“The what?” Sunny and Harmony asked, perplexed.

“That’s what they’re callin’ you.” Aiden pulled up a short snippet to a virtual newspaper clipping on his T-watch.

Harmony shot her a dirty look. “Shut it, Mage.”

This snippet is from my current wip Sunny Mage: The Time Child, chapter 34.

Sunny jutted her chin up when the water started to lap at her neck. She held out her hand, shouting Harmony’s name until her throat turned sore. It was hopeless. Sunny didn’t have a plan to keep them afloat, but she knew if they stayed together things would work themselves out. But the rampant waves kept them apart. The panic in Harmony’s eyes stayed with Sunny, clinging to her mind, as the water swallowed them whole.

Darkness followed.
