a/n: ok this took me way over an hour..

slowly closing the front door, you kick off your shoes and throw your bag on the floor. this week has been absolutely exhausting, full of sleepless nights and exams. your stress level was through the roof and you didn't even remember the last time you slept more than 20 minutes.

the driveway was empty, sign that your parents left to go on vacation as they told you a few weeks ago. yet, the house was nothing but silent. the sound of the washing machine and the pots on the stove were muffled by your favourite songs around the house, the sound of dishes being washed still loud enough.

you felt tears filling up your eyes as the smell of your favourite dish entered your nose. this week you just felt alone. your parents were busy with their jobs and now their vacation, your friends were busy with their exams and you had nothing to do but study so you could pass your own.

making your way to the kitchen, you smiled softly when you saw the only person who could make you feel better dancing around while doing the dishes. your boyfriend, jimin. his back was facing you as he was washing dishes, an apron wrapped over his shirt and joggers.

he put the last bowl down on the drying rack and turned off the water after washing his hands one last time. jimin turned around and flinched when he saw you, a small gasp leaving his pink lips “damn love, you sca-'' he suddenly stopped, his bright smile dropping at the sight of your wet cheeks and red eyes

''why are you crying ? is everything ok ?" a look of worry took over his face as he made his way over to you, engulfing you in a tight hug as your dam broke, soft sobs escaping your lips as your hands gripped the back of his shirt.

your knees gave up and you both of you softly collapsed on the kitchen floor, your weight being supported by jimin. one of his hands was wrapped around your waist and the other was behind your head, playing with your hair as you nuzzled your head in his neck while breathing his cologne.

he always had this thing in him. the way his cologne or body wash smelled whenever you would nuzzle your head in his neck or chest, the way he engulfed you in warmness whenever he would cuddle or hug you, the way he took care of you every day, making sure you eat and sleep properly and always made sure you knew how much he loved you. no matter where you were or what you were doing, as long as you were with him you felt at home.

when your sobs finally tuned to occasional sniffs he pulled away, his hands immediately finding your cheeks and wiping your tears away. ''what happened love ?" he asked slowly, like you were made out of porcelain and he was scared to break you.

you looked into his eyes to reassure him that you were ok ''i was so stressed with all the exams and seeing all of this made me realise i'm so grateful to have you minnie. i love you so much" you said, covering his hands with yours and smiling.

his face turned into a wide grin before he pressed his lips on yours ''i love you more. but come on now, let's eat and sleep. i know you're tired'' he said, helping you up.

a/n: i'm so sorry this took so long but school has been beating my ass 😭 in the weekend i'm probably post something so 👀

you hated online classes. the interrupted sound and the pixelated images, having to wake up earlier than usual for some classes and all the connection problems. the only thing that was keeping you sane through all of this was your boyfriend - jungkook.

when covid hit, you both decided to quarantine yourself together at his house, wanting to spend all the free time together. you yawn for the nth time before looking at yourself in the corner of your boyfriends monitor. a figure walking behind you catches your eye and you quickly turn around to see your boyfriend looking shocked at you, a worried and regretful look on his face.

he quickly gazes at the monitor, making sure you were muted before his wide eyes look back into yours "shit. i'm so sorry my love, i didn't realise your camera was on" he whispers. your gaze softens at the sight of his worried face "it's okay koo, don't worry" you whisper back. you turn to your lecture again to see some of your classmates' eyes wide, shock evident on their faces "shit" you silently curse. you forgot that some of them were ARMYs.

you look at jungkook, who was in the kitchen, before looking back at your notes. as the teacher announces the homework, signalling the end of the class, you hear your phone buzz. "let's hang out in the meet after the teacher leaves" one of your classmates' texts in the class group chat. you notice some classmates sending in thumbs-ups, so you do too "i should socialise with other people rather than only koo and bam" you chuckle.

like he was reading your mind, the doberman walks over and plops down by your feet, his head resting on the fluffy blanket that laid in your lap - one that your boyfriend made sure you weren't missing, muttering something about the coldness in his house and you wearing shorts. you pet bam's head as you watch your teacher leave the meeting after bidding everyone goodbye.

turning back to jungkook, you watch him for a few as he makes lunch for the both of you "hey koo, i'm gonna stay with my classmates for a few more minutes, just tell me when lunch is ready, okay? " you smile when he nods, his cute pout making you giggle.

