my day be so fine, then doom. a reminder that damian was a trophy kid who placed himself in numerous of sports and tournaments in attempts to gain his father's attention/love, which he never received.
isn't it fascinating how in attempts to gain approval, he became someone his younger self would've been scared of? sure, the child version of himself would be overjoyed knowing their dream for becoming a wrestler came true.. but at what cost? his humanity? the love he once shared without hesitation— the kindness he no longer extends onto others? to realize that he has now become the caged animal he mourned for at the bronx zoo? damian became a betrayer, sure. but he never betrayed someone more than he betrayed himself. he became the very person he never wanted to be.

what made you pick up this character?
i genuinely don't know, if i were to be honest with you. i always been drawn to characters with multitudes. i'm not saying he's complex, he's rather easy to comprehend. but there's always a deep fascination i have with him because of his behavior and the way he approaches situations. unlike many wrestlers/characters within the universe, he's one of the few who displays how their past effects them and it's welcomed given the company loves forgetting anything & everything if it doesn't benefit them in some form.
what’s the worst thing about the canon you are writing?
the fans, the fact they (wwe) forget canon constantly. so many complaints, really. my biggest complaint, however, will always be how people look at certain characters like damian and instantly fetishize them. they don't look beyond surface, all they see is a attractive, tall older man who happens to be latino. or they instantly misunderstand canon/ignore it because it doesn't fit their narrative of who the person is. a lot of people really hate accepting how terrible some wrestlers are within kayfabe.
what would you say is the most unique trait about your character?
his eyes. he can't hide his emotions in any form or shape because his eyes always tell the truth. he tries so desperately not to wear his heart on his sleeve but it never works that way. the fact that the only reason he accepted being a big guy is because he thought that meant no one would attempt to take advantage of him. a lot of traits, most mental. some, physical. [p]
which song do you feel describes your character the most and why?
i have an entire playlist for damian somewhere, and one day i'll post it. but my biggest issue with this question is that my answer always changes. i always find new songs that somehow remind me of him or some other character i'm fond of. recently, it's been mutter by rammstein. last week? hand that feeds by nine inch nails. the week before? bloodlines by ministry. the main focus is that it has to be alternative metal/rock in some form or shape. also, it has to discuss something about him. mutter speaks about his relationship with his mother, hand that feeds is about his betrayal to adam copeland/edge, bloodlines relates to his embrace as a vampire and his situation within judgement day.
How long have you been writing the character?
in september, it'll be six (or maybe seven, i genuinely forgot) years. although my muse for him throughout the years always been fickle. he's that one muse that invades my mind for three years and then disappears for a year, then makes his return. this is the longest i roleplayed him without getting bored (four years) or feeling frustrated because of his booking. i'm always frustrated with his booking, but not enough to the person where i'm not actively using him.

"omg damian betrayed dom by not telling him about rhea's return!" damian doesn't owe dom loyalty in any form or shape, he knew rhea the longest— and the guys fucked him over on multiple occasions. i like to think that it was just regular ol karma at work. if anything, he kept giving dom chances to stop associating himself with liv and failed to do so. also, using the excuse that finn and jd been there for dom is .. interesting given they are also siding with liv but go off!
and before anyone tries saying that oh, but judgement day sucks at communication. you're not wrong. finn ghosted them for a month, damian goes radio silent out of anger, rhea closes herself up, etc. but the difference here is that dom LIED about communicating with rhea to damian's face to the point where damian instantly KNEW this man was lying his ass off because there is no possible way rhea would've been okay with what was going on unless she communicated it with both dom and damian. also it's very clear she doesn't trust the group when she only told damian about her return so, there's that.

(1) is the outlast fandom even alive nowadays? i haven't kept up with that fandom for a while now. (2) the current culture of tumblr roleplay would rip and tear me a new asshole before i'm even able to cover eddie's misogyny and how we need to remember that it's deeply rooted in sexual trauma. (3) if i were to even make him as a y'know, muse on a blog— he'll be a special request muse. i genuinely don't feel like he's a muse that should be able to interact with everyone. the character is deeply traumatizing, but i'm not going to cater to that crowd that thinks he's some saint. he's not, in fact— shocking to some, there's a reason why his ass got arrested and placed in an asylum in the first place. i wish though, anon, i wish i could bring him around.

funny enough, i wrote both before for a friend on discord who is practically like my sister at this point. they're not exactly two characters i'm obsessed over, but i really do like them and think they're neat.

I think you could do a killer accurate take on Karl Heisenberg from resident evil and probably Jigsaw.

honestly, i wish i cared more about watchdogs. it's not even the fact the games themselves are bad, they're not. i just can't push myself to care about them enough beyond just playing, you know? but characters i can see myself writing? . . honestly, everyone is saying karl but the fact no one said Wesker feels a bit insulting. (just joking)
