And what does an older, possessive, and overprotective brother do when his little baby girl starts having love interests? He keeps her away from them.

There's nothing genuine about what he says to her during the Onderon arc. Anakin isn't worried about the mission, he’s not afraid of Ahsoka losing her way as a Jedi. Rather, he's fearful of her straying away from him as the most significant masculine figure in her life. He conveniently bends Jedi principles to suit his agenda, using his authority to control her actions and decisions.

One of the funniest things when rewatching TCW, is when Ahsoka develops an attraction towards Lux and divulges this to Anakin (Onderon arc), do you know what his response was?

One would think that he, a married man, would say that she deserves to explore this relationship with Lux seeing as they care deeply about each other

But nooooo, he says, in good conscience and earnest, that Ahsoka can't have these types of relationships and she needs to put the mission first

Like bro, c'mon now. You have a whole ass marriage that you consistently put before the mission

And Ahsoka isn't clueless, she knows at this point (Forces of Destiny) that he and Padme have something going on
