Anubis the tomb engine (color concept)
I am oddly obsessed with him and I can't explain why, I plan on drawing him a lot though.
Especially his secrets.
Anubis fun facts: he adorns himself with gold paint as a way to give fortune to the dead he carries, as in ancient Egypt the dead were often buried with their personal possessions, such as riches, his gold plated wheels especially a tribute to that as he believes it's only fitting to honor them by towing them with his golden wheels, carrying them to their burial site. And the scarab decal on his tender is his way of wishing the dead good luck and fortune on their journey to the afterlife. Hence why it's on his tender, closest to the coffin car he carries. And while he much prefers carrying the dead over carrying passengers, it's always said that he seems to talk to the dead, as if he's having a genuine conversation.
And, they say he lives up to his namesake, as at night he always roams the graveyards, protecting the burial sites of the dead.

My friends have introduced me to the wondrous world of Hollow Knight, so I have been getting out of my art block via drawing my HK ocs. Hopefully this will get me on the road to reigniting my other blog.
