✧ — I KNOW THE END

Because even after all that, he was still Tartaglia with his obligations, and you too had your own set of duties— his affections for you were nothing compared to the loyalty he held to his Archon and whatever flicker of the beginnings of love that warmed your chest did not hold a candle to your love for your Nation. You should have known— You did know. It still didn't stop it from hurting all the same. Or, in which, simply knowing is not enough— hurt still blisters and you are still swallowing it raw.

content warnings: tartaglia / m!reader (he/him pronouns are used to refer to reader as well as masculine terms—such as man & boy), reader is from liyue, hurt/no comfort, angst, during & post-osial arc, use of "monster" to describe tartaglia (in reader's defence, tartaglia did just try to nuke liyue)

author's note: honestly, i started considering what it would be like if the reader was a canon character in the game halfway through writing this and i just realised the voice lines would be absolutely brutal. the double stabbing... the way the trust had been there even if the "love" wasn't necessarily so (it was, it was there, but it's hard to know what it's like to love when you're adamant on seeing everything but) and just... yeah. i think it would've been cool in an "i'm going to break your heart in a complete & utter way" way.

EVEN FROM THE VERY BEGINNING, you knew there was only one way it could truly end.

He was the Fatui’s Eleventh Harbinger— a whirlwind of hydro-blades and copper hair that burned almost golden under the sunlight with how bronze it would get, a constellation of freckles dotted pale skin and they warped around the corners of his mouth when he would smile, crooked in that way of his that had steadily become more boyish than bloodthirsty lately.

You were part of the Liyue Qixing’s Internation Relations Office— an ambassador who had earned his name through a near decade’s worth of hard work in the Academy, followed by gruelling years of striving for as much as your greedy hands can get your hands on, your shoulders were set with determination and responsibility, your gaze set far into the future of Liyue.

It wasn’t at all strange really, how quickly you’d gotten together. After all, he was part of the Fatui envoy, and you were the man trusted to deal with him and his needs. He had been reserved when you’d first met, his smile controlled and his gestures kept together. You had found him fascinating. It was clear that there was more than meet’s the eye but no matter what you did, it was impossible to track him down. He left behind nothing but clean records, not even the faintest shadows casted on the ground he walked upon.

All it had taken was one dinner, one meal shared together when paperwork and legal work extended a little too late into the evening for the both of you, and the dominoes had not stopped falling since then. It was impossible not to be drawn into his orbit when he smiled like that—all teeth, freckles, dimples—and one dinner turned into another, which would lead to another. It wasn’t long before your pinkies stopped being linked under the table, and your hands started being intertwined as you explored Liyue in a way even you hadn’t thought was possible before him.

So, yes, you should have known.

It still didn’t stop it from hurting all the same.

Liyue—your Nation, your first love—almost was swallowed by the sea at the commandment of the man you had called your lover once. Betrayal simmered underneath your skin, the sting sharp the way an open wound would feel upon contact with salt. Your eyes burned, and your palms raw where your nails had carved a home into the flesh there.

“I’ll be down at the Habour.” Your voice sounded foreign even to your own ears—too ragged, too raw. “I will return by sunrise to assist clearing the aftermath but until then… I will need some time to clear my head.”

“Go,” said Lady Ningguang, her head tilting into the barest nods of acknowledgment. It hurt. “You did well. Come back when you’re ready.”

You barely managed to reply with a stiff, Thank you, Lady Ningguang. before you were already hurtling towards Liyue Harbour. The soles of your shoes slippery underneath your feet from the sea water but it doesn’t matter. Your world was tipping along the equilibrium anyway— The Earth, the Ocean and the Sky, the Sea. By the Archon’s grace, most of Liyue Harbour was still intact. The few who had been caught in the midst of it had been hauled away at the first sign of danger, brought in-land and towards safety points.

Your heart thundered against your eardrums, and your footsteps were reduced to rhythmical wet splashes on the ground. Liyue was still here, rooted into the earth, but it felt as if it was underwater anyway— You couldn’t hear the sound of the people calling out for your name, the warnings shouted at your heel when you went against all known protocols and headed straight to the center of the danger.

The Eye of the Hurricane. The Man behind the Monster.

Tartaglia, as you had known he would be, stood at the Harbour, a forlorn look on his face as he watched the sea rippling across the surface of the oceans beneath him. He looked wholly and utterly guiltless—as if he hadn’t just attempted to decimate the one thing that he knew you held dear to your heart. You knew he didn’t love you, boys like him couldn’t love boys like you even if he tried, but you never thought he could possibly be this heartless.

Your voice scraped at the base of your throat, making you sound like a wounded animal. You sounded alien. “Had your fun, Tartaglia?”

Tartaglia straightened immediately at the sound of your voice but it was all wrong: His shoulders were caved inwards, a hunted look bleeding through the channel between his brows and clicking into place under his jaw, infallibly hardset eyes were dull—duller than they already were, almost dead.

“It had nothing at all to do with you.” His voice was also one of a stranger’s. His face stretched into a smile—too wide, yet still not reaching his eyes. “Trust me, this is all business.”

