Ponyboy is the coach that usually comes up with the most random things to do at Practice like he having do some drills "alright everyone I came up with a new drill to do this one is called-"

Steve Randle is the coach that doesn't care if the team wins or loses he just wants the kids to have fun and in the dugout he will rant about cars during any part of the game he brings the kids slushies form the dx station sometimes

Sodapop Is the sweetest coach ever always give pep talks before the care just like Steve he doesn't care if they win or lose "Just go out their and give it your all!"

Johnny Is also a really sweet coach and sometimes gives the kids candy after games "Now don't tell your moms this but.. I got you all blow pops" he is the coach that will always talk about his team and how good the kids are "Oh Timmy is just such a Well behaved boy"

Two-Bit He is almost just like and wants his team to win and sometimes he tries to tell the kids to go steal something form the other team, "Okay now Eric you sneak into that dugout and take the eye sore of an bat form that Ginger kid" Still after the games he brings the kid some candy and bubble gum

Why do you guys blame Cherry and Darry for the events of the book? (Y'all especially do this to Cherry)

Cherry was literally getting harassed by Dally, then Johnny killed her boyfriend, (even though he had it coming) and then Two-Bit had to stop some of the greasers from jumping her when she offered to be a spy. Honestly, I don't even care about Cherry that much myself, but it's not like she went out of her way to hurt anyone. (And who can blame her for not wanting to see the guy who killed her boyfriend? Besides, who's to say that Johnny wanted to see her anyway?)

And I don't like it when people blame Darry for what happened. (Ik some people blame Pony too, which I also don't like, but I've seen people blame Darry more) Darry was 20 years old. And taking care of his 16- and 14-year-old brothers after both of their parents died. AT THE SAME TIME. Darry wasn't perfect, but neither were any of the characters. That's what most people like about them. And really, if you want to play the blame game, blame Bob and the other guys for jumping Pony and Johnny, or blame Dally for flirting with Cherry in the first place. (Nobody seems to do the latter option)

Soda and Darry actually have really bad and regular nightmares too but neither admit it. Darry doesn’t want to have to put that on his brothers and Soda because he doesn’t want to make anyone more worried or stressed than they already are.

I think that is so true! I feel like they would just manage to hide it from Ponyboy and each other.

I seen the post where you wanted something sad about the outsiders so maybe like, once Johnny and dally dies he becomes sadder and sadder every day. He completely stop watching sunsets but every once in a while he will look at the them despite the heaviness in his heart. He stops playing track because the running reminds him of when him and Johnny had to run away and when ever he sees and leather jacket his eyes fills with tears because they remind him of dally. He blames himself every day of the deaths of his two best friends despite soda pop and Darry telling him it wasnt his fault. He locks him self in his room most the time and just stares at his book shelf no longer having the motivation to read the books. He reads johnnys letter every night and bowls his eyes out till he falls asleep. I don’t know what else to put so there ya have it😅

He’ll probably have just gotten home from work and see you passed out in the middle of the living room 

No not on any of the couch’s 

Just in the middle of the floor 

Is a tiny bit confused but doesn’t think too hard about it 

He just sighs and shakes his head

Honestly a little disappointed that his brothers didn’t bother to move you from the inconvenient spot 

But he’s not really surprised either 

He’ll place his things down on the table before walking back into the living room to gently scoop you into his arms and carry you to his room

I think that with Darry he wouldn’t really be too bothered by this habit of yours but he does definitely worry about you

“What if someone trips on you? I just don’t think the kitchen doorway is the best place to sleep darlin’” 

He doesn’t want anyone to step on you 

He does want to know why exactly your falling asleep in random ass places 

So he’ll sit you down at some point to ask you about it 

If it’s because your not getting enough sleep at night he’s going to make you go to bed earlier no exceptions

He’ll offer to help you with your sleep schedule but understands if you refuse 

Though he does remind you to get better sleep

Would be a little confused as to why you were sleeping on the floor

But then worry’s you might have passed out so he kneels by your side and gently shakes you awake 

He lets out a sigh of relief as you let out an irritated groan 

"Why were you sleeping on the floor?”

“I was tired”

He’s probably the most confused about your sleeping habit 

Why would you sleep on the floor when there’s so many other places you could have slept

But nevertheless he will always move you while you sleep 

Usually he just brings you somewhere more comfortable with him so that you can lay next to him while he reads 

Likes to read out aloud while you sleep next to him, it’s very therapeutic for him

There have been times Soda has walked in on him doing this and teased him afterwards for about a solid week 

There have been times however where you’ve fallen asleep in situations less than ideal

Like when you went to the park together

You were sitting on the bench together and you rested your head on Pony’s shoulder 

And after a moment of silence Pony could hear your soft snores

And sure enough when he turned his head to look at you, you were fast asleep

Pony tried to shake you awake but you were fast asleep

So he kinda has to carry you home, he’s tried as hell once he finally makes it back without being jumped either 

So now he makes sure when you go out your always doing something so that you don’t fall asleep 

both parry and darbit are canon in my mind but its like

paul is like darry’s first mlm canon event where it ends terribly and was mentally abusive

and two-bit is his happy ending where he gets to actually heal and be loved

the outsiders but they’re all stray animals and darry is just sitting on the couch sipping coffee while some dogs are roughhousing on the carpet and a giant cockatoo is screaming in his ear and oh my god there’s just a horse in the middle of the room

bringing back an older headcanon of mine but the curtis parents recorded tape messages for their kids for every single milestone gif forbid anything were to happen to them, and they told the boys where they were. On the night they died Darry dug them up but never had the heart to play back the recordings. There was one for when Darry was supposed to graduate, one for Pony entering high school, one for Soda graduating, one for Pony’s sweet sixteen…and every time there’s a special event the boys listen to the recording and the other two support the one the recording is directed at

sometimes they all need to hear that their parents are proud of them. darry swore he’d never listen to the one made for him graduating college but he did when he was alone and had the biggest breakdown of his life
