So Jaken is actually a dog demon?

I learned something that further proves that Sunrise is unoriginal. The names of the demon slayers are number based (one kanji is a number): Gorō (五郎) (五=5) Rokuta (六田) (六=6) Nanasuke (七助) (七=7) Yamata (八股) (八=8) Kuzu (九頭) (九=9) And the reason why it’s unoriginal is because it was already used in “Maison Ikkoku” (Rumiko Takahashi‘s second major manga work):

Couldn’t they be more original and come up with names that relate to something? There’s one short story by Takahashi called “In Lieu of Thanks” in which the characters’ names are puns on bird names: Kobato (小鳩) (鳩=Pigeon) Shiratori (白鳥) (白鳥=Swan) Ukai (鵜飼) (鵜=Cormorant) Kamoshita (鴨下) (鴨=Duck) And a bird named Kyū is involved and the name of the mansion in which the story takes place is Toriai (鳥合 = Meeting of Birds). Now that’s original and interesting. Seriously, Sunrise...

So Miroku knew the daughter of his best friends was still around and that’s all he has to say when he finally contacts her after all this time?

Trashahime really is a dumb animated fanfic. Sunrise was obviously not willing to risk Moroha outshining the wonderbread twins even with just one scene of Miroku and Sango getting emotional to see their best friends’ daughter, and consequently didn’t think of what would be consistent. And so, it truly can hardly be how the story of Inuyasha “officially” continues, and no one is under any obligation to accept it.

The one drawing the manga version, Takashi Shiina had tweeted:

And not even Rumiko Takahashi opposed those tweets certainly because they were valid.

Inuyasha originally ended for good in 2008 and Takahashi never planned a sequel, as she tends to just move to another manga, leaving the fans to make their own headcanons/fanfictions/fanarts of how it would continue.

It was the anime producer Suwa Michihiko who, about 10 years after it ended, unreasonably demanded a continuation and rather than trying to come up with something that most fans would most likely be ok with like they claimed, the Sunrise staff took the liberty of writing something that would fit their own biases, not really taking into consideration the fandom.

Which is why it’s technically Sunrise’s own vision of the future and no one is under any obligation to accept it as how Inuyasha “officially” continues and drop or modify their own visions of the future.

And even if Takahashi was involved anyhow and were to say anything like she approves Trashahime as how Inuyasha continues, you don’t seriously imagine her demanding everyone to consider Trashahime and Sessrin as canon. And if she was actually that kind of person, well it’s not correct for an author who works to please readers to impose something that is not to the liking of those who loved her original work and it also wouldn’t be smart because she’d lose the support and respect of many of her fans.

Either way, with all the absurdities and inconsistencies it features, it can in fact hardly work as how Inuyasha continues, and after the last episode airs, this abomination will go down the memory hole.

So the Disco Ball problem just ended, and now it moves on to the Inukagmor problem. And...

Judging from the new trailer and the few things left to be dealt with, the end might be near.

Even so...

After a most satisfying conclusion to the original story, to have Inuyasha and Kagome imprisoned in the border of the afterlife for about 14 years (a secluded place above all, where they must be bored to death), depriving them of the chance to raise their child who is sold off by her teacher to pay off her debt and literally becomes a slave struggling to pay for her freedom, and to waste such an amazing character with a great look and great abilities by treating her as comedic relief and frequently shunting her in favor of Towa and Setsuna, despite the three of them having been framed as a trio… The Sunrise staff didn’t think it would be a massive bummer for those who were satisfied with the end of the original story to see the original protagonists who had already gone through a great deal of hardships and their child being trashed like that? It’s obviously necessary for what was last seen in the original work to have lasted for a continuation, as conflict is an important factor for a story to drive it forward, but that doesn’t mean it has to be devastating.

So even if Moroha, the only good thing from Trashahime, gets what most actually wished for, do not watch it on any payed/partnered platform! Don’t allow Sunrise no Baka to make any profit!

Another stupid thing of Pedomaru: Giving the black pearl to Moroha only to be snatched by Kirinmaru, why wouldn't he just release Inukag himself instead as soon as his child bride would be freed from her curse, since he was the one who sealed them in the first place? One mess after another, his child bride was cursed because he didn’t hide her from Zero like his kids despite having been told that she’d like to see his entire family suffer. And for him to actually take advice from Jaken and believe Inuyasha and Kagome who tried hard to save Kohaku and wouldn’t risk killing Rin by attacking  Naraku’s giant spider would really kill Zero even if they’d tell them it would kill Rin... 🤦🤦🤦 Sunrise no Baka really sucks in writing and made Pedomaru a total Baka. Myoga hasn’t appeared even once in the first 13 episodes of Trashahime’s second season.

This whole nonsense must have been too dumb and horrible for the poor flea who then fled, having become too scared to get involved in it again.

Episode 39 Summary

Higurashi Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha, who have been sent into the black pearl, finally manage to reunite with Moroha’s parents, Inuyasha and Kagome. In addition, Inuyasha realizes that the key to escaping out of the black pearl is Towa and Tenseiga. Oh brother, those Sunrise jerks really won’t give Moroha her time to shine in this dumb story. Despite the 3 girls being depicted as a trio, they do everything they can to remove all agency and potential character development away from her so they can make their Mary Sue the hero in everything.

Meanwhile, a heavily wounded Sesshomaru is... feeling really stupid to have given the black pearl to Moroha instead of releasing her parents himself as soon as his child bride would be freed of her curse, since it resulted in Kirinmaru stealing it and he was the one who sealed them in the first place.

The Inukagmor reunion is happening.

So the poor little fella is eventually dragged into this abomination, and Sunrise just recycled Byakuya’s look to give him an adult design

And it’s most likely one of his "fox magic tricks" since he is shown in his child form in the new opening (which sucks)

And to think they would give an adult design for Shippo and not for Rin. It’s so obvious those pedopushers never meant for her to be 18.

To watch Yashahime is like watching a dumpster.

- It trashes the original main characters and their kid.

- It promotes pedophilia/lolicon which belongs in the trash.

- The story is full of absurdities and inconsistencies which makes it as messy as trash.

This is why Yashahime should be called:

Once again: let's not forget what a massive bummer it was to see Inukag who had already gone through a great deal of hardships and Moroha being trashed.

So even if things become better for them in Trashahime, all that happened to them shouldn’t have happened in the first place, so make sure to avoid doing anything that could be beneficial to those Sunrise jerks.

Seriously, the hell with what happens in Trashahime! Just make your own what if with Moroha existing, raised by her parents, not in debt and not treated as comedic relief!