“Trust you?” The scoff that escaped you was inevitable—so much kinder and more hurt than it could have, should have, been. “Oh, please, Tartaglia, trusting you was my second mistake.”

“And your first?”

“Letting you step foot on my godforsaken Nation.”

He laughed suddenly, the sound wild and preposterous; so much like the Tartaglia you knew and so far away from your lover’s. “Exactly!” he cried out, one hand waving wildly in the air. It had been endearing once.. “Your own Archon has forsaken you. Isn’t that a sign that there’s something really wrong?”

“Maybe it’s a sign of trust, Tartaglia,” you said coolly. “Not that I’m expecting you to understand what that means.”

Tartaglia nearly flinched. You caught it in the way tension coiled around his shoulders, up along the base of his throat— A noose. Even now, in the face of a stranger, it didn’t stop you from recognizing your lover in this monster before you. “Hey,” he said, his voice soft, but you refused to fall for temptation. The first, and the only, time you had, it had nearly costed you your whole Nation. “Come on, you know I love you, but I couldn’t— This was the great Tsaritsa’s orders for me. Even you couldn’t have stopped me.” His gaze met yours, tender and vulnerable and wholly steadfast. “You know that.”

And, well, wasn’t that the most bitter pill to swallow? You were smart enough to know that much, but you were foolish enough to follow through with it all the same. From the very first dinner, the very first kiss, the very first murmured confession against chapped lips—

“I’ve never done this before,” he had told you, small and quiet.

You had only brushed your mouth against rough knuckles and said, “It’s okay. We’ll learn together.”

Had you not stayed true to your words? You had inevitably learned so much. You learned that Liyue could so, so easily fall. You learned that Rex Lapis was well and truly dead, and that his death had brought the beginning of something new— The age of a Liyue without an Archon. You learned that his eyes were only bright when he had a taste of blood in his mouth and that they were dull at any other time. You learned that his hands were warm and they engulfed yours, steady and encompassing, but it had to be your arms swallowing him, grounding and all-consuming. You learned that it was easy to fall in love with a boy like Ajax, and that it was easy to fall in hate with a monster like Tartaglia.

“I know,” you said, because you did and that was the worst part. I know. I knew but I still wished that— “Guess it makes me a fool, doesn’t it?”

Uncannily, Tartaglia flinched as if he was dealt with a physical blow. His eyes snapped shut as if it hurt him to just even look at you. His head was shaking childishly in denial, his hands trembling where they were balled into fists by his sides. “No,” he choked out, strangled and hurt, and for a moment, you could see a glimpse of your Ajax in him. “No, I— I trusted you, too. I thought that maybe… If it makes you a fool, then I’m one too.”

You knew that. Boys like Ajax would always try to love, even if monsters like Tartaglia greedily gripped onto whatever scraps of love they still had left in their heart. Selfishly, you had thought you would be enough to coax Ajax out of his prison of shadows in his own head. Arrogantly, you had thought that you had. But Ajax could never be Ajax completely, not when he was still Tartaglia.

You knew that.

You knew that, but it didn’t make it any easier.

The wise move to make would be to leave Liyue Harbour— Leave Tartaglia, messy and washed out and haunted, in the hazy fog. Efforts to reinstate Liyue Harbour into the city it once was would take all the resources the Qixing could pool at such a short notice. You had a good head on your shoulders and steady hands that could haul people back to their feet. In her darkest hour, Liyue needed you.

You turned your back and hesitated.

“The people will chase you out of Liyue,” you said, not looking at him. “You and all the others. They’ll want to see you gone as soon as possible. In your arrogance, you’ve condemned not just yourself, but your people as well.” You tilted your head to the side, and you could see him wince in your mind’s eye. “Are you aware of that?”

There was a long pause, and then amidst the crashing waves, “I know. But it was in the name of my Archon. Would you not have done the same for Liyue?”

No, you thought, I would have done so much worse.

You didn’t answer, and that was already answer enough. You didn’t have to see Tartaglia to know that he was smiling at you— something depricative and knowing all at once. You had been a witness to such a bittersweet sight often enough that you could paint it out blind, could see it in your dreams and in your thoughts as if the image had been burned and engraved into the very fundamental lining of your mind.

Because you had known even then how it would end— Even then when he had been your Ajax, and your lover, and the boy whom you would lie next to in bed. Even then when you tugged him along by the wrist to track down stall after stall as you searched for the one niche snack you remembered from your childhood that you knew he would simply adore. Even then when he would speak in low voices about Home and Snezhnaya and the snowy planes and the warmth encapsulated within a hearth at the center of a home. Even then when you had everything, you had known how it would end.

Even from the very beginning, you both knew there was only one way it could truly end.

You knew you would tell him, “Get lost, Tartaglia.” and he would.

And so you did.

And so did he.

