Somehow, you were dancing with him. Your heart races a million miles a minute as your head rests on his shoulder. You sway gently to a record playing in the background but really you were listening to make sure nobody is coming. You knew his brothers probably wouldn’t do anything but the gang had a habit of breaking in with no warning. “I can tell your worried about something”Darry says, halting abruptly. you pull away from him and sit on the bed. “I’m not im-“ “don’t bullshit me, I can tell.” You sigh and place your head in your hands. “I’m just scared someone is gonna catch us.” He sits next to you and places a hand on your shoulder. “You know im not an emotional person…I just- let me tell you im gonna protect you. He turns the record player up and grabs your waist. “You wanna keep dancing?” “Yeah. Let em catch us.” You smile at him and wrap your arms around his neck. Yeah, this is worth it.
