See, I've already read The Great Gatsby (before I saw the Broadway musical so I could have some background on the show) and I love that my class is reading The Great Gatsby this year and I'm just like:

"Yes... join me and my brainrot"

Like I'm starting some kind of fucking cult.

I have a theory she hit Myrtle on purpose, even subconsciously. Gatsby’s version of events (and he’s biased) are that she turned away from Myrtle (towards another car? I think?) but then “lost her nerve” and hit Myrtle straight on. And then she just kept driving.

One thing that does kind of stick with me though is. Daisy’s been driving like. Five years at least. Maybe not often but. She had a car when she met jay. I know she probably didn’t drive often but seeing as shes a girl I don’t think her parents would have given her a car/let her keep it if she was a bad driver. If anyone has any input I’d love to hear it
