Cheerleading - Tumblr Posts
Okay so here’s my thought. Cheerleaders and Marching band kids should really be in solidarity. We have so much is common and think of what we could do if we worked together. We both have to go to every football game (even the midwestern late season freezing ones) and pretend to enjoy it and be happy. We both get made fun of relentlessly for the way we dress just for different reasons. And we both have an actual competitive sport we compete in that no one in the school actually understands. They only see us as the simple things we do during football games and not the hours of practice we put into our competition shows.
I found out today that apparently a girl on my cheer team doesn’t like me because “I’m a bubbly person” (whatever the fuck that means) but I find it ironic that our camp instructors literally gave me a ribbon for always having a smile on my face and being happy even though I’ve been sick this entire week.
I guess you could say, I’m just a bubbly person! <3
Cheer camp is done, so naturally it will be the only thing I talk about. If there’s one thing I’ve learned this week, it’s been that my cheer team doesn’t know how to breathe and if they were made to preform a two hour musical they would fucking die.
So thank you to dance and musical theatre for teaching me how to breathe, so I won’t be dying after a fucking minute cheer dance and will be able to have my energy a whole football game. <3
