Planning my next date night with Burnie...not that it's serious! It's not! We've just been on two or three so far..

Absolutely my good cheesecake!
He's a tall brunette with a mustache, and he's a firefighter! (Don't tell the other officers!) He's very confident, and quick on his feet, and he's always down for some fun! He likes bowling, and superhero movies, and eats hot dogs faster then anyone else I know!
He's also quite strong, and has a strong sense of humor, And, he's understanding of the fact sometimes things come up suddenly, he's a first responder-he gets it! Not everyone does, you know.
He gets along well with Rover too!
He, uh, doesn't know everything about me yet, I'm not sure how to broach certain topics, exactly. He knows I was off work for a bit, but I'm not sure how to explain why, and I'm sure it'll come up....
Prosecutor Blackquill has been so touchy since I mentioned Burnie was coming over tonight, Im not sure where it's coming from....
Any ideas?

may I recommend you send off that one person with a quick Iaijutsu slice. It worked with Cosmos-dono whenever he yelled at me for a malfunctioning robot

Am I doing the right thing, acknowledging your presence? Although, if you aren't real you can not answer that.
Mm. I may take your advice regardless. Fool-Bright would be even more cross with me, though. Annoyance be damned, the man may simply need to be permitted.
They plan to have him stay the night this coming weekend, though I'm against it. Fool-Bright says it was his apartment first, and I've no right to tell them to shove off.

"he's.... fine. Loud. Self-aggrandizing. Smells like ashes. Could probably bench the weight of his firetruck, which I'm certain drew Fool-Bright to him to begin with. Rover loves him, or so I'm told.
What does it matter? Fool-Bright is head over heels it would seem. He's been spending all his time with the man, I'm sure they'll be very happy.

What are you even talking about, seeing things I should not have seen?
I am envious of the time Fulbright spends with Burnie, yes, fine. I can admit I miss time spent with a friend.
But an obsession?
Why, because you think I have feelings? Because I was rude to him the one time we met? Because I noticed things? I'm fairly observant, and I noticed things that only require meeting a man once. Are you obsessed because you listened to Fulbright ramble? Then why should I be?
I admit I do not have the easiest time communicating, nor a great many friends. But while you have proven that I am close with Fulbright, you equate that with obsession. A misstep on your end, not mine.
Your assessment is wrong. Burnie is coming to spend the night with Fulbright, and I will be going to spend time with Athena. I will apologize in the morning.

Ah, he's ticked off 'cause Fulbright's spending all his time with his new boyfriend, and Simon feels left out.
He's not really sure how he feels about Fulbright either, but I don't think he's ready to talk about that yet, ya'know?

Time: 3:28, friday night
*the phone rings, Simon stirs from his slumber on a pull out bed, rubbing sleep from his eyes. recognizing the number, he flips the phone open, bringing it to his face. nearby, Athena shifts in her sleeping bag, but does not wake.*
"Fulbright?"
the voice on the other end is fuzzy, panicked, and not Fulbright's.
"He's freaking out I don't know what to do-"
Simon sits bolt upright, his heart in his chest.
"You're his roommate, right? is this normal?? what do I do???"
Simon wakes Athena, and grabs his boots.
"We have to go"
Time: 3:56 Friday night. Two hours until dawn.
Simon practically ran to the flat's door, fumbling with his keys as Athena jogged up behind him. The door creaked open, and Simon crossed through, not bothering to flick the light on. Taka screeched as they turned the corner together, hearing the man before Simon could see him.
"AGH!"
One Burnard House, pressed against Fulbright's door, greeted them.
"you scared me, I-I mean, he's in his room, he wouldn't stop yelling, I don't think he knows who I am..woke me from a dead sleep, I didnt know left from right. Thought I had to suit up and go to work."
Simon nodded, and cracked the door just enough to glance inward. Fulbright was still on the bed, curled in a tight ball, illuminated by the nightlight on his bedstand. f he noticed the door opening, Simon couldn't tell.
Beside Simon, Burnie spoke.
"He mentioned something bad happened to him, said it was effecting his work. Is this related...?"
"Yes."
"What happened?"
Simon paused a moment, "He hasnt told you?"
Burnie shook his head.
"It seemed like a touchy subject, figured I'd find out if it was important for me to know. Didn't figure it would come up now."
Simon sighed, and slipped in.
