Describe the color black without using the word black

Sssooo I saw this post about describing the color red without using the word red. Totally decided to make one for the color black! It's a little dark, but oh well!

  It's all that you ever see when you are in your mother's womb. When you draw your first breath, it's the color that leaves your sight. When you are in your young years and alone at night, it's the color you fear the most. When you grow older, it's the color that's cloaking your secret embraces with him. When you turn into adulthood, it's the color of your work suit. When you stand in front of his coffin, looking at him for the last time, it's the colour of your heart. When looking upon his killer, that's the colour of your stare. It's the last thing you see when you reunite with him.
