See, I've already read The Great Gatsby (before I saw the Broadway musical so I could have some background on the show) and I love that my class is reading The Great Gatsby this year and I'm just like:

Like I'm starting some kind of fucking cult.

Daisy having a terrible night for whatever reason and reaching out to ANY of her friends for support only for them all to be “too busy” to come over and help. Daisy having to stare down the fact that nobody in her life loves her past the point where she’s useful to them. Daisy not even being able to call the people who called her the ‘love of their lives’ because she wasn’t. She was only a shiny toy, a way into a world. A means to an end. Auuugh my girl.
