Maybe it was a mistake to come here. The whole place was too crowded. Now, petrol’s had to stoop low before but he can’t help but feel he sticks out like a sore thumb. A button up shirt two sizes too big & uncomfortable dress shoes. So much for being presentable. It won’t be so bad once the reception started, free food was half the reason he showed up at all.
&... the other reason. Lurking in the shadows just like he was. With silent footsteps he came up behind Cortex to grab his wrist. Hey- easy. It’s just a friend; even bothering to wave in greeting. He can’t believe his luck to catch him here. After he had to go up in front of everyone. So, what’s the harm to regroup now?
