@limpulsive

I don't know what he says in English, but in Japanese it's 死んだぜてめぇ! 焼殺してやんよ!ベイク・イル・ア・ゴウン! (Shindaze temee! Shousatsu shite yanyo! Beiku iru a goun!) Which roughly translates into "You're dead! I'll burn you to ashes!" The Japanese name of his mystic arte doesn't really make sense to me, since it doesn't seem to be English, or Japanese for that matter.

Thanks so much! :D

I went and pasted the Japanese name of his mystic arte into Google and I found this Japanese profile of Lunarre’s character.

This bit in particular refers to his mystic arte, basically saying that the ‘Beiku iru a goun!’ sounds like ‘Begiragon‘ which, after a quick search, turns out to be the romanji version of the fire move Kasizzle/Firevolt that appears in the Dragon Quest series.

Quote: ‘Introduced in Dragon Quest III, it is the final spell in the Sizz series, and immolates a group of enemies with a wave of ferocious hellfire.’

So I think it’s safe to say that Lunarre’s Japanese mystic arte is nothing more than a reference to a move in Dragon Quest XD

The following was a twitter rant I had drafted. Decided to change some stuff and post it here since y’all seem more pleasant.

I don’t know. I just wanted to have some fun and good times with the recent remake of Dragon Quest III. You know, look at cool fanart, laugh at memes, get hyped for the game coming out. And yet, here I am, only getting angry whenever I decide to look for any of that stuff. And why? Because everywhere is talking about the same thing. “The game’s gone woke” this and “they’re censoring toriyama” that. Is this really what the game’s legacy is now? That thing that got censored and set the internet on fire? The game with ugly redesigns? I wanted to just sit back and enjoy this remake’s buzz like anything else, but no. It’s just nothing but negativity. People can criticize the game, I’m not arguing against that, but literally everything positive about this game is drowning in controversy now. A controversy I don’t think everyone asked for. I now have to worry that this cool series might go back to not releasing in my home country, because tons of people keep saying how they won’t buy over like 2 sprites and a couple of words. I almost want them to just walk back the changes so people will stop complaining, but that probably won’t help just like that one interview I’ve seen posted about a dozen times. I dunno why I’m so upset, but I felt I needed to vent before the bottled frustration killed me. The negativity just grates on me in how it mars any positivity. In conclusion, thank you to the human race, the internet, and twitter for making absolutely everything into an argument. Can’t wait for the game to come out, then get swiftly forgotten about! And to anyone else wanting to just enjoy the remake for all the good it brings, hang in there. Don’t let it get to you like it got to me.

Sorry to bring the bullcrap here. Just had feelings and needed to scream them somewhere. Hope everyone’s a bit more understanding of my frustrations here than on, as I originally referred to it, that “forsaken website”.
