i think we need to highlight the hilarity that out of all the soul-bound duos, the ones that are two 40~ year old men with kids irl went in hardest on being Married Beloved Soulmates In Love from day one. meanwhile most other duos are fairly platonic roomies atm and every single lgbt+ person has caught pearl in the crossroads of a messy four way divorce. this is the strangest possible pride month.

Temperatures dropping dangerously low, neither noticing until they nearly collapse because they’re numb to the cold. Sunlight melting the ice from Pearl’s hands, and Scott’s suddenly coming alive with pins and needles. Scott shoving his arm into a snow block, and Pearl’s fingers stiffening around her pickaxe.

we were so wrong about which of the two broken soulmate bonds were going to be normal about being divorced, and in hindsight. how did we not realize. both cleo and martyn, while both vindictive in their own rights, also both want to survive and win. scott, however, is petty and dramatic and has already won once anyway, and pearl is just completely insane. we should have seen this coming. should have realized cleo and martyn would just snipe at each other while also giving each other the bare minimum help needed to survive, while meanwhile scott starts the day by going “we should axe crit each other to hurt our soulmates” and pearl is in his walls. incredible. show-stopping. hilarious. how did we get this so wrong
based on the first episode my ideal finale would be between Martyn + Cleo and Scott + Pearl left. imagine the drama. the potential for betrayal. please let this happen

Because it’s about choosing someone!! It’s about choosing who you bond your life to. But it’s also about losing someone you didn’t even have yet. Leaving one path to walk upon another. I think the thing I’ll miss most about double life when it ends are the unexpected, yet perfect, pairs we get out of it. 5/7 of the pairings arent hermit/hermit, so the majority of the server may never interact again with that specific person if they only play together in the Life series. Jimmy and Tango, Etho and Joel, Ren and Bigb, And the oh so loved divorce quartet. I hate to say it so soon, but I’m gonna be sad when this series ends because I’ve grown so fond of these duos
