream when Bruce jokingly scared them, although Branch did have a mini cardiac arrest because of it), They were having fun.

Of course I wasn't.

John Dory didn't check the place properly, neither did Clay, so with all the screaming and the fire and the smell of the food, he found something very big, very big.

John Dory tried to push the creature away, but failed, he kept his brothers behind him, but out of the corner of their eye the brothers only saw a blue, black and green blur pass at full speed by their side directly at the animal.

Blood, a cry of anger and pain, none of the brothers really knew what happened, but the next moment Branch is standing on the carcass of the animal, with an axe in his hand and panting from the effort.

"Are you okay!?" Branch wiped the blood off the animal, and as the brothers looked at him, astonished, frightened? Terrified? (I chewed nothing for Branch's safety, but Branch is fine just small scratch and bruises, but nothing serious)

Although Branch was more concerned about knowing if his brother was okay, each brother was having a mental breakdown, Floyd was holding Branch, a suffocating hug from which Branch could not let go, Bruce checked that his little brother was not seriously injured despite not seeing anything he was still looking with Clay who cleaned up the blood he could from Branch.

John Dory, on the other hand, stayed behind his brothers watching them take care of Branch (who was quiet trying to calm them down), just staring blankly, he felt sick, HIS LITTLE BROTHER SHOULDN'T KNOW HOW TO KILL THINGS, HE'S A BABY, HE'S INNOCENT, HE'S FRAGILE, HE'S WEAK.

John Dory can only think of how to deal with it.
