1918: Birth 1929: Due to the rising political tensions and propaganda, Emerald and their friends decide to join the ever-popular youth camp. 1930: meets Jasper , Father leaves, Mother falls mentally ill and is sent to a sanatorium. Emerald would then move in with their nearby relatives in Holstein, Germany. Emerald is 12.

1936: Enlists in the army as they've been recommended for the Women's Infantry Unit due to their strong athleticism and behaviour in the Youth Camps. Emerald is 18. 1939: Is promoted to 1st lieutenant & is transferred to the frontlines as the war breaks out. Emerald is 21. 1940: Emerald is promoted to Hauptmann, they'd meet a woman by the name of Veronica Schmutz, a formidable SS-Sturmbannführer whom forces them into a [toxic] relationship with her. Emerald is 23. 1942: Is rendered unable to fight due to injuries, falls into a coma, is awarded a Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves - a highly-respected military badge for their efforts. Emerald is 24. 1944: Emerald wakes up from the coma, undergoes mental & physical therapy soon afterwards. Relocates back to their family home in Holstein. Emerald is 26. 1945: WAR ENDS 1946: Emerald’s turn for the war trials and is sentenced to jail for 37 years with parole. Emerald advises Jasper to keep the bail money to help out the family rather than to let Emerald out at the moment. Emerald is 28. 1955: Is offered to work at the Executioner’s Corps due to their past affiliations and is given a chance to redeem themselves by working for them. To get rid of all the remaining fascists and local terrorists. As for their reward, they'd given a shorter sentence. Emerald agrees to work with them and signs a work contract and an anti-escape device is imbedded in their skull. Starts training at the Executioner’s Corps. Emerald is 37. 1956 (current timeline): Starts working at the Executioner’s Corps. Emerald is 38.

Funnily enough, YES! The real reasoning why people in the world of Crystal Monarchi name their offspring after gems depends on two factors! 1. The offspring's hair colour 2. Their religion And additionally their country/region! Because Gem Names are like how people name their children after idols or famous people in religious or historical texts, ie; Michael, Jesus, Adam, Ali, etc. !! All different [gems] are actually saints or idols in whichever religion one is in!! There are other characters (WHOM YOU WILL MEET SOON) who have totally normal names like Engel, Rudolph, Kasparov, Anny, etc!! Thank you again for asking!! Wait, hold on - if parents name their kids after their hair color, does that mean Emerald's hair are frickin' green?

I mean, it's in the name! (fun fact though, Emerald was named after their mother's first inherited item, an emerald necklace). ok so the way hair colours work in the world has to do something with evolution & selective breeding. Yk how animals would grow fur to adapt to certain environments and such? That's how they'd work here :D I.e, if you were born somewhere cold or wintery, one's hair would be lighter coloured and if you were born somewhere more foresty, it'd be black, brown, greenish, yellowish, etc. (in certain communities, this is total opposite) The more dominant gene (ex, blonde wins brown) would be most commonly inherited by the child, etc etc. In rare cases like Emerald, the colours would fuse and make a whole new colour entirely - Emerald's dad was blonde and Emerald's mother had deep blue hair. Royals back then had the tendency to keep their lineages "pure" as they were in real life and often married their own cousins to keep the hair the same colour as it was. (yeah, ew.)
