I read way to many rogue au rewrites, inspiration decided to have fun with it. this took forever, but I like it well enough.

This is how I imagine them after they strayed from the shiver (more in the tags) and survived an incident with Dream (maybe a collision with another leviathan? the story is silent yet...) ♪
I believe that Cross has an amazing regeneration (as a result of the experiments), which helps him recover quickly, which cannot be said about Dream :')
A thresher shark usually has small yet strong offspring instead of laying thousands of eggs like a goldfish would do, so they surely overprotect Aim (a golden/albino rainbow shark?) who was born alone (úwù)
Cross' role is to hunt, and Dream's is to survey and protect the territory. But when Dream hunts (in his Koi form since his small form lacks an eye for a good hunting), he brings provisions for many days ;D
