THIS NEEDS TO BE SAID LOUDER!!!!
Another thing about the difference in fandom attitudes with Danganronpa and Project Sekai, DGRP had its massive popularity with teenagers years ago and everyone still in the fandom has either matured, grown out of it, or left entirely. PRSK is still extremely popular with the types of teens that would get pressed over a horny post about a fictional 18yo.
this is also true
although i do think people who immediately jump to hornypost about a fictional high schooler are still weird, particularly if they're significantly older than that character. like why did u look at this girl existing in high school while at the age of like 30 and go "hm yes. sex" .. sure yeah, they're not real, but personally, it gives me the ick !!! (im also aspec, so i've never been able to understand the concept of people being attracted to fictional characters anyways...)
but on the other hand, i think this fandom treats the prsk ocs like they're 13 rather than like... the young adults that they are.
like yeah, they know what sex and drugs are Shocker (we have NUMEROUS covers about the aforementioned topics as is), but it's like ONE person drew emu vaping for sillies this one time on twitter, and they got blasted with hate??? like ohhh my god!!! Who Cares!!! it was literally something they drew for fun, not because they endorsed vaping???
it also just completely closes the discussion of any taboo topic in fanworks that is not mental illness because those are somehow more "palatable" than all the others... im not saying to glorify these topics or sexualize these characters, of course; but rather i think there's a lot of potential in plot points that can come up from these topics that people can incorporate in their works.
for example, in airi2, there's a line that has been misinterpreted (?) as airi being verbally sexually harassed by some fans. i think it would be nice to have some works that expand on the kind of trauma airi could have with that with her past fans and how she feels about it and now copes with it as a sort of... character study (but with an addendum), but i think someone creating that kind of thing is unlikely because of how quickly people are in this fandom to jump at anything they find uncomfortable irrespective of the context surrounding that thing.
obviously, the ideal version of this fic would be done in a tasteful manner that respects the character of airi momoi, but even at its best i still think there would be people who would treat it like the spawn of satan or whatever just because sexual harassment is an uncomfortable topic
Miku game is love, but also pain
LOTS OF PAIN

Calling all Project SEKAI fans!
I'm doing a survey to figure out just who on Tumblr is a fan of PJSK, and their preferences and all that!! It's anonymous and for fun to see how similar the fanbase is or not!! Results will be posted here on my Tumblr on October 20th!!
Please consider filling this out cause that would be super awesome!! Reblogging this to spread it is also a huge help!
Thank you for your time if you do fill it out!!
The world's future starπ
I want to make my own self-indulgent Project Sekai group that isn't just alternate versions of already existing ocs, so now I have to make 4 new characters while maintaining some of the dynamics from my initial imaginings.
I also gotta figure out a gender ratio, because the first group was all guys, and I kinda want a true boy band group in the game (6/26 characters are guys), but if there's too many characters going to Kamiyama High I'll even it out.
I'm keeping the Sekai the same: Cabin Sekai. It's a snowy cabin with a cozy interior that incorporates places of comfort from the members' lives.
I am working on some sketches for the group members, and have decided they're going to be a boy band after all.
Sorry that I don't have much more tonight because 1) I want to post their personal info with their art and 2) had a rough night (I can be more coherent tomorrow).
I love angst and whump so I swear I'm trying not to hurt them that much.
A while ago I used this picrew to make some bases for the group.
Ken Miyashita, Hanzou Akabane, Nobutoshi Akabane, and Yuuto Yoshinaga
I'm still working on the drawings; I have 3/4 done as sketches (traditional), which I'll have to finish up (digitize) soon. Once I get them done digitally, I'll hopefully release most of the info about them.
Updates may become slower due to some factors (like the new event).
But now I'll be posting the traditional drawings of each member one at a time.
I actually started with the last member and moving to the front of the unit.
So first up is Yuuto Yoshinaga
The cane may be a bit weird, but I was glad with the head as I was trying to get some of the headshape from the project sekai characters.
I've completed all sketches, and am now moving on to drawing them digitally. I realized their heads are too small for the Sekai art style, but trying to fix that just makes them look weird.
Next up is the 3rd member of the group:
Nobutoshi Akabane
I initially thought of him as the shortest, but once I saw I drew him as a string bean, him and Yuuto swapped heights.
I have finished lineart and am moving onto coloring, since I use their traditional drawings as sketches. There will be a couple things I need to do once I finish coloring, but I don't think it would be much longer for digital arts of each member.
Hanzou Akabane
I thought it would be interesting to have both siblings in one group. I don't think his pose is that expressive, which is something I think I struggle with. Though looking at the group as a whole, I think the pose fits right in due to the variety.
Once I post the colored versions (which will be tomorrow), I'll start a Masterpost to go to each little bit I talk about this.
Last drawn (but the head of the group) is Ken Miyashita.
Their right arm doesn't look that good, which I think I somewhat corrected in the digital version. Throughout the drawing process, their gender did something, and I don't know what that is or how it affects them.
