“Thanks for the save back there, who knew how gullible I can be.” Nora cracked a joke, in all honesty she probably wouldn’t have assumed the man was a little insane in the head. Nora tried to see the good in people these days but it appeared that was hard to go by.
“Yeah, of course. It’s always good to help someone out of a weird situation. I’m Aiden.” He introduced himself. The girl was someone he had never met before, but he figured he’d be a nice guy, not that that was anything new for the boy. “Are you okay?”

“Well thanks again Aiden, I’m Nora.” She held out her hand to give a firm handshake, nodding her head in a grateful way. “Yes I’m fine, perhaps if you hadn’t interfered sooner who knows.” She trailed off in thought, a shiver running down her spine at how much worse it could’ve been. “Guess Wilmington isn’t safe as I assumed it would be.”
“Oh, what a pretty name. That’s the name of this character on this show I really love.” He stuck his hand back out and gave her a reciprocated firm handshake. “Well maybe I’m your guardian angel sent from above,” he joked, trying to make light of the situation. He didn’t want her to feel as though the situation wasn’t important, but he didn’t want to dwell on it either. “Yeah, I don’t think anywhere is safe, if I’m being honest. I think there’s definitely cities with a lower crime rate, but you definitely should be careful. Get some pepper spray or something,” he suggested.

"The Flash, I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of it. It’s the name of the main character’s mom,” he continued on. He really loved that show and was grateful that the newest season got released on Netflix. He was really enjoying his short time off from school. “I would say you should practice so that you’re more well trained but I don’t know if the mist will end up in your eyes too. Or you can always just call me if you’re in trouble and I’ll come save you,” he offered.

“Oh…that’s the DC tv show isn’t it.” She vaguely recalled seeing commercials about the super hero show but never got invested into starting the series. “You’re willing to take time out of your day to come running when I need help? I can’t do that, that is way too kind.” She shakes her head and offered him a smile. “But thank you.”
“Yeah, I think it’s the best one of the four that are currently running. Although, most guys I know argue that Supergirl is the best show, but I think they have some bias towards the ‘hot’ girls on the show. I’m there for the actions and plots.” He finished his small rant about one of his favorite television shows. “Well, it’s not taking time out of my day, it’s making time. I have to make sure people are safe and sometimes calling the cops might take longer for them to get here. Maybe we can go to a self defense class or something so you are more prepared, but hopefully you don’t have to be more prepared because hopefully another situation like this does not repeat itself.”

“I was planning on going to get some drinks and food. Did you want to join me?” he invited. He didn’t know if it was weird that he was asking her to get food and drinks with him. “Not like a date, just like an ‘oh, you had a rough night and maybe alcohol and food could cheer you up’ hang out,” he explained himself.