you put your headphones back on and turn on your mic, saying a quick greeting before one of the girls in your class interrupts you, a fake smile on her face "hey y/n! how are you? "she asks, but before you can answer she interrupted you again "why did you never tell us that you knew jungkookie oppa? is he as hot as everyone says?" she giggles and some of the others join her "you know, when all this online thing finishes we should all go out sometime, you should bring him too." someone else exclaims before the rest of your classmates join in to agree.

you feel tears well up in your eyes. how come they never even really talked to you until now? before anyone can say anything else you exit the call, trying to stop the tears from flowing down your cheeks. you close the computer and hurry to the bedroom, trying to suppress a cry. closing the door, you sit down on the bed and finally let the tears fall.

you couldn't understand why you were feeling like this. shouldn't you be happy that they want to hang out with you? shouldn't you be happy that jungkook gets recognised? your thoughts get interrupted by a knock on the door and jungkook pocking his head with a frown evident on his face. "baby? what happened ?" he rushes to you when he sees the tears on your face.

kneeling down in front of you, he cradles your face in his hands and wipes the tears off your red cheeks. you shake your head, embarrassed to tell him you're crying over something so stupid. seeing the frown on his face you sigh, looking down at your lap "some of my classmates who never even talked to me before suddenly wanted to hang out after they saw you.

i don't know, it just made me feel bad. i'm sorry, i know it's childish-" he cuts you off before you could even finish, lifting your head so you could look him in the eyes again "first of all, it's not childish, and second, don't you dare apologise. it's not your fault. just ignore them okay?" he whispers as he gets up and pulls you in bed with him, throwing your favourite fluffy blanket on your bodies.

his warm hands wipe the new tears from your face before he presses a sweet kiss on the tip of your nose. "they don't deserve your tears" he smiles, wrapping his arms around you to protect you from the chilly air in his house. he pulls the blanket further on your shoulder and starts tracing thoughtless patterns on your waist.

his free hand pushes your head further into the crook of his neck before playing with your hair. your bodies were like puzzle pieces, fitted perfectly together under the fluffy blanket.

he presses short and sweet kisses all over your face, before pressing a final one on your lips "i love you" he whispers. you smile softly and nuzzle further in his chest "i love you too bunny" you mutter before the both of you fall into a slumber, lunch long forgotten on the kitchen counter.

you look at the closed door before throwing the blanket off of you. since the others had some things to do, you were left alone at home with taehyung and jungkook. the boys were in their shared room when your stomach decided that it was craving cookies. you got up from the couch -where you were catching up on a show - and sneaked into the kitchen, trying not to make too much noise.

opening the snacks cupboard, you took out the pack of cookies, sitting up on the counter while eating the few ones left. you threw away the wrapper and made sure to get rid of all of the crumbs before hurrying back into the soft blankets on the couch. a few hours flew by before the noise from the boy's room turned slightly down, the sound of the door opening echoing through the hallway before footsteps were heard.

you didn’t raise your eyes from the TV, but you could tell the two boys were walking to the kitchen. you heard the sound of the snack cupboard opening and a few seconds later, two dramatic and exaggerated gasps. the sound of hurried steps caught your attention “hyung ! where are our cookies ?” jungkook asked as they both jumped in front of the TV.

frowning, you pretend to not know what they’re talking about while trying to not laugh ‘’what are you talking about ?” getting even more frustrated, their faces turn into angry pouts ‘’we left some cookies in the cupboard earlier but now they’re gone !” tae exclaims as you pretend to scratch your nose, covering a light giggle.

unfortunately, jungkook catches on that and points a finger at you, the pout more evident on his face “you ate them ! you’re laughing” he yells. before you can realise what’s happening, you feel someone push you onto the couch and two hands tickling your sides. “why did you eat them ?! how could you ?!” taehyung dramatically yells as his hands keep tickling your sides, tears from laughter filling up your eyes.

