Christian Frost should be a much more important character than he is. Not only because the possibility of Emma Frost having a gay older brother who's struggled with mental illness and substance abuse is just. Incredible but because he's a mutant who's struggles don't even come from his powers but rather his history of abuse from his Father for being gay & mentally ill. Like he's a mutant and he lives on Krakoa yes but that's not really the thing that affects him the most. I think it's fairly evident that he's really only on Krakoa because his sister is there and she is protecting him from the possibility of Winston's death being discovered. But he brings a really unique perspective the island, I doubt he really considers his mutant identity that big of a deal, but the island in itself and its laws is protecting him from potential prosecution in the case of the world finding out that he killed Winston. He spent the majority of his life in an institution because of his father and because of that and the other abuse it drove him to killing Winston. How likely in court would a gay, mentally ill mutant walk away from killing his abusive yet extremely wealthy and influential father? Again his mutant identity isn't really that important to him, but it would be brought up in court. Emma and the island are respectively protecting him from having to be locked up for the rest of his life, which he already spent the first half of his life doing.
