hi! i was wondering if you had any tips for knowing when to color a section of lineart vs keep it black vs blend? your art always blends so seamlessly between colored and black lineart and it makes it look so natural and have so much movement!
Hi, thank you for asking! Here’s a condensed tutorial on how I color my lineart :)
When to color lineart:

When to use the airbrush tool:

In general, I recommend trying things out and seeing how you like it. After drawing for years I’ve gone back and forth on fully colored and plain black lineart, and sometimes I change it depending on the look I’m going for in the final piece.
In any case, I hope this helps ! I’m always happy to answer questions on my art process ^^
Jeez man, I really love the way you color. It's simple, yet everything is needed to know is there. How you do it
THANK YOU SO MUCH <3
Can't explain it all in words, so i made a tutorial. Hope it explains well xD

Would you be able to do a tutorial on your coloring/rendering process? Love your art!
Thank you! 💛 It was pretty fun to make actually! (It's a bit long tho)

If you're curious about my brushes, I have a separate post about it under #art tips
I thought about doing a video but there would have been so much rambling.

HAIR COLORING TUTORIAL ( DIABOLIK LOVERS/SATOI STYLE )

may i ask how your drawings look watercolor like ?? is it a special brush you are using ? love your art btw !! keep it up ^o^
i mainly used this brush for the coloring

i got most of my brushes from devianart!! n just did go randmon with the settings really ´ V `;;

for the water color effect just add a new layer above your base (clipping + FRINGE!!!) and there you already tgo = W =
for some nice effects you can also add an overlay layer (or some textures)

THERE ARE DIFFERENT KINDS OF PEONIES idk which one so i just drew the one that most people use
I’m sorry it’s no vrery detailed lies on my side

Ryky did a tutorial on painting hair in MediBang Paint. He’s got a lot of other tutorials for MediBang Paint and other programs on his Devianart page here.

I hope this is usefull!
By the way, this is for artists who want to make different colors for haircurts. Only one contradiction: You need to keep your layers. All separated(So no shadows with highlights.)
It is supposed to work, depending on your way to color,it might not look the same as Chino’s. I know I do that mistake, too.

More notes. They are not in order by the way. There is still more stuff to say about the world building/drawing/exploring topic. I just haven't gotten to these notes yet.
This one is about lights but it's in progress as well. Feedback is welcomed
I’m not super fond of the way vampires turn pale no matter their skin tone so here’s a proposal:

Colder tones!!!
This was loosely based off livor mortis which is the bluish-purple discoloration of the skin of dead bodies. It’s a result of the gravitation of blood but fuck that vamps are purple now