“you better buy us more !” he yells again, both boys joining you in laughter. you nod your head repeatedly as you try to push him away. after making sure that you’ve learned your lesson, tae finally stops and the two boys collapse on you, resuming the show you were previously watching.

namjoon is definitely the best friend who would enjoy just reading in the same vicinity as you while you do your own hobbies <3 he likes to think of it as bonding, and honestly quality time to him would be one of his discreet love languages towards you without him actually giving away his feelings.. he particularly loves it when you lay your head on his lap and take a nap while he reads.. but the second he hears that soft snore of yours, be sure to know he isn't reading anymore. instead he has his hands tangling in your hair, scratching your scalp soothingly as you slept. these vulnerable moments of yours where he knows you arent listening are the moments where he does confess his love, whether through the small actions of kissing your forehead or rambling under his breath how fucking beautiful and amazing you are.

for seokjin, it would be so so obvious that he's in love with you... to the point where it becomes not obvious, if you know what i mean. he plays around with you jokingly, teasing you so much that the both of you end up in fits of laughter. he definitely isnt afraid to speak his mind about how beautiful you look on a certain day, but of course you take it as him being extra nice and extra friendly that day. i think eventually it would get somewhat frustrating with you not taking any of his hints and how oblivious you are to how much he clearly likes you. and it probably takes the other members to talk to you about it for you to even get a hint of jin liking you. it would get to the point where he truly believed you didn't see him in that way and it would honestly crush his heart :< but once you do make that connection, the two of you would be a blushing mess

on the contrary, i think yoongi would hide his feelings as much as he can <3 opting to be your friend for a lifetime rather than ruin a perfectly good friendship for something that might not even be true love (on your side). being by your side even if it means waking up at near dawn, being the shoulder you could cry on no matter the situation because he is the most non-judgmental person ever. he doesn’t share his feelings for you with anyone either.. he knows your mutual friends always look at you both like you already were a couple, but with one mention from your lip that you’re seeing someone can bring those assumptions down real quick. and he’s as supportive as he could be. despite his feelings for you growing with every second that passes, he supports you. and it’s with that support that you end up falling for him too

hoseok knows how to read a room, and knows when it is appropriate to show his affection for you. and that is definitely not in public. his hands wrapped around your waist as he whines about how sleepy he is one night while over at your place makes you question what the two of you even are. sneaky glances and subtle touches in public, but long caresses and chaste kisses to your forehead and cheeks— anywhere but your lips, really. the lines between friend and lover begins to blur and it becomes really hard for the two of you to just classify each other as best friends.. but lovers isn’t appropriate either..? the both of you falling for each other in secret is a complicated and long process, and neither of you really know how to be sure of it or ask the other.. just flirtatious moments while alone and more subtle ones in public <3

i feel for jimin, he really knows how to love really deeply. he’d fall first and definitely fast, especially with a friend he really cares about. it hurts him in the beginning because how does he tell the one person that’s precious to him about his feelings? but he learns to accept your friendship for how it is and kind of just lives and loves in the moment and tries not to worry about whatever he has going on internally, even if it’s not a good way to cope. because of this, his feelings would be more obvious as times go on.. instead of hiding his feelings like he thought he was, he was showcasing them. subtly enough to leave you questioning, but obvious enough to make your heart flutter. buying you food and flowers without you even asking, giving you random hugs and immediately cuddling you when you want some affection :( just a puppy boyfriend-not-so-boyfriend, following you around everywhere like you’re his world

taehyung, as romantic as he would be with his actual lover, he’d be as platonic as he possibly could with his friends. inviting you out to eat or to hang out like normal, but one night specifically makes him widen his eyes and view you so differently. he doesn’t know if it was the beer, or maybe the way you tilt your head while you smile, or the way your eyes sparkle in the moonlight. what starts off as a nice catch up at both of your favorite local bar ends up being the night he fell in love. getting you home safely and laying in bed.. trying to sleep, but he can’t— images of you flood his mind and he begins to revisit every single memory that he has with you, now viewing it with such a different perspective that he begins to feel those feelings as he sobers up. texting you probably after a week of being unable to handle not seeing you, wondering if you’d make your next hangout a date instead <3

i like to think that jungkook would love easily as well. it would be hard for him to truly open up to someone, but once it gets there, it’s like he can’t stop. he adores being able to be vulnerable with someone who cares for him as much as he cares for them. he would love easily at that point, falling for the vulnerable and raw you more so than the way you want others to perceive you. being his best friend would open up so many doors to self love and healing that your heart begins to open up for him too. he would call you over to his place, maybe to build a mew lego set or to watch a film in your pajamas, but it leads to the both of you facing each other on the bed, having one of your late night deep conversations. his hand caressing your cheek as you open up about stress to him, his small whispers of admiration and strength as you calm down.. giving you a small peck on the lips towards the end, to which you go back in for more <3
