Companion Cube - Tumblr Posts
Some play portal for the hot ai woman and learn to love all aspects of the game.
I on the other hand, was introduced to portal and played it for the game. Then I found my hot murderous ai woman and a cube that may or may not have dead bodies in it.
Now I love them both dearly.

The Aperture Science Enrichment Center reminds you that no matter who you are, you are a trusted friend in science.

Happy Pride Month! For the past few years, I have been selling my Pride Companion Cube's design on RedBubble (with Valve's permission). They are available as stickers, hats, shirts, hoodies, and a bunch of other stuff. I also have them available for free as icons if you would like to add them to your Discord server or subreddit!

Here's the best part: This year, ALL of the profit will be donated to the Trevor Project!
This isn't just limited to Pride month. Every single cent of profit from items in the collection will be donated to the Trevor project!
You can find them here: https://www.redbubble.com/people/MooseGBT/shop?asc=u
Happy Pride! - Moose
Details:
By "This year," I do not mean that the profit will not be donated to the Trevor Project in 2025, I mean that I may choose another charity for in 2025.
RedBubble does not have a system in place for profit to be donated directly to a foundation, so I will have to manually make a donation. This is clearly way too big of a thing to leave to the honour system, so I will be as transparent as possible with the profit and donations (without releasing any personal information of those who contributed). You can find constant receipt updates here.

Even if the stars no longer shine on me- I can still remember.

i drew these a very long time ago for a short comic about doug that was set up in a similar way to this one, with captions narrating each panel. it was going to be about him waking up in the future with the bullet wound from the turret in his leg and… i never figured out what would happen next. i’m still really proud of these panels and didn’t want to leave them sitting in my drafts forever, so here they are now for your viewing pleasure

Oh shoot I got busy and missed the anniversary of Portal 1!
Uhhh... quick here's some cubes and a keyboard smash about how much I love this game.
I played Portal for the first time in high school because I had just bought steam and someone said it was a good game. I came into the game (almost) blind, with the only thing I knew being the "Cake is a Lie" meme since that was an inescapable part of internet culture from the 2000s - 2010s.
I can't really speak to how incredible it was playing the game for the first time and really understanding HOW it's such a phenomenal game, because odds are you've probably experienced that same thing. That thrill of actually learning what kind of "puzzle game" Portal is.
And the ATMOSPHERE. The haunting minimalist music, the slight layer of filth on the walls, the isolation, the slow peeling back of the layers that things aren't all as they seem...Aperture Science is just one big liminal space and it hugs you with all the creeping comfort.
Portal was long since popular so after playing the first game I went deep into the fandom, wishing I somehow was there for the hype, but I wasn't because I just wasn't in the right age group when Portal first came out. But I lurked and got to read a lot of great fanfic, squeal over a lot of fanart, and so many other fan-made pieces of content.
I hyperfixated on Portal and Half Life for a solid two years before taking a break hanging out in other fandoms. I literally told myself not to replay Portal 1 or 2 until several years had passed, because I didn't want to get so used to the puzzles that the game lost its impact.
So I staved off on the games for seven years until the start of this year and got sucked back in. Coming back to it years later has somehow made me love it more, I think? It's been a really fun ride especially now that I'm an adult who can use their free time to write and try and learn to draw.
Glad to see that Portal people are still out there. Happy Birthday to an IP that has been and always will be perfection to me. Hurray for everyone out there who still recognize everything amazing about the Portal-verse and give it life with their fic and art.
