Endgame Zelda TOTK spoilers ahead, read at your own discretion <3
This story takes place after the defeat of Ganendorf, and the destruction of his secret stone.
Zelda, now somewhat returned to her mind, was still suffering the consequences of her actions.
Her mind would drift, and she'd forget things. Important things at times.
Link was of course helpful and accomedating, but time kept slipping past the princess.
And so one day, helping tend to the Hateno school's garden, she found herself drifting again.
And when she came back to herself, the world was covered in snow. a woman informs her that she was her student, and Zelda had spent 15 winters in that garden.
Zelda was looking at infinity again, as she was when she first swallowed that stone. She realized that an immortal dragon is named such for a reason, and she hadn't seen eternity quite yet.
The news was hard on everyone, though Link always was very hard to read. His conduct hadn't changed one bit over the years, sticking to her side until his hair turned grey, aiding her in her travels to the shrines of any god that would listen.
The horned god had no room to store her endless vitality and the trades haven't aged her a day. The bretheren in charge of poes refused her an afterlife, and of course...
Hylia almighty, had no advice to her but encouragement on her brave sacrifice and noble life. Zelda did not enjoy these.
Her friends, her allies, her students, Link...
She had buried them all.
Her brief periods of awareness were spent in communion with Mineru, who's power as a sage of spirit enabled her to offer guidance and support from beyond the veil.
Mineru had found Zelda's path to the afterlife, she's hopeful! Mineru has given up her residence in the land of the living, and Zelda was too slow to act, so they opted for a messanger!
a hero of a new age! Zelda was quite fond of this Link, though she knew not why
and she pleaded with him to obtain the required meterials to split her soul from her spirit, stripping all of her power into a still living light dragon to carry on her role.
As she departed from the living world at long last, joining her family and friends in peace and love and dance, she could see dark skies behind her, accentuated by a massive gloomy serpant.
An immortal dragon is named such for a reason...
But that's hardly her problem anymore.

Disclaimer: Link to the Past is my favorite Zelda, so this'll take a fair bit from there
Topdown classic Zelda game of much smaller scope
Ganon's remnants have been coalescing in the lost woods, and while it's nothing close to the demon king, these remnants are causing trouble to forest babies.
Link is tasked with getting the master sword in order to be able to do damage there, which is a complicated story.
The master sword has been under the watch of the light dragon for 1000 years, and she refuses to hand it over to anyone for sentimental reasons.
She requests for you to bring her 3 artifacts that will aid her, and then she may give you the sword.
3 dungeons 3 baubles, you know the drill ^^
Zelda can only be seen through a curtain before she gets her artifacts.
These baubles allow Zelda to leave the light dragon into her afterlife, leaving the light dragon to its intended goal: offer the repaired master sword to the hero of legend.
it is meaningfully larger now due to absorbing light magic, meaning you play it as more of a greatsword.
Lost woods dungeon is full of small Ganon bit enemies, like lil mist dragons and funny scales with legs, and in the middle is a clump of ganon pieces mascarading as a single creature.
May or may not have a secret stone shard.
Also could do you collect all shards of the secret stone in order to separate it from ganon for good? But that's a lil too big scale for what im thinking u.u

Of course she does!!!! She doesn’t use it that often, cause it’s a lot harder for Link to get hurt for some reason
I love your dragon Zelda so much! How does she adjust to her new form? We see her get a new outfit, did she do that herself? Is she still ruler of hyruling or nah?
It can be hard to get used to a new, weird body, but it’s easier with friends! As for her being the ruler of Hyrule? In the weirdest way possible, yes. Citizens from all over Hyrule come for her wisdom and for help with their problems expecting the same perfect princess they remember, and come face to face with a HUGE dragon in the doorway of some rundown house in Hateno that’s goes, “uuuhhhh have you tried (idea)?” Before turning around and going back to bed. I love her.

If an insect flies in front of dragon Zelda's face does she just eat it like a dog or smtn does
Zelda doesn’t eat bugs, but thankfully she has a husband that does.
is zelda more pertinent to adventuring now that she's less vulnerable? can she now go exploring in high-intensity environments without much protection? or is she a homebody
She’s always loved exploring! While they love being at home and taking breaks from being the princess and the hero, they often left home for around a week to adventure around Hyrule. Whether it was for relaxation or Zelda wanted to study something, they always loved it. Now that Zelda is finally back and even stronger, they can go more often and get even more results in her studies! They can now even get good data without Link putting himself in danger :)
HUGE fan of the TOTK dragon head canon content, it's itching a good spot in the brain.

How would other people react to dragon Zelda for the first time? Would they recognize her?
Of course people recognize her! The sages, Purah, Impa, Robbie, and almost everyone in Hateno could recognize her kind face from a mile away. If anyone doesn’t recognize her, Link WILL make sure that they will in the future.
I just wanna say, whenever I see that you’ve posted, I get excited.
I LOVE your light dragon Zelda, and I often find myself saying “My wife!” every time I see her.
I want to hold her gently, and her to do the same to me

I absolutely love your drawings!! Especially with the family time together!! But may I ask, how do you think Purah reacted to seeing Mineru for the first time, then their reaction to Dragon Zelda? (I'd imagine while happy, Purah would be overloaded with research mode and Mineru being like "please don't break my ghost back with your hug!" Or something.
