thinking about andre having a tan line from his stupid little sunglasses and one day he wears them to track practice and gets a really bad sunburn … from then on cal doesn’t let andre go to any practices or meets without allowing cal to put some sunscreen on his face even though andre gripes the entire time

andre going to germany for a week every summer to see family and cal not being able to go. andre brings cal back an “i ❤️ germany” shirt as a joke but cal wears it everywhere. he sleeps in it, he goes to school in it, he hangs out in it—andre can’t escape it

the way cal said “take me to andre’s please” so casually in the limo scene… everyone started to make fun of him, saying things like “oh, yeah, because everyone knows where andre’s is.” cal seemed slightly confused by this. the idea that not everyone loved andre as much as him hit him hard. andre’s house wasn’t just a friends house; it was his own as well.

also, the fact that he didn’t have to go to andre’s house. they didn’t film the final words until a couple days later. he simply didn’t want to spend the rest of the night without andre. he was stressed, and andre was his outlet.