Punishment (pt 1/?)

the harbingers are currently in an important meeting, as childe put it. and only now have they realised that they are in fact not wasting their time

“aww, look at you, drooling all over the desk like a naughty boy, you’re gonna have to clean this up later you know?” childe cooed, his hips slamming against yours in a rapid pace whilst the harbingers watched in what appeared to be boredom

you could only let out a pathetic whimper in response, trying to avoid direct eye contact with the other harbingers, only to no avail as childe grabbed your hair and forced you to look at them whilst they got themselves off :(

“after I’m done with you... you should definitely help out the others. how does that sound? you’ll be our personal cumpdump” childe grunted out, leaving sloppy kisses onto your neck. in response your cunt clenched around him tightly, causing childe to let out a small whimper of his own.

suddenly, he bit down onto your neck whilst he rutted into your tight heat, an explosion of warmth trickled into your cunny, ajax keeping you plugged up with his cum so it wouldn’t drip out of you.

“w-why didn’t I get to cum?” you whined, childe only tutting in response, “this is a punishment after all, you’re not cumming until you’ve let everyone use you at least once. your boycunt is gonna be leaking by the time we’re finished with you puppy” childe explained, before gently kissing where he bit, slowly taking his cock out from your cunt, causing you to whine at the sudden emptiness :(

no need to worry, you won’t be empty for too long :)

Genshin boys comforting their ftm bf (who is dysphoric)

Request: hiya! could I pls request headcanons of xiao, zhongli and childe comforting their ftm bf who’s feeling dysphoric?

FEM ALIGNED DNI

I don’t have body dysmorphia a lot so I didn’t know much but I swear I tried my best!

@urcatbf This is terrible I’m so sorry!!😭😭😭

Genshin Boys Comforting Their Ftm Bf (who Is Dysphoric)

𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗘 —

* Childe comes home calling our your name thinking he’d be met with a hug and a big kiss you normally give him but nothing. He thinks your asleep so he goes to your shared bedroom to see his boyfriend in bed in/with (whatever your comfort clothing/item is) and by what he sees he sort of knows what’s going on.

* Childe would either go to see if you guys have any snacks or food you like to cheer you up a little or he’ll go to almost every store in liyue to get you whatever would make you even a little happier (but he’s hoping it would cheer you up a lot) he’ll come back with his hands full, dumping everything on the bed

* Childe would lay in bed with you all day if he had to even if it meant he’d be asked tons of questions the next day but he could take anything if it meant you’d be happy of course!

* Childe would hold you close to his chest either telling you things to brighten you up hoping to soon get a small smile or chuckle out of you.

* If you’re comfortable with it childe would show you how much he loves you and every part of your body (take that however you’d like-) .

* He’d take you to any stores to get you clothes, or get binders, or do whatever you wanna do to make you feel better about your handsome self.

Genshin Boys Comforting Their Ftm Bf (who Is Dysphoric)

𝗫𝗜𝗔𝗢 —

* Xiao got to your shared lovely home he always loved going to since well he got lucky and got to live with the best person he had ever met and will ever meet seeing you hiding in bed or wherever you like to try and calm down he would be a bit nervous to ask but of course did so he could help you as much as he could

* Xiao would probably take a while to understand what’s going on but once he knew he tried to figure out what he could do to help you

* Xiao may not be one to like a lot of touching or being touched but when it comes to you he’d be so close you would barley be able to breathe.

* Xiao would hold you close under the sheets and listen to you talk for as long as you want while his hands ran along your back to comfort you and his head laid on yours when your head laid on his chest.

* Xiao would wait until you were done telling him how you feel and all to offer some help however you want! New clothes, trying things you want to do to make you feel how you want to feel. If you say anything about not wanting to give him trouble he’d simply say “Trouble? Hah Trouble means nothing to adepti (and your boyfriend). There is no trouble that can last for a thousand years.” (His voice line for troubles lolol)

* Would almost kill anybody who misgenders you or says anything about the fact you’re trans!

Genshin Boys Comforting Their Ftm Bf (who Is Dysphoric)

𝗭𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗜 —

(Forgot to add his name to each one sorrrrryyyy!!))

* He’d come back after a day of doing whatever he does like helping childe or doing contracts or just working at the funeral parlor- he’d see you in bed surprised he didn’t get welcomed immediately with kisses everywhere but he assumed maybe you just weren’t in the mood! He was certainly right and wasted not a second to be in bed with you

* Pulling you onto his lap with his hands running up and down your sides for comfort he’d ask “what’s the matter my love?” In the softest comforting voice ever like you could hear it a thousand times and never ever get tired of it

* For a man who’s lived for like forever he’d still maybe ask about it a little about about this dysphoric feeling and if you maybe are one to just try and forget about it he’d tell you every story he can think of which might even take all day and by the time you were done the sun was already rising in the sky!

* If you are one to get rid of the feeling as quick as possible he’d ask you how and what you want to do before going immediately to help you!

* He’d cook for you

* Cuddle you

* Read you poems or books

* Go out and shop with you

* Maybe even convince him to get a little change done! Maybe to his hair

* Definitely end the day off with a suffocating amount of kisses to each others faces ending with him of course getting the last kiss and to your lips
